The couplers on the hitch on the trailer that we rented never got tight enough around the ball to stop any excess movement. I think that is an issue that your maintenance crew should look at. Otherwise it was a successful rental.

Issue with pre payment for second party to pick up van. They did not read initial contract and demanded payment from my son who had to use his debt card, when mine was on file, I was the one who rented the van and authorized for him to use it and use my card for all charges.

One of the tow bar straps on our tow-carriage broke mid-trip and caused us to miss a Friday deadline, forcing us to stay in a hotel for two nights to wait for the office to open on Monday. We were able to complete the trip but had to slow down significantly out of concern for the vehicle being towed. After dropping the tow bar off, we discovered the other strap was at the breaking point as well

The truck needed a tune up very badly. We went 7 miles and had to put 5 gallons of gas in the thing because it was running so rich you could smell the gas. The customer service rep agreed and should have considered that in the final price. Hopefully, the truck will not be rented out again until it gets looked at.

The only issue on the day of my pickup was that the person renting the trailer before me was late to return it and I had to wait about half an hour to use it myself. The Jarms ACE team apologized on the customers behalf and kept me updated when the trailer was returned. Israel was awesome and helped me set up the trailer and complete paperwork promptly.

With respect to the question "Was the equipment clean and well maintained?", I selected no. That is based completely on the tires. The trailer itself was clean and well maintained. The tires were worn substantially beyond specifications. No tread, completely flat, smooth.

When we reserved it, it was supposed to be for 8 hrs. When we showed up it was rented for 24 hours. Which we didn't need. They wouldn't do it for less than that. So we cancelled it and drove all the way to north Spokane trying to find another one. We couldn't so we had to go back. I reserved it again and made sure it was for 8 hours. When we showed up it was correctly booked and they didn't say this time "It has to be 24 hours". I doubt I will use this location again.

Personnel was not aware of any door issues with the trailer until I arrived to pick it up. Should inspect the units better before renting them out.

We had a lot of difficulty with this rental, started out with U-Haul's website, the pick up location had to call a third party in order for us to get the trailer. After getting the trailer, loading it and starting on our way we received a call saying that our drop off location had changed. The drop off location was over an hour away from our final destination, we talked to a service representative to try to find a closer drop off, we found on and let him know of it. It cost us more money to drop off at a closer location. Needless to say we are not happy.

Because your system was down and I had to pay cash, I was unable to immediately get my cash deposit of 100 dollars back and had to settle for receiving a check, whenever I get it in the mail. I was really unhappy with this a felt it was wrong not to get my cash deposit back immediately, since I had no choice but to pay that way because your system was down. I'm none too happy with uhaul at the moment

Customer service was very poor. i had a 24-7 pick up scheduled, they never left the key in the box, would not admit it was there fault. I called U-haul they said yes its right here in our computer your suppose to have the ability to pick it up. 2nd when i went back at 1000 am, now 2 hrs behind. I am standing outside with other customers 10 min prior, understandable not to go in yet, (due to Covid, and not being open) but i explain the situation to a timid employee, that i am not blaming anyone but i need to talk to a manager, to get this started, so i can get on the road. No doing, when i walk in , I am attacked verbally by the manager that i was treating there employee wrong, I hadn't even had a chance to tell them the issue yet. Then the manager would not listen that i was to have had access to pick up my UHaul early, (we don't open till 1000 am) , i understand , but the setup was for me to pick it up early, i had already not only talked with UHAUL AT 0800 am , and the owner the few days before. I called them right in front of the manager and the manager still would not accept any responsibility for the stores actions. This is not acceptable customer service for 3rd party or another contractors work to be handled in this manner. THE WHOLE TRANSACTION , WHEN I WAS FINALLY ABLE TO PICK UP , WAS NOTHING BUT RUDE. EVEN WHEN I WENT OUT TO THE TRUCK WITH THE MANAGER, I SAID I AM SORRY YOU WERE PUT ON THE DEFENSE, NEVER EVEN LOOKED AT ME. SO SAD FOR PEOPLE TO TREAT ONES LIKE THIS AT A PLACE AND COMMUNITY THAT IS AS SMALL AS IT IT IS, LET ALONE ANYWHERE FOR PROFESSIONAL BUSINESS TO BE CONDUCTED IN THIS MANNER.

