U Haul as a whole, need better communication between the locations. Stop over booking and being greedy. Your customers have time lines and businesses to run as well. Young man in the store was rude, not helpful, when I asked for a manager name and when he would be available the young man refused to give it to me. He yelled at me, called me names and hid in the back room to not help unhook trailer. He was talking on his cell phone and telling a friend that he was being smart ass to me.Dawn C.
When I went in to make the payment for the truck the person (man) behind the counter made me feel discriminated against. I was the only person in the store until a man walked in. The man behind the counter interrupted me speaking and told me that I needed to wait. He then began speaking with the man that came in and took care of his business. Then two more men walked in and I had to wait for the man behind the counter to take care of them too. I came back later and then there was a new person working and then for some odd reason the credit care machine wouldn't take my payment. I had my son with me so he had to pay for my truck. Very unhappy with the first place I booked, I called the sales manager and left a long message on his phone and he never called me back. The person at the first place did not know how to release the trailer I reserved at Blue Buildings. Saying our reservation was there but the trailer number was not reserved and he had two to hand out, so I called U haul and had to go elsewhere to get another trailer. So I want my 50 dollars guarantee promised if the location I reserved could not provide the trailer. which was the case.Gary P.

Jason's Mart provided absolutely no assistance. I had to figure out the trailer hitch and how to shorten the excessively long safety chains so they wouldn't drag. There was nobody to check proper function of lights so I could only check turn signals by myself. Trailer had a crack that leaked. Two different rated tires were mounted requiring 2 different pressures. Neither tire was within 10 psi of the correct pressures. One high and one low. Trailer was dirty inside. I reserved the trailer with a drop off location and it didn't show up on the contract. Jason's Mart personnel merely said there were several options in St. Augustine so that's why it only said St. Augustine. That proved a bad mistake. Always make sure the desired drop off location is listed on the contract if it matters. It mattered for me because I had coordinated commitments at that drop off location that went very badly when they would not take my trailer back at 3524 US 1 in St. Augustine. They would not take my trailer and sent me 45 minutes away to drop off. I made my drop off time by 5 minutes and it cost me 90 minutes of driving and gas and I missed my coordinated appointment. Later that same day I was at 3524 US 1 St. Augustine location to pickup someone returning a truck and witnessed someone else returning the same size trailer I had attempted to return earlier and was rejected. The equipment was clean. His store got broke into and they stole the exhaust systems off the trucks which is in no way uhaul or this locations fault. Just made the day a lot longerCorbin G.
I end up using 162 Wilkesboro Blvd, Lenoir NC because U-Haul failed to have the 26 foot truck available in Morganton NC as per our contact agreement. This coast me an extra hour of labor that i was paying for. 3 worker x 20.00 per hour. THANK YOU U-HAUL.Thomas R.
The location is very busy and sometime hard to get help because they are helping with a lot of other people, but that was right at the after work rush, so to be expected. The only other thing, when I called in to extend my reservation, they only mentioned paying the truck fee again, not the insurance and utility rentals too. Don't recommend a 6 hour rental and then charge an entire day when it's an hour late. Also process took 30 min to retrieve but time still started at scheduled time.Roman R.
Great customer service. The lady assisted me with everything I needed and any questions I had. Such a great experience dropping the uhaul off. I was expecting it to me difficult but the online process and taking pictures of the vehicle and location was easy through the guided online process. Such a great experience. I once long ago (2013) rented a uhaul from a different location and as always I take a pic of the odometer before and after I finish and they added 40 miles to it. My husband had just died and I did not have it in me to even go talk to the shady uhaul vendor. During this process there was no way anything can be altered. I felt safe and comfortable with the process in this experience. Great job for both locations pickup and drop off. Thank you so much. Because of this great experience I will recommend both locations to anyone who needs a moving van.Jasmin C.

