speed up the pickup process I spent about 45 minutes to an hour just picking up the trailer and I was the only person picking up. this was after I went to the original pick up location on Wabash Ave. and they didn't have any trailers even though they took my reservation. I'm still not sure why the first location didn't have a trailer but I can see why the rating was so low after the service I was given.

Scary neighborhood. People were nice but late and laid back about it. Not very entertaining when your getting ready to drive 1400 miles. No instruction on equipment or check of the equipment before we left. We called the location the day before we left and were told there were no trucks, had to drive to the next state to get one.

Equipment wasn't there (furniture dolly) I was told I would have to "wait for a bit" which was unacceptable. Staff was complaining I was there too early right when they opened but I had to get on the road as soon as possible. Equipment ended up being found last minute. Contract said bring back with half a tank but the truck was empty when I got it and the employee said "rough area someone may have syphoned gasoline out of the vechile". Truck was dity with gum wrappers and seats sticky. Very unacceptable.

Reservations stated Wabash Ave as truck pickup location and confirmation call also indicated it was. When I arrived at Wabash location they couldn't select reservations and determine my truck rental was on 3rd street. Don't understand why the miscommunication on reservation.

Equipment was not ready. Customer service was very poor with no effort to resolve the problem. Follow up customer service to pick up tow dolly the next day was poor as well.

Location forgot to load the utility dolly onto the truck before overnight rental. I couldn't come back to request the dolly until after the truck was due for return, and still had to load some large items and drive to drop off. Had to pay $60 for the mistake. Very frustrating.

I reserved a truck from Budget 11 days before I needed it, received a confirmation 3 days before - only to arrive there on the day I needed it to be told they had no truck. I had to scramble to get one - thank Goodness that UHaul had one in town available. Yes it was almost twice the cost of Budget but I had my truck when I needed it and the move was successful.

My contract (and trailer) was given to the previous customer. It took me about half an hour to explain all the ways that this was a problem (Because if the previous customer (Russ) told him to "just use the credit card on file that the reservation was made with", then that's a big problem. When Russ shows up wherever he's going (which probably isn't SC) with a trailer that's scheduled to be dropped off in SC, that's going to be a problem. If Russ accidentally drops that trailer (that's rented in my name) off a cliff and wanders off whistling nonchalantly hoping no one will notice, and thus it never gets dropped off anywhere, that's a problem. And, to top it all off, Russ reserved a 4x8 trailer, but ended up getting the last 5x8 trailer in Terre Haute IN, which is fine for him, but I wasn't sure that my equipment would fit through the door of the 4x8. Luckily it did, but if it hadn't, I'd have been in quite a pickle)

I called earlier in the week to confirm I Was picking up a 10 ft truck at 2:30. That day I got an email I was getting a 15 ft truck which I did not want. I called the store and was told they close at 12:00. My flight did not get in until 12:30. I could. It use the web site to rent. I had to get someone on the phone. I also was given a truck that was only 5/8 full of gas and cost more for gas since it was larger. I tried getting u haul on the phone to file a dispute and the phone rang for 20 minutes with no pick up.

This location was sketchy--cluttered, messy outside. Inside was small, cramped, and unclean. The lone worker/owner had a dirty stained shirt, had obvious speech/cognitive issues, and didn't realize we had a reservation. Wasn't sure he would rent it to us! Did not feel safe giving this gentleman my card information.

I didn’t like the idea of having to return vehicle to rented location especially when you charge .79 per mile. It is advertised as one way and we could have saved approximately 15 miles by returning it in the town we moved to, but was told we had to return to place of rental.

I drove 22 miles and put 3 gal of gas in it. And was still charged $6 for 1.5 gal of gas. I won’t be back. Because if your truck gets less then 5 miles to the gallon then I don’t ever want to rent from you again.

The facility (a used car shop) was filthy! And reeked of cigarette smoke! I would NOT recommend anyone let alone a friend of mine go there!

When showing up to the reservation there was no on in the office. After waiting we had to go and find the people who worked there. All they did was give us the key and had us go find the truck in the lot. When opening the truck there was a bad smokey smell and the truck was basically empty on gas.
