I had included a dozen moving blankets in my order. I was informed that they aren't available at this location. I should have been informed about this when placing my order and I would have chosen another location. As a result I had to use my personal blankets during the move. I'm not happy about that.

Uhaul needs to have nicer looking locations to drop off at and people who know what to do. I am not planning on using uhaul in the future. I usually have issues with them when I use them.

I dropped off. So there was very little interaction. However, there was very little instruction and no inspection (didn't look at the truck or check for blanket returns, etc) from the clerk. So, I assume everything was in order.

Truck broke down at 2 in the afternoon and I waited 4 hours for a service tech who couldn't get it running. It had to be towed from someone's (blocking) driveway and finally was at 10:30 pm. The worst part was U-Haul and the service techs company were both asking me to confirm everything that they themselves should have been doing between the two businesses. Completing my move from storage was delayed until the next day.

This was a location that I did not choose, but was sent to, because I was a way way mover. The location I chose was close to where I moved from. The one I was told to go to was 8 miles in the opposite direction. When I got there and asked if there was a preferred location to return truck, man told me "any UHaul location". Fortunately, I received a text message just before turning it in to say truck needed to be returned to a specific location, or I would have to pay $400 for taking it to wrong return location. Plus. At pickup spot, there were no hand trucks/dolleys, and we had to stop at original location to get one.

The customer service was very disappointing! The gentleman in charge of uhaul rentals was late. Had a 9 am reservation, didn’t get it until 10am. The truck was dirty inside of the cab and the back had tree branches and dirt in it. Took me an hour to clean before moving. Would never go back there!!

I had to wait about 10 minutes to pick up the truck and I was charged for items that I didn’t order. I tried emailing the link but I got a reply that it was an invalid email address. I rented a truck and 12 pads. I was charged for the truck, 18 pads and a dolly. Thanks for your help in getting a refund for those items.

I had to wait for someone to arrive to complete the transaction and this person was confused and dud not know how to complete. I was charged for a dolly and blankets I never requested and did not use. Not a great experience.

I requested an appliance dolly which I did not get and I requested a dozen floor mat to protect my contents during travel which I did not get during this rental. The truck given was horrible - a Boeing 797 would make lesser noise than that truck please try it out if you don't trust me. The brakes doesn't work at all, they were so hard that I had to stand on them for me to stop the truck. A total horrible experience.

Replace the old truck that made awful grinding noises and had a short in the ignition. I was thankful that I was only driving a total of thirty miles. It was in terrible condition.

The moving truck we had was on it's last leg. The steering wheel was pointed like you were turning left when going straight, the brakes shook the truck when braking and made loud noises. Engine was pinging and cab got VERY HOT while engine running. Truck shook at 50 miles/hour or faster. Driver side door would not unlock with key. This truck needs to be taken out to pasture and shot!

This is just a gas station, with maybe a truck or two. The store clerks don't know much about the u-haul rentals, they have to call someone else to assist over the phone. They just happened to be the closest to me with a 20' truck, which was what I needed. Don't expect any convenience or class service.

The people at In & Out very very rude and treated me with disrespect. I called to arrange for the return of my trailer, and he told me that he didn't have space to take it back, and told me to try another location nearby. Then when I tried to clarify his instructions, he cut me off, called me "bud" and hung up on me. Never again will I rent from them.

They were super friendly and easy to work with. From a UHaul standpoint, the 6 hour window is an odd number and if you could make it 8, that would be great. Other than that, it worked out perfect for us.

Take "In and Out" from your inventory of stores offering U-Haul. They steal from you, they rent trucks without you knowing it, they rent trucks without contracts being made unless the customer INSISTS that a contract be made -- THEN they will send one.

There is no one to answer the phone at this location. Another location reached out to a "field manager" to try and get a person to call me back. I was told I had a 30 minute window to arrive to get the truck. The lady knew absolutely nothing about the truck---and I had never driven one before. I had to seek help from others. The truck bed was dirty. I was given the keys to the wrong truck. Probably worst of all was the insistence that I pay with "cash" as their credit card reader was "down". I refused as I knew I would be returning the truck after hours, and I did not want a delay in getting the $100 back. There was something very very uncomfortable about this incident. She repeatedly told me that there was an ATM outside; she said the credit card I provided would not work (although I had used that card earlier in the day); I provided another card, and she reluctantly said it was "accepted."

U-Haul location is being shut down. New store ownership had no clue as to the rental process. Proper truck wasn't there - had to take 20' instead of the 26' that I reserved, therefore had to make two trips to move instead of one, costing twice as much gas and twice as many miles charged. Truck had not been cleaned out. Of course, the store charged the max amount for truck and miles so feel unfairly charged due to circumstances. Very insensitive to any customer issue. They care only about the $$. Have put in for field manager to call to discuss but no one has contacted yet. : (

I asked to pick up the truck at a different location (much closer to my home) and UHaul sent me 10 miles further to a gas station to get my truck. This facility had no supplies I needed so I had to go back to the original location to get my supplies. This has happened a few different times. Seems like Uhaul doesnt really care about their customers.

