So this rating is poor, but not because of this location at Jacks Mowers, which I would have rated a 4 out of 5 if this rental debacle didn't start at another location. I had originally rented from the Uhaul location on 2nd Ave in Phoenixville, PA, where I lived, but they switched it over to Jacks location, and nobody ever informed me that the reservation moved to a location 15mins away from me, which caused an unexpected 45min delay and me having to pay 3 movers for 45mins of time that they couldn't even work. So thanks for costing me an extra $125 in moving fees, just because you were too bad of a business operation to call the customer at all and inform them (me) that you had complete changed my original reservation.

Eva was very accommodating!!! I had schedules uled a truck 2 weeks in advance and actually called to check if all good. Said yes. Yet when I called the location day before, the person said no reservation. Total BS!! Scrambled and called Eva and made it work! Can't thank her enough!!!

I returned the uhaul within a hour of renting as when the truck went over 40 mph it would begin to jerk repeatedly. I returned to the facility and the lady there said she would contact me with an update after she inspected the truck. I never heard back. I expected not to be charged as the truck wasn't safe to drive and I stated I didn't feel safe, reason for the quick return.

Eva was terrible!! - where to start...location owner claims they have nothing to do with the process. No help at all. Did nothing to try to trouble shoot the multiple problems. Had very poor communications and just kept telling us to call uhaul. No call From anyone after reservation was made with instructions before day of pick up -or even know how to Self pick up the truck. Had to wait forever for the 800 number to pick up -put on hold for a very long time. Finally someone in AZ. was able to help with self pick up instructions. Was unable to get the trunk on time -got it almost three hours late. Eva kept saying it not her fault. Guess you have to be a mind reader. Employee doesn't know the process or cares to even try to help. Will NEVER recommend or use that location again. Was a nightmare from the minute the process was started. Ugh!

The U-Haul site was extremely buggy with checking in and checking out. It took almost two hours to resolve the issue. The lady at Jack's Mower was helpful, but the U-Haul site was horrible.

No one was there when I went to pick up my truck. My scheduled pickup time was 9:30am and I had to wait until 10:15 to get my truck. I ubered to the location which was in the rural suburbs and was left stranded outside in the 90 degree heat. I will never use Uhaul again for this reason.

Our pickup was scheduled for 10:00 am when Jack's is scheduled to open. Jack never showed up until 11:00. Many calls to uhaul to try to resolve. Terrible experience. Further, I made the reservation on Wednesday night. When I checked on the reservation Friday night, it had been cancelled. No call to me, no reason given, just cancelled. Called customer service and they uncancelled. I had requested a different pickup location but was told I had to pick up at Jack's. That did not work out so good. Overall, a pretty poor experience with uhaul.

My overall experience was bad. The location was fine. But the online / app pickup was terrible! It would not work. I had to call the helpline and they were not able to fix the problem. Luckily the owner showed up, opened the place and got me registered.and then days after I returned the truck I got notices & calls stating I had not returned it. Very frustrating experience overall.

The woman running it was very friendly. However they did not know anything about my reservation and because of this I could not pick up the truck at 10am like I originally reserved it for. I did not leave the lot with the truck until 120, 30 minutes of which was my own fault. However it completely threw off my moving plans and those helping me move, when we originally planned to start moving at 10 am, to be told that they knew nothing about my reservation and not even be able to meet someone there to get the rental until 1230. Then the truck was only on 3/4 a tank when I picked up, which thank God i took pictures of it, because I had to sign a paper that said it was on full and did not realize until i got into the truck after i signed said paper that it was nowhere near full. And even though I called the 1800 number, and told them this, still got charged for the gas that was never even in the truck. Thankfully after another call to the 1800 number and showing them the pictures I got a refund for that charge but still. The whole experience was painful.

I had no problem with the people there. They seemed nice enough to me, and treated me with respect. So it could be assumed that "reviews," overall, are pretty useless, considering how subjective and one-sided that they most often are. As a general rule, if you're nice and polite to people, they are, most often, nice and polite to you. Go figure? A bad experience then could be a sign of a bad character--no matter how vociferous and exacting of a negative review the customer gives. But they're always right...right?

I set this up over the computer to pick up at this location and return in philadelphia. When we got there which took an hour to drive too we were told they did not have a truck available. I had confirmation code it finally worked out after an hour with woman who was rude and had to drive it back from Philadelphia. Very disappointed.

The drop-off information on the internet and given to me at my pick-up location stated that Jack's Mower Repair and Service were to be open until either 5 or 6 pm that day. I dropped the truck off at a few minutes after 2pm, the door was locked with a note giving a number to call for repair or service, I called the number and the call was never answered.

Easy! Truck was there and through the mobile app was able to complete and drive away without waiting in a line or waiting for the store front to open. Truck was great - clean and new 26 foot that we used for a home move.

I will like a full refund. They took $230 from me in cash. Said they gave me back $80. I only drove 21 miles and on the receipt they put I drove 435 miles and that I owe them $344. I made a claim and nothing has been done and now they charged my debit card without my permission. I would like a full refund.

Originally scheduled to pick up elsewhere but truck was not available. This spot in Parker Ford was the closest which was 35+min further away than originally scheduled. Location was supposed to be open at 9 but it wasn't, no sign, no person to help. Called uhaul who sent out dispatch, gentleman was very nice but the whole debacle put us behind schedule and over budget. Embarrassed because we had to make family/friends who were over to help wait for an hour+ while we dealt with it all.

