I booked the UHaul 4 weeks out to be picked up *from the Leavenworth KS location* and with an appliance dolly. I was called the day before to let me know that the UHaul I requested was now in Platte City, a further 25 miles from the location I had reserved at, oh, and it wouldn't be ready at 8am it would now be 9am. So I had to drive further, which of course racked up the miles on the UHaul *WHICH YOU THEN CHARGED ME ADDITIONAL MILEAGE FOR* !!!!! To top it all, when I did pick up the UHaul they didn't have an appliance dolly (or even a furniture dolly available), so we had to lug a fridge/freezer, a washer and a dryer up 3 flights of stairs without it. Extremely disappointed, especially about being charged extra mileage because the UHaul wasn't in the place I'd reserved it. If that's the case, why even bother with a reservation at all? Really unhappy. Will not be using UHaul again, will find an alternative rental company.

They're usually great. This time I got a truck that leaked. It ruined a lot of my belongings. When I returned the truck and told them all I got was "thanks for letting us know"..... but tally? What about the insurance I paid for....my things got ruined :/

I had to ask where they wanted the trailer. They asked if I wanted help or not. I can manage unhooking a trailer myself but I'd never turn down help when returning one.

I had requested a appliance dolly and there was none when i picked up the truck. The truck had the engine light on when I picked it up, and it had a bad exhaust leak. Also the mileage that was documented on the registration was 83 miles under the actual mileage of the truck.

U-Haul switched me to this location the day before I rented. However I came in on a flight and the location was close for U-Haul business supposedly from 1130 to 1. The manager, Bobby was very helpful and took care of business. Even know it was during their reported closing. However, there was a younger employee there that was somewhat passive aggressive, and even though he said that he had 24 furniture pads in the truck, there were only 18.

I had reserved a truck from another location 2 weeks prior to needing the truck. The plan was to get the truck in Kansas City and then drop the truck in Rolla Missouri. I got a message from uhaul the night before my pickup telling me I needed to go to a different location to get my truck. I got to the new location (above) and they said they had a 10' truck, but that it needed to be returned. They also said I would have to pay for both ways since their truck was considered "local only". I did not mind driving the truck all the way back to Kansas City, but I should not have to pay for the return since the original plan was to leave the truck in Rolla. We got our work done, but what a disaster. It seemed like everything was going to go very well, and the day before our move everything went off the tracks. Pretty disappointing

When I dropped the truck off, I was told there was nothing more to do. Later, I received an email stating I went over on miles and the fuel was lower than what I left it at and I am being charged an additional $70.

When you check in the identity part I feel like it should be done when you reserve the U-Haul so you’re not waiting to get approval when you go pick up the U-Haul

Well a mix up from jump I talk to someone gave her my zip code told her I need equipment and it could be back same day she sent me 20 miles out of the way and I had a UHale 5 miles then where I picked it up I told the KIDS I would like to take it back close to my house so went to take it back by me could not do it had to take it back 20 miles away

Friendly, but incompetent. Bobby hitched my trailer and less than 10 miles down the intestate the trailer came unhitched. Luckily no harm was done, but no ownership or understanding of the severity of what the outcome could have been.

Check in process was bizarrely difficult, drop off location had changed multiple times, initially without any input from me, and seemed to have made the process of accepting my vehicle difficult. Certainly was not the employee's fault, he went above and beyond to resolve and was ultimately successful, but the overall UHaul experience was frankly awful.

The desk would have been hard to find, but the store clerk came up to me and asked me what I needed right away. I am unhappy with UHaul. It moved my pick up location 40 miles away when I reserved the truck a month in advance.

We ordered 12 packing blankets and we only received a bag of 4 blankets. The UHAUL representative at this location did not have us count the blankets, walk around the truck to look for and list any previous damage, or tell us anything about the operation of the truck.

We ordered a 20 for and had to take a 26 foot. It was much bigger and got terrible mileage and the ride was very rough. Most people would have appreciated a larger truck but for us it was an inconvenience. When we checked the truck in, they couldn't find the second contract for the blankets we rented from the u- haul center so we have no idea how they are going to resolve that. We took pictures of the blankets in the truck at the turn- in facility. They looked by name and by contact number and found nothing. I'm sure that means we are in for a battle. We were warmed that both contracts needed to be checked in... fingers crossed

When I tried to resolve an issue that the local dealer was unable to handle, I was told to call the 800 number and don't call back and hung up on. After calling the 800# I was hung up on twice then cold transfered back to the local that was rude tole already. The owner of that local dealer said to me he hated uhaul anyway and can't wait to do away with it. By the way, I still have not gotten my over charged amount back from a rental a week ago.
