Clean the U-Haul. Make sure equipment is included and if it’s not, inform us ahead of time. At the last minute we found out the dolly we paid for was not there and we struggled with moving our large items due to not having a dolly! It really made for a negative experience. I was hurting (back etc) for several days from excess lifting. If I had the dolly I paid for, I could have avoided that.

Return time was set for an evening drop off. There was not a key Drop Box available at this location. Rented a truck online with mileage at $0.79/mile, rate was changed owner to $0.99/mi without knowledge or receipt of this change. This resulted in over $20 of extra charges. Horrible.

Location OK ,,, but was missing dolly and furniture pads I had ordered

Whomever had previously used the truck left the passenger window down a couple inches. It had rained the day before so that would explain water in the door. Also an empty pack of cigarettes was in the cab. I had originally rented online at the Governors Drive location. When I arrived they told me to go to Drake Avenue. No one had called to let me know of the change in location. Also I had paid for rental use of blankets and a rolling dolly. None were in the vehicle. The Drake Avenue person told me I was to get a refund on the rental cost of those items. Again no one called to let me know this. I could have made other arrangements for those items had I but known. The only negative on the Drake Avenue location was the condition of the cab. When you are moving to a new location you rely on things to be done.

I have been charged for over $300, when the fee the contract mentions is $163. I have been given no option to dispute these charges.

I was charged for a insurance plan I did not request. I was also given a dolly I did not request and shorted some blankets I did add on.

Truck was dirty, smelled or smoke, and not all the supplies where at this location. This was not the location I picked when setting up the rental. I had to go to two locations to get the required supplies I needed. 5.5 hours in a dirty and smoke smell cab is never a fun day.

Bad experience when picking up truck Uhaul changed location night before was ok then when picked up truck there was no appliance dolly took 2 hours to find a different location & had to drive 15 minutes to get it .This was so frustrating because we had movers with us & it delayed us moving furniture I don’t think I will use uhaul again

At first there was no manager on duty..., the young man there was a new employee. The manager was called and asked to come to the store to assist and finally showed up so that a receipt / print out on the truck transaction could be made available. People were waiting to take the truck back out, but we would not allow them to take it until transaction was finished.

It’s a gas station. A chevron. There was no space to park the 26 foot truck. The guy wanted me to take it to another location. He was very rude. Won’t return there.

The proprietor was rude. My scheduled time for pick up was 8:30. I arrived about 8:45 and was told my time to pick was 9:30. I explained that I was scheduled for 8:30 and I was never notified of a time change. He said that he didn’t have the keys to the truck so my time was moved to 9:30. He sent me a text right then with time change. I asked why he didn’t let me know sooner. He rolled his eyes and said he didn’t know before then. This location is just a gas station and not a true uhaul location. I will never use this location again.

I requested when I picked up the vehicle that the rental be for 8 hours instead of 4. I was told by Patel that he updated it on my reservation/rental contract. When I received my receipt via email 3 hours later, I discover that I had been charged DOUBLE the rate I was supposed to pay. I returned the truck with the same amount of fuel as when I picked it up, it was clean, no damages, and only driven 6 miles. I will not rent a U-Haul from this location again.

The owners attitude was extremely rude and he was not really approachable. I informed him that I was misquoted on the price of the truck and he literally said “I don’t care that’s not my problem”. Extremely rude.

It is a convenience store location so he was trying to help me in between customers. He could not tell me what my final total was going to be. Just said I would get a receipt in my email. I am praying there are not any surprises. He made me carry in my pads, all 36 of them, into his convenience store. I had fallen while I was moving and sprained my ankle pretty badly so I could hardly walk. I was not happy at all.

Again, no record of the rental, no record of the drop-off, no nothing. The clerk at the convenience store spoke very little English. It took almost 10 minutes when it should have taken one or two minutes. I've submitted a detail account of the rental to your Communications/PR staff. You can read the rest there.

Drop off was an issue. The first suggested drop off was a distance from my move location. The second suggested drop off’s supplied directions, were incorrect. When I called for further instructions, the third drop off location was good. The service person (Tyrone) was excellent.

Made a reservation with the Madison Collision Center location in Madison AL for a 10 foot truck. A week after I went to pick up the truck they informed me the truck has been rented out to fedex for a month now. They sent me to a location much further away, meaning I’d have to pay a lot more in mileage, and UHaul refused to compensate me mileage even though two reps told me I can be compensated for it. A easy move turned into a hassle and problems with UHaul.

Uhaul charged my card 293 without my authorization after I changed my reservations to a local move instead of a one way. Very unsatisfied and would like my money back NOW!

When getting to pickup. My reservation was at 7am. I went in the gas station to pickup my truck and they guy told me they didn’t come in until 8am and I told him my reservation time and he shrugged like “too bad” and I called the number of the company multiple times with no answer. He got my number to call “the guy in charge” and told me he would get back to me. So I stood around the gas station trying to get ahold of someone and no one would answer. Finally the guy told me he was in touch with someone and got things going. It was terrible communication and customer service. I would not recommend this location at all.

When I originally made my reservation it was at a different location. The morning of pickup the desired truck had not been returned. I recieved no notice of this untill after I showed up with four helpers and was delayed about an hour. Both locations were extreemly helpful But a text with new information would have helped. Still, alls well that ends well.

I was assigned a trailer drop off for this location and it normally only serviced I haul trucks. It didn’t have a good place for a trailer because all the parking spots for the trucks were filled

When I went to drop off, I had to give my key to the gas station attendant. He said he doesn't work for uhaul but to just turn in the key to him because no one else was there. I didn't get any kind of receipt. He didn't check the vehicle or anything. I asked him to call customer service about my issue but he just wrote down the number for me.

The "guaranteed" equipment availability was not honored - no appliance dolly to go with the truck. This location is gas station & convenience store primarily, that happens to offer Uhaul.

The fuel tank was empty when I picked up the truck. I did not notice this until I had driven away. I called the store manager and let them know. I put more fuel in than I needed, because I did not want to get stranded with this truck.

This is a Chevron Station and this is the 2nd time we've gone in with a reservation and they didn't know what was going on. We had to call Customer Service and give our CC over the phone again instead of being able to run it through for processing from reservation info. The clerks seem to not know the U-haul procedures and we spend valuable time (moving company) and was late to our customer, because they didn't know what was going on. We won't use this facility again.
