The location made me wait nearly 30 min to let me check out my truck and that was after I arrived 10 min early. Then I wasted nearly 15 min taking pictures of everything for the check in. I gave my info, if there's a problem, bill me. Vehicle was fine, and the price was fair but I was not thrilled with me needing to be on time and the auto body shop made me wait on them.

First uhaul stop I attempted to return the truck to said I couldn’t return it there because I chose a different place to return the truck when I rented it. I thought this was optional. I also picked up the truck with 1/2 tank and returned it with 7/8 tank of fuel. Would be nice to get some sort of reimbursement for that. It sure costs extra if it is returned with less fuel. Anyway, with the extra milage added because I couldn't return the truck at a closer location as well as the extra fuel I feel like it would have been nice to at least have had the $5.50 extra milage fee waved. No big deal just $5.50 but it woulda been a nice gesture.

I picked up the truck on Friday , it was as a mess back was dirty . I ordered a dolly, never recieved one . Got everything moved, went to return the truck got charged for a dolly I didn’t have and I made it clear I didn’t have it. Made it clear I picked up the truck on a quarter of a tank I returned with a quarter of a tank. Was charged 16.70 for 1/16 of fuel. So I was charged 30 for a dolly I didn’t have, cleaning of a truck that wasn’t clean when I got it. And almost 20 dollars for a 1/16 th of fuel that wasn’t in it when I got it. Overall an extra 100 dollars with taxes and mileage I did not use. Very irritating, I’ve emailed uhaul, the guy at woods tire in Sherman was very not knowledgeable, inconsistent, and seemed very ignorant.

You could tell the guy running the place to listen.. I told him I needed the reservation to be changed to drop off Sunday, he went ahead and made it a 24 hour rental. Very embarrassing being in high level meetings as a new manager at a new company and your phone starts ringing constantly about returning a uhaul you were supposed to have for 2 more days.

When making my reservation on the website I arranged to return the truck to a location near my final destination but when I got to the pick up location, I was informed that it was a local truck and absolutely had to be returned to that exact location. This added to my mileage and stress because I wasn’t planning on returning to Sherman after moving to Dallas. The person checking me out also didn’t verify my identity. No one asked for ID. On my paperwork there was no mention of the lock box code for me to return the key and I had to put it in a discrete place around the building and call the store to let them know where I hid it on the property. The direct phone line getting a busy signal during store hours when there were employees there and it was hard to contact anyone. The website for the key drop box return couldn’t find my reservation even when prompted with the number. This was an awful experience and I’m extremely disappointed. My original reservation was for the Dallas camp wisdom store but the system failed to update my reservation and I initially went to the wrong store for my reservation pickup. Will not be working with uhaul dealers anytime soon.

Key was not where the online checkin said it would be. I had to call the 24/7 country-wide UHaul number (and was on hold for almost 15 minutes). Finally by doing that I was instructed how to find the key. (According to original instructions, key was in back of truck. Instead, the key was in a lockbox, and only by telephoning did I learn that and learn the code.)

The app didn't give me a combination to get into the drop box that was locked to drop key off. I had to take key with me and I forgot to drop early that morning. Then they were rude saying I was suppose to put it in mail slot in front door..well I didn't see a mail slot in door due to dark and it wasn't lit up for me to see . The app didn't say look for a mail slot. It said put in drop box. They were very rude....I may not rent from U-Haul again.inhave never had a bad experience with y'all until know. I spent over $400 in rental and gas and people were rude. And the transmission was hanging up in truck and had a hard time shifting.

I feel as I had to drive around for 30 minutes just because I was told my uhaul was at 2 other locations that are across town from each other was a bit much. I get people don’t return things as they should, but I got my uhaul & it was pretty quick & efficient.

The inside of the truck was dirty

The reserved 20 ft truck was unavailable. They then sent me to another uhaul 20 min away who said the truck they were referring to was already taken. I told them theres a 20 ft outside their office. They said that was reserved. So i said "its ok for me to lose reservation but not others? I finally had no choice but rent a 15 ft (costing me more mileage, gas, etc). When i returned truck, i did not get instructions via email/text. This took me awhile to figure out. The office was so pitch black @ 9 pm, no lighting. So I had to make another trip the following day. And guess what, all this place gave me was a 10$ discount, very insulting. The mental, emotional financial and physical damage from renting here was awful. I wish they could have told me a day prior that they did not have a 20 ft truck, & that they have not heard from renters who were supposed to rent them. Unacceptable!

I was to be abke to pick up via my phine but could not. Had to go inside amd wait for help. Had to wait in line to get keys. Truck was also blocked and had to wait for other vehicles to be moved. Took too long to get my truck!

I am very disappointed that the long haul one way truck did not have cruise control. My foot still hurts from pushing on the pedal for 18 hours. I won’t rent a truck without cruise control ever again. The truck was damaged pretty heavily all over and very dirty outside. It clearly had not been washed or repaired recently. The interior cab was dirty but acceptable. The windshield had sticky tape marks all over the inside which obstructed the view ahead. I had to clean it myself with goo gone and windex all the windows when I got home. Overall friendly and helpful staff, but U-Haul rentals are definitely the second priority side business at this location. I loved the self service pickup with the website/app. It was much faster and less stressful to take pictures and fill out the forms myself and then just go inside to ask for the keys. The staff seemed to like it too because it made everything easier for them.

Rented cargo trailer online but did not know which location it would be returned to. Told employees what city it would be returned in. They did not change the paperwork to reflect that or inform me that the cost to rent would change. The paperwork they gave me does state there can be a charge for not returning it to the original place of pick up. But again, I trusted that they had corrected that part of the order. Once turned in, the cost more than doubled. Worth noting is that if you reserve online, the quote for local and the quote for dropping off in another location are the same amount.

The website and app was awful trying to get truck picked up. It took 3 hours and 2 different phone calls. 1st call, took 45 minutes to talk to 1st person. That call was disconnected on their end. 2nd call hold time was 35 min, finally able to get the verification that was needed. You've got to make that better.
