The pick up location or U-haul Corp office mixed up my billing and driver info. I waited on hold for over 90 minutes trying to get it resolved, it was not corrected. also I did not received the price that was quoted and customer service was NO help case# 3316983. All of my reservation paperwork told me the place and time. I even got a confirmation call telling me they didn't open until 9am when my reservation was at 8am. I showed up on the right day and time but they said they didn't have my reservation. I provided the number and they told me the reservation had been moved to a different location and to a different day. I spent more than an hour there waiting for them to figure everything out.JODY E.

Got charged for a dolly that was not requested. After leaving the rental location, the oil light in the truck came on after every turn made. Checking the oil in the truck, it was 3 quarts low. I don't know who services the trucks but this could have been a big issue had I left it alone.DAVID N.

You can start by honoring reservations, not making people drive HOURS to get the uboxes they ordered via reservation (this is regarding initial pickup). But most importantly, closing out the reservation when it needs to be closed out- now I have $300 in rental storage fees when I emptied my container in time. Customer service works at a snails pace. Been waiting way too long to have that issue resolved.Desirae K.

This was a awful experience. De principio a fin. The person who helped me was not the most proactive person. And he didn't seem like he knew what he was doing from the beginning. The truck that was issued had a bad battery and it had trouble starting constantly. And to top it off the truck had no gas in it. This place was a disaster I called and requested multiple items and was assured that they all would be there and they weren't. I flew to Asheville and came to this specific location because but was right by the airport. And because they said they had everything I requested to there. Upon arrival that was not the case. The truck that was issued didn't have a good battery and wouldn't turn on correctly. This became very stressful. As you thought the truck wasn't going to start . Also the car hitch didn't work properly and was defective and I couldn't even get my car on it. In the end this business was a disaster. Upon being there. I over heard the manager saying they are on the cusp of being evicted. They we're more focused on that then me being there trying to rent a truck and trailer and dolly. I complained about all of this and the manager wouldn't even come out of here office to assist. She was so concerned on telling her employees to walk on eggshells and not make anyone upset or they would be kicked out of that location. I will be taking this up with corporate for compensation for vehicles not working correctly and the inconveniences this presented in getting home from Asheville to Charlotte. This was bad business from the beginning to the end in my opinion. Very disappointing to say the least.BRADLEY C.

My location was changed to a different location for pick up and drop off which add over 10 miles to mileage. Office location was closed for pick up and drop off. I was very very uncomfortable driving the truck. Did not run very well. I have always rented from UHaul and had a great experience but today was horrible!Angela Z.

The receptionist was off-putting and rude. The rental equipment was defective and untested prior to our arrival for our reservation. Had to take defective equipment to a different location for repairs. While the maintenance guy was friendly, he was ultimately unhelpful as he was unable to repair the defective equipment and could not answer questions about Uhaul's policies. Overall, it was a poor experience, and even I would not recommend this location to my worst enemy.Bao Y.

We had to keep the truck for an extra day to our apartment pushing our move in date back. My wife called and told the lady who answered the phone that we would bring it back Tuesday afternoon, we wouldn't get our keys until Tuesday at 9. They said "that was fine, they would get everything handled when we turned it in." I started my first day of work with a new company on Tuesday, and I started receiving phone calls asking where the truck was. I explained that we had called them the day before, and was told it was fine. Then they informed me that has a reservation for the truck and needed it before 12. It was 9:30... so my wife was stuck trying to unload a 26 foot truck by herself... fortunately, I explained everything to my employer, and they let me go help get everything moved in. When we returned the truck, I was told it was going to be a few minutes until they finished up with the customer.. after waiting for 20 minutes, the employee was calling and trying to order a birthday cake for her daughter's 18th birthday. A gentleman came and got the keys from me, and said they would email a receipt.CALEB L.

Make it more clear where to go to check in. I stood in front of what looked like a parts counter for 10 minutes while the man behind then counter was chatting with another customer before someone came out from a back office and said they could help me back there. Then after I had supplied all my info online including credit card and drivers license, I had to supply the same information again. The woman was nice enough during check in but inconvenient for me to have to provide information twice.Dana D.

Let me tell you. For reference, I am a woman in my early 20's. I had to move out of my apartment previously shared with my ex boyfriend into a new apartment. I was working when I found out about having to move, so I gave my mother all my information and asked her to rent me a uhaul, only needed like a 10' truck (I don't have much stuff) this woman turned around and rented me a 26' truck. I get there, get the paperwork done, sign everything, get my keys etc. friendly staff, wonderful service. They pulled out that truck and my heart dropped. I said a quick prayer and I bucked up and hopped in that truck. I was scared shitless, cursing and praying every breath. That thing drove so smoothly, was east to handle, and was not as bad as I was expecting. This was my first ever uhaul rental, and it was amazing.Katelyn W.

This location was much better than the South Asheville Corporate location. The manager at the South Adheville Corporate location is very rude and unhelpful from the moment you walk in. Campen Uhaul was friendly and professional.ANDREW R.
I scheduled far in advanced to pick up my equipment locally and then uhaul moved it and it severely inconvenienced me. I called uhaul and they stated that they would give me a 50$ credit which I have yet to see. Bad experience overall with uhaul and I will not be using them again.Michael O.

I called U-Haul a week in advance with my reservation and was given the link to pick up the truck using my smartphone. I then called the location the day in advance to verify if I could pick up the truck the next day using my phone. Upon arrival that morning planning to pick up the truck between 7 and 7:30 my phone and your link instructed me that I was picking up the truck in person which is something I never spoke about or intended to do. It it created a 2-hour delay to start my move which required 7 hours or more to make this long-distance move. It inconvenienced the company who loaded my truck and a friend who was helping me. I then was given a truck with a quarter tank of gas and this required another inconvenient stop which was not planned. Upon returning the truck I was surprised and how much information photos give me the dashboard the truck were required to drop it off. I would have paid $20 had I known it was going to be this time consuming.Matt W.

I completed by Ubox contact here on 1/26/21 . I paid for the truck, mileage and took the Ubox that was shipped from Orlando ( where I already paid the $79.95 storage fee for a month . Today nearly 3 months later , they called me and asked if I had rented a Ubox , I said yes and she said thank you and hung up . Then she charged my account $85.15 again for storage ! Location was changed the day before pick up and was further from our house, so we had to pay overage fees for mileage. The pick up location was busy that morning, so we had to wait almost an hour to get our truck. Some staff were friendly, but the woman who checked us out was snippy when we asked if there was an issue with our rental.Edward R.
I had rented a strapped appliance dolly and blankets. When I opened the back of the truck, there is another bag of blankets and a regular dolly attached to the wall of he truck. I had to pay if I used them, but the problem is they were in my way. Especially the dolly. Next time I will ask for them to be removed before I rent a truck. Make sure the trailers are swept out after use. Acknowledge customers when they come inside and make them feel valued. This location has no sense of urgency and just moves at a snails pace. I completed the online check in to improve the check in process and limit the person to person contact. When I arrived at the site I was asked for the same information and had to present my license and credit card. I am not sure why I needed to complete the online check in if U-Haul is not going to use it, and does not seam to care about trying to operate in a safe manner, as it relates to the COVID-19 virus . I am very careful about contact with other individuals and I wear a mask when in the company of other individuals The representative did not wear a mask nor did another individual in the office when I came in. The van was dirty inside and there were no signs of disinfecting the van prior to my rental. I am very disappointed in the lack of CDC protocol U-Haul is exhibiting toward their customers. I would be pleased to talk with the U-Haul person responsible for U-Haul's COVID-19 operating protocol. Bob Hunt.Robert H.