My uhaul was moved to another location without my knowledge or authorization . This is poor customer service. Although the truck was reserved early in the week the agent at new site told me that doesnt mean anything, that its 1st come/1st serve. If this is the case...not sure of the point of the reservation. 3 ppl reserved the truck I wanted so I am glad and lucky I made it there 1st. Service at both sites were very good and I appreciated both telling me how uhaul really conducts business.

Yes vehicle was clean but tank was not full. I was told to be sure to fill it. I only drive the vehicle 17 miles yet ended up putting 5.5 gallons of gas in it. I also was charged for 20 miles not the 17 I drove it.

The woman at the counter was ignorant to us from the moment we walked in. I called customer service while I was in this place and the customer service rep heard her yelling and being extremely rude to us. She was also ignorant to the customer service rep. She looked right at us and said, "I don't think I even want to do this reservation anymore." This was all b/c she couldn't locate our reservation b/c she was putting in the wrong name. I tried to tell her, but that is why she bit my head off. I WILL NEVER GO HERE AGAIN!!!!

On April 25, 2015 I had the misfortune of renting a U-Haul trailer from Jacks Mower Repair Sales & Svc, 2602 Schuylkill Rd, Parker Ford, PA 19457 on contract 88822561. This location is staffed by angry, rude people who are quite forthcoming with the fact that they hate your customers. I needed a trailer for Sunday April 26 to clean out the apartment of my recently deceased father. I had rented from U-Haul many years ago and was unhappy with the old, run down equipment that I had rented and I have subsequently used Ryder. I decided to give U-Haul another chance with this rental and I paid for that decision with the abusive treatment that I received at this rental location. The angry woman behind the counter was not happy that I wanted to be honest about my pick up and drop off times and purchase insurance coverage. The rental location was closed on Sunday so I wanted to pick up the trailer on Saturday afternoon, schedule the return for Sunday evening and know that I had insurance coverage for the entire period. The angry lady pointed out several times that this would be a two day rental and stared at me with this dumbfounded look. I told her that I didn't care, I wanted to rental period to be long enough so that I was covered for any contingency. I wanted to make sure that I was covered by insurance for the full rental period and I did not want to be rushed to return the equipment. I went out to get my plate number from the towing vehicle and when I came back in the angry woman was saying (with her back turned to me) “he is the stupidest man I have ever met.” Let me tell you that I HIGHLY doubt that. Her assistant, co-worker, husband, son, cousin (or some combination of the above, who can tell) who I will refer to as the angry greasy man says to her “here he is right now” so there is no doubt to whom the angry lady was referring. In whatever world these people live in, honesty is considered stupidity. I go outside with angry greasy man to hook up the trailer, where I have to listen to a profanity laced tirade about other U-Haul renters. “I hate these fuckers that borrow my shit and fuck it up” he says, because some little plastic piece was turned around on the end of a chain. Seemed like an easy fix to me to just turn it around, but it made him angry. He then informed me exactly where he wanted the trailer returned in a hostile tone that was perhaps just short of threatening. U-Haul should be ashamed to be associated with these angry, rude people. Know that I have a long brand memory for bad experiences.

I had made a reservation on line was to pick up the truck at my local area when I received notification of where to pick up the truck it was different from the original location, then received a call to let me know that I have a reservation for picking up a truck, but it was a different location that was even further from the location I had requested, so had to spend more money on mileage and gas for the rental just to use it. Then the actual rental place was not friendly, there was a older woman who didn't know how to review my rental, there was no walk around the truck to check for damage nor was there a form to put damage that was on the truck before I rented it. If u-haul reads this I hope for some financial reimbursement for such a horrible experience, if not then this will be the last time I use u-haul, and I will not recommend them to anyone also inform those I know about this experience.

I left the truck in the parking lot, and dropped of the keys. The used furniture pads were in the back of the truck. I was very surprised to receive an email indicating there was a $25 "Cleaning" fee. Except for the unfolded blankets, the truck was perfectly clean.

1) Clerk didn't have record of my reservation that the Go-UHAUL customer service desk had placed (just 20 minutes prior to my arrival) because they had spelled my last name wrong. The clerk didn't even know I was coming. 2) Clerk was terribly s-l-o-w; it took at least 20-25 minutes for her to do what she needed to do to get me on the road. She did not communicate with me during this time, so I had no idea what was going on and what the holdup was. 3) At NO time did she inform me about the required SafeMove insurance. Likewise, she did not ask me anything (like if I needed any extra moving supplies, dollies, etc.) other than if this was a one-way or a return-to-same-location rental, and the purpose for the rental (furniture relocation). 4) This was the worst part: No one oriented me with the truck, i.e., showed me how to lock the rolling door; provided suggestions for the best way to load the truck; told me why there was an amber truck icon constantly lit on the dashboard. The only thing she told me was that the truck needed to be returned with a full tank of gas. No one even showed me where the truck was parked; I had to hunt for the truck's [small] number and match it to the keys I was given. 5) Check-in wasn't much better. The clerk was already waiting on another customer (who was in the process of renting), and she was no more communicative with him than she had been with me. It took almost as long to check in as it did to check out. I did not choose this rental location. It just happened to be the only one in my general area that had a 10' truck to be rented at the time that I needed when I needed to rent one. If I had a choice, I would not go back to this place.

Truck mileage was not checked at pick up and I ended up paying for 15 miles more than I actually used. The $28.00 safe rent was not explained or noted to me. Next time I will be more careful at pick up.