I reserved a truck 3 days in advance at the HIckory NC location, when I arrived the app wouldn't let me check in, I went inside and they said they have no trucks available and that may reservation had never gotten a truck assigned to it. I asked how does this happen when my end showed I was confirmed. They found me a truck 30 mins away and I had to go get, they didn't not have all the things I orginally had reserved on my account, I turned the truck in and got charged for 49 miles which is because I had to go to a different location to get my truck. Very frustrating expereince. Please feel free to call me and maybe refund the extra mileage I was charged and want to make sure I am not charged twice for the orginal reservation. 828-699-5379Billy C.

The first place on my agreement was changed to Redline auto in Lenoir. I went to this location and the guy Jeff said he was running late and would be there 20 minutes late. The called after 15 minutes and told me he did not have the trailer I requested. He then told me to go to Jason's mart above. Jason's Matt was good, Redline Auto had me sitting around waiting for nothing. The lot only had two trucks, no trailers. He should have known this prior to my arrival.kelly O.

I have rented U-Haul's several times over the years without incident or problem. Well this time the computer was down, the clerks were very busy so I was patient. I was charged $10 for padding and dolly I did not rent nor ask for. Only rented and asked for truck. The man behind the counter said I needed to talk to the owner of the Uhaul part, Steve. Steve said he reimbursed the $10 but I do not have a receipt he said he emailed me. The gas level was wrong, therefore I put in more gas than was the beginning level and not reimbursed for that. I will not used this location again. I don't feel I need to check everything on the receipt to make sure I was charged correctly. Thank goodness I did.jean H.

You need to not charge the premium rate for drop off only to find out that you have to drop off in another city which is a lower rate but you are charged the higher rate. We paid more to drop off in Boone, NC but once we were there and paid the higher rate to drop off in Boone Uhaul instructed us to drive down the mountain to drop off in Lenoir, NC.John H.

I thought i was renting a truck in Boone, was not told i was picking up the truck in Lenoir until asking the question several times the day before. by the way if you don't return your truck to an authorized dealer they will not buy back the extras as they tell you they will. Went to this location on 6-12-19 and reserved a 6x12 trailer for 6-13-19. went to pick up and it was not there. It had been rented out. Had to call uhaul rep. He found a trailer at landmark that was out of our way to our trip. We were at least 90min late to our appointment. Landmark self storage was nice to us and helpful.neil P.

. My problem was with u-haul reservation. 1) I did not get the location requested. When I confirmed my reservation I was told a new location or no truck. 2.) I get to the New location ,which was totally in the opposite direction that I was going and they do not have the truck available that I reserved. 3) Also no furniture pads available that I ordered.4) I am finally given a larger truck which turned out to be too large for the area we were going. Overall I was very disappointed with u-haul. The clerks at this location apologized for everything. I do not blame them. U-haul did not follow thru with my reservation. I had reserved the truck in Boone, but had to drive down the mountain to Lenoir to pick-up the truck. Then when I got to the pick-up location, it was understaffed, and I had to wait 15 minutes to even talk to anyone there. Overall, it took almost 2 extra hours to pick up the truck in Lenoir rather than getting it in Boone where I reserved it -- resulting in my missing an event later in the day. This is unprofessional and unacceptable. I will never rent from U-Haul again if I ever have another alternative. What can you do? Honor the reservationGray S.
I have put in a complaint to U-Haul because we cleaned out our unit and we turned it in and there was nothing said about an additional charge except for the day extra we had the U-Haul... Later we found out we were charge for cleaning! This is definitely an unfair charge!Juliana T.

The agent was not aware of the option to self-check in on my phone. I completed the entire check-in process, including processing payment on my debit card and the money showing deducted on my bank account. Since the agent did not have to process anything on her side in this type of transaction it confused her so she reversed my transaction and reprocessed it causing a second payment of $187.59 to be debited from my bank account. Now I do not have enough in my account for the house payment which was due that evening. I did my part correctly but due to improperly trained agents I am now late and having to pay late percentages. Very unssatisfied and disappointed. For a transaction that I should have only been inside the store for a couple minutes to get the key, I was in the store waiting on the agent to make several calls to managers to figure out what she needed to do for almost an hour...52 total minutes!!!
