Before we rented from Jackson Appliance, we had a horrible experience with Uhaul. Our reservation was for Progress Dr. When we got there they said the truck was in Hartford (25 mins away). When we got to Hartford, the truck was dead with no help available. We were told by UHaul (over the phone) the closest truck available would be in Cederburg; another 40 minutes away. After we called around OURSELVES, we found an available truck back in West Bend. Due to all the problems UHaul caused us, our movers had to cancel (that we booked over a month ago). We still haven't seen any "credit". Will never recommend UHaul to anyone.

If you have Verizon, don't bother with the online check-in/out of a vehicle. No connection. Gotta sneak on the next door neighbors WiFi. Huge headache.

Truck got me to my destination with no issues, which was the important thing. However, cab was filthy…food and drink stains, food crumbs and it smelled like someone lived in it for awhile. This is really unacceptable, especially with Covid still out there. My wife and I spent an hour scrubbing it down with sanitizer.

Staff at the location is friendly and helpful, but the Uhaul website is unresponsive and prone to errors. Was stuck with the "after hours fee" simply because their website wouldn't respond to let me finished the return.

This was my first time renting a Uhaul and I will never rent one again. The truck was full of mud, inside and out. It did not have a phone charger port, therefore it took me longer than expected to get to my destination because my phone went dead and I couldn't use the GPS feature. This was both frustrating and scary as a female. I had no idea where I was. The side mirrors made it VERY difficult to see cars next to me. The blind spots with this truck were unbelievable. Lastly, the cost of rental was very misleading. It's advertised as $29.99 for a 15' truck. There is no mention of mileage, gas, extra fees, etc. I was simply transporting old furniture to the dump. THEN, to top it off, this location would not allow my cell phone to connect to the internet in order to check the truck back in for the return. It said on my invoice that I would be charged $20 if they had to do it for me the next day. I called the number on my invoice and explained the situation. They said they took care of it. However, low and behold, there was a $20 charge on my final bill for not returning it properly. In addition to that, I was charged an additional $10 for usage of the Dolly and furniture pads, which I NEVER used!!! AND I was also charged a fee of $5.28 for a “sales item”. It said “details below”, yet there were no details below. I called the location where I rented the truck from and asked about all of these charges. The woman said she would contact Uhaul and see what she could do. She had no explanation for the “sales item”. I have no idea how much my final bill will be at this point in time. For something that originally should have been more like $100 , it is quickly turning into almost $300 when all is said and done. I'm very frustrated and simply don't have the money to pay for this misleading advertising. If I had known the end cost was this high, I would've contacted 1-800- gotjunk where they would have taken the stuff I was transporting AND came to my house instead of me having this terrible experience.

As I checked in to rent this truck he explained the after hours return, and if it wasn't done I would be charged $20.00. I thought right away this is probably very hard and doesn't work so everybody gets charged the extra $20. When I returned the truck at 6:30 pm I sat in the parking lot for 20 minutes trying to do the online return. I kept getting errors saying it could not verify my location. I think this is wrong and I should be refunded my $20. I'm very dissatisfied and think this is a shady practice for a big business. no masks, no fuel in trucks, got charged for low fuel even after putting fuel in and only driving 37 miles, truck only had 3/8 tank of fuel when i rented it, fuel gauges don,t read proper when its that low, should have been at least 1/2 when rented out.elderly people like me are not good with fancy phones or computers might not even own them, making people check out the damage on trucks and checking them back in or get charged on line is very stupid

The location we rented a unit from called the day before our move and said they wouldn't have a unit available but transferred our reservation to this location but they only had a larger truck, to offset the cost we would be issued a check. This place charged us 3 times what we would have paid and made us pay upfront and the took our reservation from 2 days down to 1 day. The guy was a real jerk.

This isn't the locations fault probably. More about U-Haul scheduling and contingencies. My truck was not turned in which left me truckless on the day I needed to move. You sent me to Kenosha to pick up a truck but left no keys so I had to drive an hour each way for nothing. The next morning I was able to secure a truck and move but it was fricken stressful and way harded because of U-Haul's inability to deliver.

We as customers go through this terrible and tedious process with the truck return yet you as employees do not even check the truck yourself. Mine had a lighter, cigarettes, paint brushes and an empty Gatorade container in the driving area. Took pics asap when I first got in the car and left them there. Not touching that crap. With covid you would think the cab area would be at least checked and wiped down. Obviously not otherwise those items wouldn't of been there.