I don't think it's right that we were charged for extra mileage. The Cheney return location was further away, I think then estimated by U-Haul. We were unable to find the place to return the truck with the “mapquest” directions. Called then, not once but twice to find they had sent us on a “goose run” in the wrong direction as Cheney has more then one “ Andrus RD” . It is the same but comes out in different directions. The First Lady, even though I gave her our address told us the wrong way. After driving, which seemed like forever we stopped and called again to find out we weren't even close!!!! So the extra miles on the truck were not anything we did, but rather an issue with directions! Thanks!

It would have been nice to know the doors have an auto lock feature. The door locked while the keys were in the ignition, so we lost 90 minutes of our time waiting for a locksmith, then had to pay $100 to get it unlocked. Would be helpful if you covered that information in the rental details. Other than that, the experience was fine.

I was charged for gas as if I did not put in any gasoline. At 10pm, after moving myself all day, I had not expected to go and start the truck to find it not working. The lights were not left on to have drained the battery, so I had no idea as to what happened. It took an hour to get a truck out at that time of night. Then the truck had to run, using the gas that I had put in at the start, to keep a charge. So, not thinking, I returned the truck to its location and brought the keys the next day. I had explained the situation but no discount was given for the inadequate maintenance that could have caused my waiting an hour in the cold. Instead, I still had to pay, this time monetarily, for the problem via the gasoline charge.

Our truck was covered with mud including the inside cabin even the steering wheel. And the bed in the back had mud all over in it. My husband tried to wipe it up with rags we had and the gas tank was below full.

I had dangerous driving conditions due to the left front tire as there was something wrong and didnt realize it until after I stated the drive and I made a complaint with the location upon drop off and they filed a complaint on my behalf as there was clearly something wrong with the vehicle and it was unsafe to drive.

They charged me 39.00 for 2 gallons of gas. Not sure if I will ever use uhaul again I've been using uhaul for over 40 years normally I return vehicles with more gas than it had I believe 30.00 to be very unrealistic to put in 2 gallons of gas

I was told that my tow dolly would be at a location nearby. After driving 150 miles to pick up my car I was told that the dolly was another 45 minutes away and that it was the only one in the entire Spokane area. Hard to believe in a city of 250,000

The entire truck was full of sawdust when I picked it up. It took 35-45 minutes to get the truck which cut into my rental time. Cleaning the truck out and check out process at this location cost me an hour of moving time. Would NOT recommend.

I reserved 2 trucks. Picked up the first one and they told us to drop it off at the wrong location. So we were not only charged for an extra day we were charged a $50 wrong location fee. Went in 2 days later to pick up the second truck and they said they couldn't let me have it because another customer had a complaint and so uhaul was making them hold the truck for them. I told them that they now had 2 customers that were upset! ( We were told at this location to drop off the keys in the drop box and they'd check it in in the morning... nothing was mentioned about them not being a drop off location until today when they called to tell us they were going to charge us.) I called customer service today and the said there was nothing they could do because we didn't respond to a text or email they sent to arrange a pickup location. BUT I WAS NEVER TOLD MY RESERVATION WASN'T GUARANTEED! THIS IS A COMPLETE WASTE OF MY TIME AND HAD PUT MY MOVE AND JOB OFF FOR ANOTHER WEEK DUE TO AN INDECENT JOB OF COMMUNICATION. I WASN'T OFFERED A DISCOUNT OR GUARANTEED RESERVATION EVEN AFTER ANOTHER UHAUL EMPLOYEE TOLD ME I WOULD BE OFFERED $50 OFF AND A GUARANTEED RESERVATION OF THE TRUCK WE NEEDED, NOR DID THEY MAKE ME A NEW RESERVATION! I'M SO FRUSTRATED WITH YOUR COMPANIES WHILE PROCESS! I GOT HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE ALL THE WAY AROUND AND NOT ONE PERSON ATTEMPTED TO CORRECT THIS OR MAKE THESE ERRORS UP TO ME. I REALLY FEEL LIKE I SHOULD GET A TRUCK AT NO COST AT THIS POINT AS YOU'VE JUST COST ME OVER $1000 MINIMALLY AND I STILL DON'T HAVE A TRUCK RESERVED. I WOULD LOVE TO SPEAK TO SOMEONE WILLING TO CORRECT THIS AND HOPE THAT THERE IS CORRECTIVE ACTON MADE TO PROVIDE ADDITIONAL TRAINING TO PICK-UP LOCATIONS. JODI PORTEOUS 1(509)322-5949

I put these ratings because we left 4 of our straps inside the truck and after 10 minutes looking at the vehicle (the 6 moving blankets were also in the back) the employee came in and said there would be no additional charge. No mention of seeing our straps. I will gladly change this review if they happened to not see them in the truck with the 6 blankets or forgot to mention it and they are returned.
