Check in process was bizarrely difficult, drop off location had changed multiple times, initially without any input from me, and seemed to have made the process of accepting my vehicle difficult. Certainly was not the employee's fault, he went above and beyond to resolve and was ultimately successful, but the overall UHaul experience was frankly awful.Elli S.

The desk would have been hard to find, but the store clerk came up to me and asked me what I needed right away. I am unhappy with UHaul. It moved my pick up location 40 miles away when I reserved the truck a month in advance.David T.

We ordered 12 packing blankets and we only received a bag of 4 blankets. The UHAUL representative at this location did not have us count the blankets, walk around the truck to look for and list any previous damage, or tell us anything about the operation of the truck.Steven F.

We ordered a 20 for and had to take a 26 foot. It was much bigger and got terrible mileage and the ride was very rough. Most people would have appreciated a larger truck but for us it was an inconvenience. When we checked the truck in, they couldn't find the second contract for the blankets we rented from the u- haul center so we have no idea how they are going to resolve that. We took pictures of the blankets in the truck at the turn- in facility. They looked by name and by contact number and found nothing. I'm sure that means we are in for a battle. We were warmed that both contracts needed to be checked in... fingers crossedWilliam S.

When I tried to resolve an issue that the local dealer was unable to handle, I was told to call the 800 number and don't call back and hung up on. After calling the 800# I was hung up on twice then cold transfered back to the local that was rude tole already. The owner of that local dealer said to me he hated uhaul anyway and can't wait to do away with it. By the way, I still have not gotten my over charged amount back from a rental a week ago.Crystal B.

I had reserved a trailer in st joe but had to come to this location to pick one up. Dont give me a reservation and switch it. There was a reason I had selected the pick up location.Justin B.
When I rented the uhaul I was told the vehicle had a full tank when I got it it was a little above 3/4 of a tank and I was told to fill it up all the way when I got the vehicle as well the uhaul driver side mirror was right against another uhauls passenger mirrorALYSSA H.

The original location 1520 Locust failed to pull the 26' truck I reserves and I had to drive 39 minutes out of my way to pickup a truck at the 2300 Kentucky ave. location in Platt City. They were not very helpful or knowledgeable. They also put a 3rd charge on my card. I AM NOT HAPPY AT ALL. I'll use Penske drum today forward.CHARLESE M.

I went in one day to rent here, and they had no service from 11:30 to 1 so I rented elsewhere which cancelled on me the day before at 5 and switched the reservation to here.....However, this location did not have any moving pads that I had ordered. This location was good but the overall experience with Uhaul was less than satisfactory.Barry R.

The problem is that my online reservation supposedly didn't transfer the additional item requests to the location. So, for an after hours pickup and not having any way to report that I had NO appliance dolly, NO furniture dollies, and only 5 pads.... so it put us behind a few hours. The location got me the dollies in the morning and were accommodating. However, when I returned the truck , I reminded them that there were only 5 pads in the truck. I was still charged for 12 pads. Not good. I'd say there needs to be a way to let uhaul know of missing items at pickup. GraciasNORMAN R.

Gentleman was not very excited or helpful. Somehow I was charged twice for $711, luckily I used a credit card and not my bank card as the money was tied up for 3 days. Pulled the truck out, asked if I had any questions and off I went.Louis D.

I was charged over 300 dollars to drive one 20 ft truck from my house to a new house on the other side of Kansas City twice. Two 47 mile round trips cost me over 300. I could've dropped it off in Grain Valley, but they wrote it up for me to return it to their location. I could've done the exact same thing with Penske for literally 1/3rd of the cost. Will NEVER use U-Haul again, and I'll be passing my experience along to every single other military member I come in contact with.AARON H.

Customer service was not good. The staff was not knowledgable about the equipment. The equipment was still covered in snow when we showed up at 10:00, which was our pickup time. The gentleman in charge was swearing a lot inside the business. It took us over 40 minutes to get our equipment, and we did the online checking, including uploading the I'd, and payment, the day before. It was poor service quality.Chad C.

I ordered a 15 foot at last minute they changed and gave me a 20 foot with at least 4 15 foot trucks sitting in the lot. Truck was so dirty you could hardly see out of the windows. The REAR DOOR SPRING Cable BROKE ON FIRST USE. The girl at the counter wasn't very friendly, almost mean.Richard H.
The 10' truck I was scheduled to take was not present. After waiting on hold for 20 minutes and several transfers to talk to the right person, I was told by the Scheduling Manager to go ahead and take the 10' truck that was there (different model number) and she would take care of the change on her end and replace the order I had submitted. Three hours later, after my wife and I finished moving all that we needed to in town, I came back to the service center to return the Uhaul truck. The order was still not switched and I had to call the Scheduling Manager back. After a series of dropped calls, hang ups (on Uhaul's end) and another 20 minute hold time, I finally talked to someone that was able to help. She called the pick-up/drop-off location to get it sorted out. We were charged around $7 for additional milage that was past the 30 mile allotment (we didn't drive over 25 miles, our move was in town). They offered us a $50 partial refund for the inconvenience, but we got a net of $42 after the egregious $7 charge (yes, I am making a big deal of $7, but its the principal). Needless to say, I am very disappointed with Uhaul in this situation. I expect a full refund for this inconvenience.William B.
Truck was dusty in the back, white dog hair on the passenger seat. Rental agents were not wearing masks, and refused to when I asked. If it wasn't the only place in town that had the truck I needed to move I would have walked out. Upon return, I wanted to switch credit cards and the rental agent didn't know how to do it. My wife and I were well received at the location. But the Uhaul truck was not just dirty inside, it was filthy! There cat hair all in the truck and sticky drink in the driver's side. I asked for it to be cleaned, but the customer service representative did a horrible. I had to stop at a Walmart to buy disinfectant and clean inside the truck. Under no circumstances will I ever recommend this location to anyone!Annei A.
I went to pick up my rental truck and was told all trucks were rented and I should have received a message from Uhaul instructing me to go to another location with available truck. I had reserved a two day rental. They were able to loan me a truck but only overnight and had to return prior to 8:00 am the next morning.Amy G.
