It took us two hours to get our truck picked up because they We’re trying to tell me I needed to pay an additional charge when I had already paid for the truck over the phone hours prior to pick up. Not to mention when I called to pay for the truck and the dolly they informed me they did not have a dolly for me when I was supposed to be picking up a couple hours later. So we finally found a location that had one but that required me to go farther than I needed to just to pick up a dolly and then to a different location to pick up the truck. If I would have known this would be the issue I would have picked up both from the same location. So I did not pick up the truck from the location I requested I had to go out of town to get it and then even farther to get the dolly. Then add the 2hour frustration of getting the truck. I was very unhappy and very frustrated with the whole process to be honest. It was not easy like I was told it would be. If I knew it was going to be this frustrating and this difficult I would have figured something else out or gone to a different location. If I’m being very honest I’d like to be compensated for the inconvenience.

Switched to mobile pickup. Then cell service sucks. Try calling for help and I get somewhat of an assistance before being hung up on and then having to figure it out from there. Apparently I work for Uhaul now as I'm the one doing ALL the leg work and still getting charged over $75 bucks. I should have gotten their employees discount. But this is all my fault for not having a pickup of my own. Lesson learned

I can't think of anything that you need to change. The process was surprisingly easy and painless. It was incredibly convenient. I was very happy! Will rent from U-Haul again!!!

Truck smelled like smoke very very bad. Had to leave window open to drive in it The steering on the truck is awful. Very loose and needs to be repaired before there is an accident!

It took 3hours from arriving at my scheduled pickup time to finally get on my way to start moving. I schedule a dolly to be with the truck and no dolly was supplied. Uhaul then sent me on a wild goose chase to other locations to get one. No dolly was supplied.

Trailer had not been swept out by previous users. Didn't take me much time to clean out. The folks at Jake's are courteous and efficient. We have used them before and will again.

Was supposed to get a call in regards to the mileage before charging me.....that didn't happen. Van smelled like a zoo. Then noticed some hey in the back. Someone used it to move animal manure.

They did not check the truck in while I was there. I didn’t receive conformation that rental had been closed. I called on Thursday and asked if it had been processed and was told not yet. They need to process the rental while I’m there.

The only thing that I thought was not so great was that I was charged 3 times for the initial rental and had to call uhaul and wait on hold for about 40 minutes before the problem was resolved.

Probably not their fault according to them, wipers broke and it rained Sunday and it kept telling g me oil change immediately. Truck ran great for 137,000 miles . Obviously the pictures on site for inspection are not correct as this truck has a lot of mi or damage and the pic on inspection is a new truck. Corporate has been good to me, but the facility has over charged me just under $42 and has not refunded me the difference.

It appears franchise owners simply enjoy the extra income ?? I did not see any efforts to ensure equipment was in good shape for next customer but that inspection effort could have occurred later. The 12' foot trailer was very new but impossible me alone to lift off the hitch and the tongue has NO jacking device, neither did the dealer provide one at the parking location along with a "block" to prop up the tongue. Add a tongue jack, what if a disconnect was required along the highway ??? Customers need ability to stow trailer by themselves.

The company that held the Uhaul equipment was AMAZING. However, UHAUL, the company, completely dropped the ball. I made a reservation to pick up my equipment from the Uhaul in Plainfield, IN. I left work at 3:30 to get to the Uhaul company by 4 as I had a 4:15 appointment near that facility. When I arrived, I was told that UHAUL had changed my reservation to Mooresville, IN. I was NEVER told about this, and it added an extra hour drive that day, I missed my appointment, and then had to return the equipment there when I was done which was AGAIN, another extra hour commute. I have nothing but great things to say about BOTH leasing places as they went above and beyond to be professional and courteous, but I am COMPLETELY dissatisfied with UHAUL the company as THEY were the ones who changed my reservation location without letting me know.

This is by no means on Jake's Body Shop. I know Uhaul goes there to manage pickups and stuff, and Uhaul left me locked outside a closed office, with no passcode to retrieve my keys, and turns out our key was never put in the box by Uhaul at all, so even if I did have the pass code, I'd be up the creek without a paddle. Luckily, someone was around back on the garage, otherwise id have had no way to get truck. Again, this is not on Jake's Auto. Also the back of the truck was sticky and disgusting inside.

I would rate Uhaul and their website a 0, and the location a 4 out of 5 because their service rep was very friendly, helpful, and went above what would be expected to make my rental smooth. Had a utility cart been included like I requested, it would be a 5/5. The truck itself was great. My issues are with Uhaul and the horrible website and reservation system. I made a reservation online for a 15 foot truck with utility and appliance cart on Monday 8/1. I selected a nearby location just a few miles from home. Email sent said to expect a call to confirm the reservation. After 48 hours no call came, so *I* called the location. This location did NOT have 15 foot trucks (available or at all? Not sure)! So after reserving online and getting confirmation, the location didn't have what I reserved and didn't call me?! Wow. The man said the website should've sent me to another location. It didn't. At this point I go online to uhaul.com and change my reservation to a different location, further away but not too bad. I call the next morning (Thursday), the man at Hines Storage in Plainfield IN was very helpful, confirmed he had my reservation in the system for Saturday morning 10am, they would be open, and had both utility and appliance carts as per my request, and a 15 foot truck. I was all set. Nope. Friday at 4pm (16 hours before I'm set to pickup) I receive a call from Jake's Body Shop in Mooresville. They inform me that THEY have my reservation. What? Why? The website automatically sent it to them. After getting digital and verbal confirmation of my reservation with Hines in Planfield, the system sends it further away more than a day later? This makes absolute zero sense. So essentially, uhaul forced me to drive an additional 20 miles to get and return the truck, costing me time and money. On top of that, the truck did NOT come with a utility OR appliance cart! I had to rent these separate elsewhere, costing me more time and money. Additionally, not only was it further away, lacking required items, but the location was also NOT open at my requested time, forcing me to check in online, another waste of time. I'll never use uhaul ever again, this experience was pure insanity and I'd rather walk my possessions across the country than use their service. I expect some form of reimbursement for additional miles driven ($20), lack of carts (that I paid for), and my loss of time and sanity. Thanks for making this as difficult as possible for no logical reason.

Completely unsatisfied with my experience.. Way to overpriced. 200 dollars for 24 hours is insane. Picking up the Uhaul with almost an empty tank of gas.. just aggravated with my whole experiences.

While I had no issues with pick up or drop off, UHaul treated us very poorly overall. They did not have the correct truck, even though we reserved it > 1 month in advance. We reserved a 20' truck, and they could only provide a 26' truck the day of our move. Since we were moving more than nine hours away over some mountains, we did not want a 26' truck. We ended up waiting three extra days to get a 20' truck. UHaul should not take reservations for vehicles that will not be available. We will avoid using UHaul if at all possible for future moves.
