This was the absolute worst experience I’ve ever had with U-haul. I have rented several times in the past and never had a problem like I experienced this time. Scan and go was a total joke. The app wouldn’t work and I spent over two hours just checking in and over an hour checking back in my equipment to leave . Customer service was also very long and unexceptable I WILL NEVER USE THIS LOCATION OR SCAN AND GO AGAIN!!! Very dissatisfied. If there was a minus on the rating this would be it.

KENNETH WILLIAMSThe place looked like an abandoned junk car lot, the truck I was renting was only U-Haul on the lot, it took 4 hours talking to rude lady from the J&J Auto on cell phone who had no time to talk as she was at airport on vacation, yet the torn piece of paper on door said at lunch and her cell #. I also spoke to three or four different U-Haul reps who couldn’t help me with the app or to get code for lock box. Spent over 20 minutes on hold each time we called before speaking to someone. Finally the last rep was so helpful and got us thru it by stating we needed to be going thru Safari on IPhone and not Chrome. Which I had no idea. We finally get back to load truck at my house only to open back of truck finding used and new packaged furniture blankets and a dolly, which I did not order. Then as a helper began to pick the items up to put on top area, used needles and a spoon were discovered. We disposed because children were helping with the truck and didn’t want them to step on needles. I have used U-Haul many times thru the last 30 years and I must say this was the first bad experience, not bad horrible.

Dylan BlairNo one there. Had to wait. Did transaction by phone. We someone did get there was given 6 blankets not 12 and was given keys. Had to figure out truck myself. It was raining very heavily. Found out truck was leaking water inside and could not load truck until next day when rain was over. Had to use wet vac to get water out. Lost a full day. Would have tried to trade truck but all uhaul places near us was closed.

Jamaine WrightWell let's get started. I dropped the tow dolly off in Spartanburg like I told the lady where I picked it up that is where I was taking it to. I dropped it of on Sunday the 3rd of march as I was supposed to do. I get an email from the U-Haul dealer in Spartanburg SC saying I was being charged an extra day. So I called them and they told me that I would be reimbursed and would get an email confirming this. I got an email that only said I had a zero balance and not a word of the reimbursement. Well I promise you I will be calling again in morni g and somebody is gonna hear about this and it probably won't be a nice conversation. I work hard for my money and have somebody take it like that just not gonna happen. Not tonight or any other time. Now that is how I feel about U-Haul.
DONALD COOKWas charged for exceeding mileage allotment when in fact, I was well below mileage allotment as stated in my written agreement. It appears someone changed the mileage allotment in order to charge extra. This facility was not in a good location and was filled with potholes. Check in person said her phone was not working and she would check the vehicle later and email me a receipt. When receipt was received the mileage allotment had been changed and I was charged for going over when in fact I was well under the allotted mileage.
Mark EverestSmoke alarm was chirping because there was no battery. Furniture was piled and filled the entire room. It was dirty. I called at least 1 hour ahead of time to notify them I would be 15 minutes late Due to a traffic accident, and no one answered and they had no voicemail set up. I got a call while I was on the way to drop it off and the girl gave me attitude, but agreed to wait until 15 minutes after scheduled drop off time. When we got there 15 minutes right on the dot, she had already left and locked the door with no one there to cover the business. We waited in the car in the parking lot for 45 minutes before she drove up and offered no apologies for leaving earlier than the agreed upon time. She was not rude in person, but the experience of picking up a Uhaul trailer was radically different to my past experience.

Tera KirkseyOil light was on the whole time...was afraid the truck was going to burn up.The milage wasn't checked..or the fuel level.Was told the truck was had a full tank when you pick up.The truck had 1/2 tank of gas when I got in the truck. No one was there when I returned the truck to check milage fuel etc.I picked up a piece of furniture local.. pretty sure I didn't travel 25 miles. I rented the truck at 10am & returnedbit around 12
ladonna greenI dropped off the vehicle after the location office was closed. However, the location is not well lit and is not is a very safe part of town. Also the location of the key drop box is not obvious to customers. The location is convenient but I think that some lighting and signage would do the place wonders.

LAVERNE ROSSI had to repair the drivers side fender on the car transport trailer. The fender tilts out to allow the vehicle door to open. Nothing was holding the rear of the fender on. The main bolt at the pivot point of the trailer was missing and the bungee style strap that keeps the fender from tilting was missing

Jimmy GramlingThe AC stopped working an hour after I left Alabama, I called the roadside assistance number and couldn't give them an address, since I was driving, and they couldn't tell me what exit to get off. Also I don't think that they felt no AC ,was that big of a deal. Well, it was miserable, a 6-7 hour drive, took me just under 12 hours, I had to keep stopping so, my dog and I could cool off outside the truck. When I was sweeping out the truck, I found a lot of leaves and sticks, none of my stuff was on the ground that got loaded, so the person who rented it before me must not have cleaned up after themselves.

Juandra PierceI was very happy with the young lady that helped me at J & J when I arrived. We were in and out quickly and she was super friendly. I was originally picking one up at a different location but they did not have a 20 or 26 ft truck. He made 1 phone call and said I would have to go somewhere else at 10:30 (this was 9). I called the 800 number and she found one at a different location that I could pick up immediately (they had 6 - 26 ft trucks on the lot). I would assume you are all on the same system and everyone can see all U-Haul locations. If not, you need to be, if so, perhaps the young man at the Kyle Avenue location needs to be retrained on how to use it.

Gladysia ScottMy complaint with location was very unprofessional.I waited for an hour to receive keys to truck due to pick-up person lost at local restaurant.Never received a receipt & was charged a $30 late fee in which I didn't know existed.Have called several times about this matter & keep getting numerous run-a-rounds.Issue is still not resolved...very unsatisfied with this service.

Bobby PooleWhen I return the vehicle they charged my credit card prior to my giving them authorization. The office had a strong smell of marijuana. This location did not seem professional to represent the U-Haul Brand at all.
Clarence ThomasI had no problems with the location but just getting a truck was a nightmare. I was original supposed to get an 11 foot truck and because of uhaul's poor contingency for the Thanksgiving holiday I recieved a 26 foot truck which cost a lot more in gas. I was very dissatisfied with uhaul and I doubt I will ever give this company my business again.
