No customer service at all. Ordered truck online and had to wait for 5 minutes while someone was on the phone. No attempt at all, even just to tell me "I'll be right with you." Another worker came in and I had to ask him for my key. Again, no customer service at all. Barely said a word to me. This is the worst Uhaul experience I've ever had (and I've rented at least a dozen times). You should choose your partners more carefully. This location is terrible.Patrick D.

Truck air conditioning did not work. Many, many issues with check in. Folks were nice but Mia-represented where I could drop the truck off in Naples. They said I could drop off anywhere which was not true. Very poor customer service on both ends.PATRICK M.

Jim Campen Trailer Sales was great, as a location. My impression of U-Haul as a company, however, is very low, because of the way their app works. It's just not very well designed. And after booking to pick up my truck in East Asheville the system rerouted me to pick it up and drop it off in South Asheville which added 9 miles one way to my journey. U-Haul charges by the mile, so this added over $20 to my bill. Patently disingenuous maneuvering which takes advantage of the customer.John H.

The lock box was old and did not easily function. It took us 1/2 hour to get the lock open. The number listed on the red to call with difficulties is out of business. The office opened two hours after our rental start! We were late meeting our movers thanks to this - and we did not select this location, UHaul reassigned us. I will cancel my reservation before I ever allow that again!TERRY S.
My first P/U location was Closed and took an hour to get changed to a new location. The P/U location was very slow and unorganized as I saw it but very friendly.. after all is said and done I lost Three hours loading time and only had till Five PM. Unacceptable..william D.

Maybe acknowledge people that are standing in line a be right with you or good morning would have been nice. The guy was just a grump only good thing I can say and even so I saved my self here with the paperwork given at pick up time. The gas hand on his end said full and was at a half tank when I got it. Not sure what happened on his end why it had wrong info if not for my paperwork with the gas on it with his signature I probably would have been screwed. I needed a uhual and got it awesome, but just absolutely terrible customer service.JESSICA J.
If you say the drop-off location is one spot don't keep changing it on the customer because it is frustrating to have to drive all around town to different U-Haul spots just to figure out where to drop it offCHASE B.
Appliance truck dolly was $11 a day and worked good for washer and dryer up 3 flights of stairs with out destroying the steps. They were courteous yet busy. I'll definitely go back. Oh, parking there is not the best though,,, no designated parking spots other than the "no parking else get towed" at the less crowded adjacent private property.JAMES S.

I was given a trailer that looked like it came out of WW2 and had steel belts coming through both tires. The guys working at Jim Campen were great but the system sucked, If they had no more 4x8 trailers for the 300 mile trip I was about to make they should have been able to upgrade to a 5x8. The guys were able to find some old (rusted almost all the way through rims and tires) and change out tires. This is the last time I use Uhaul.Ron B.

I was immediately signed up for another ubox that I didn't order. I got charged an extra 146. I was refunded only 120. Now there is another rental on my account. These people have my card information and keep illegally charging me, and I can't get a hold of anyone on the UHaul customer service line. Next call I make is to the police.Samuel S.

We reserved a 26' truck and auto transport 1 month prior and were then switched to this location by Uhaul. This location only had our truck and sent us out to Brevard to pickup the auto transport, which was about 40 minutes away. This location did not call that location so when we arrived in Brevard they had no idea why I was there and I had to sit there for over an hour while they tried to call to find out what was going on. Turns out they were in another district and nobody bothered to call them. Ricki the scheduler for Asheville area was not the schedule for that district as it was different. Inexcusable for a reservation that was made a month prior.Gerald P.
The pick up location or U-haul Corp office mixed up my billing and driver info. I waited on hold for over 90 minutes trying to get it resolved, it was not corrected. also I did not received the price that was quoted and customer service was NO help case# 3316983. All of my reservation paperwork told me the place and time. I even got a confirmation call telling me they didn't open until 9am when my reservation was at 8am. I showed up on the right day and time but they said they didn't have my reservation. I provided the number and they told me the reservation had been moved to a different location and to a different day. I spent more than an hour there waiting for them to figure everything out.JODY E.

Got charged for a dolly that was not requested. After leaving the rental location, the oil light in the truck came on after every turn made. Checking the oil in the truck, it was 3 quarts low. I don't know who services the trucks but this could have been a big issue had I left it alone.DAVID N.

You can start by honoring reservations, not making people drive HOURS to get the uboxes they ordered via reservation (this is regarding initial pickup). But most importantly, closing out the reservation when it needs to be closed out- now I have $300 in rental storage fees when I emptied my container in time. Customer service works at a snails pace. Been waiting way too long to have that issue resolved.Desirae K.

This was a awful experience. De principio a fin. The person who helped me was not the most proactive person. And he didn't seem like he knew what he was doing from the beginning. The truck that was issued had a bad battery and it had trouble starting constantly. And to top it off the truck had no gas in it. This place was a disaster I called and requested multiple items and was assured that they all would be there and they weren't. I flew to Asheville and came to this specific location because but was right by the airport. And because they said they had everything I requested to there. Upon arrival that was not the case. The truck that was issued didn't have a good battery and wouldn't turn on correctly. This became very stressful. As you thought the truck wasn't going to start . Also the car hitch didn't work properly and was defective and I couldn't even get my car on it. In the end this business was a disaster. Upon being there. I over heard the manager saying they are on the cusp of being evicted. They we're more focused on that then me being there trying to rent a truck and trailer and dolly. I complained about all of this and the manager wouldn't even come out of here office to assist. She was so concerned on telling her employees to walk on eggshells and not make anyone upset or they would be kicked out of that location. I will be taking this up with corporate for compensation for vehicles not working correctly and the inconveniences this presented in getting home from Asheville to Charlotte. This was bad business from the beginning to the end in my opinion. Very disappointing to say the least.BRADLEY C.

My location was changed to a different location for pick up and drop off which add over 10 miles to mileage. Office location was closed for pick up and drop off. I was very very uncomfortable driving the truck. Did not run very well. I have always rented from UHaul and had a great experience but today was horrible!Angela Z.

The receptionist was off-putting and rude. The rental equipment was defective and untested prior to our arrival for our reservation. Had to take defective equipment to a different location for repairs. While the maintenance guy was friendly, he was ultimately unhelpful as he was unable to repair the defective equipment and could not answer questions about Uhaul's policies. Overall, it was a poor experience, and even I would not recommend this location to my worst enemy.Bao Y.