As what seems to be a systemic issue with Uhaul, the truck wasn’t properly checked in once I returned it. Two days after I returned the truck it was FINALLY shown as returned. Uhaul charged me for another day and half because of an employees failure to proper do his job.

Furniture pads were left in the truck when we picked it up. Not a big deal though. The worst part was how I scheduled my U-Haul and they didn’t have my truck for me at the location, therefore we had to drive to another location. This is the 3rd time I’ve had issues with U-Haul as far as trying to pickup a truck or dolly and the equipment wasn’t available. As always U-Haul customer service offered some extra miles (since we had to go out of the way) and a discount on the rental, but honestly I’d rather not deal with the headache of needing to call customer service about equipment that is unavailable when they said it would be. I’ve used other rental truck places in the past and I figured I’d give U-Haul another chance but once again they have caused more of a hassle than a convenience.

Uhaul system was down when I arrived at location. I was informed my uhaul would be entered into the system when it was back up and I would be emailed the confirmation. The confirmation I received stated I was being charged an extra day even though I had the truck and dolly back in time, and I was charged a 20$ fee for after hours servicing which shouldn’t have applied. Currently out of almost 80$ which should not have been the case.

I reserved a rental closer to my home and the day of the rental I was told I needed to go to a different location for pickup. I had to pay extra for mileage and most likely would not have if I could have rented from the closer place.

First, this is not the location I reserved on uhaul.com and Uhaul never notified me of the change. I found out when I called the original place. That's not In & Out's fault though. This location is a gas station and it took a bit to check out while the clerk waited on the other customers while working on my paperwork. The clerk was pleasant enough to work with. Neither the cab or the truck bed had been cleaned out and the mileage indicated on the check out form was incorrect. This location also did not have any moving blankets, which I had also reserved in advance on Uhaul.com

Note that this review has nothing to do with the pickup or dropoff location. It addresses the ability of UHaul to deliver service......I made a reservation to have a tow Dolly available at a set location. The reservation was made on June 19th for July 3rd pickup. When I checked online, there was a note indicating that the Tow Dolly would not be available at that location. All of the other UHaul facilities in the area had the same message. WHen checking with the CHAT service, the response was....."Jeffery your preferred location is not guaranteed. It is too soon to determine pick up location. No we do not take equipment to the preferred location. You will be contacted to let you know where you are going to pickup." Can't UHaul logistics plan to fulfill an order at a predetermined location, rather than have their customer go to an undetermined location?

The attendant was too busy talking to her colleague to notice that she had a vehicle available to rent. When she told me there was only one vehicle which was already reserved I had to point out the other one on the other side of the store. She never apologized for the mistake or provided a better customer experience. At check out, she stated the internet was slow so she would have to email a receipt instead of print one out. I was confused by this statement because if the internet is slow as she claimed, how would she be able to send an email? It was the second location I had been to specifically because of poor customer service. Uhaul really needs to monitor their franchisees. They are failing the company. And by the way, I've rented a uhaul 4 times this month alone, so I'm not a casual customer.

Only customer in the store ! After twenty five minutes,I was informed my wife is coming to help. She couldn't help, now I'm calling my son. The son called Uhaul and spoke with a manager, at this time I've been here 45 minutes. I explained the amount of traffic I'm facing, due to the time it's taking to rent this trailer. He replied, not my fault ! It's Uhaul changing everything. Uhaul representatives should not be like this. I had made a reservation.

I was looking for a 10 foot box truck. Your website led me to the location off Canton highway that I used. I reserved it online, and when I arrived the guy said he didnt have one. He offered me a 20 foot truck for the price of the 10 footer. When I brought it back an hour or so later, he tried to charge me full price. I reminded him of what he said, and then he only gave me $10 off. Not sure why the site can't be accurate, along with the individuals renting the vehicles. Not satisfied .

There was no one there who knew how to run the rentals. So they took my credit card and license I formation on a piece of paper. The truck was on a quarter tank of gas and the back had all kinds of debris in it. The person at the store was not trained and did not even look at the mileage before or after I returned. Thankfully I had the frame of mind to take pictures. I am concerned about what charges show up in my credit card. This place was the worst I have ever seen if I didn’t have to move I would have gone elsewhere.

Checked in advance at location where I rented 2 was moved to a different and far less convenient location 3 asked to be able to pickup at my original location but did not happen 4 got to new location and they had none of my checkin info- had to start over waste more time 5 location did not speak good English 6 when trying to back up to trailer, owner of location or one of his family backed his truck into my path and his response was basically ‘ go around ‘ 7 location had incorrect return time 8 when returning today, virtually nowhere to park at this gas station with a used car lot all on an roadside parcel of land maybe 20 yards deep by maybe 40-50 yards wide. AND Parking lot slopes downward and no chocking blocks - trailer almost rolled off in woods when I disconnected — no one there to help me. VERY VERY POOR EXPERIENCE I EXPECT UHAUL TO COMPENSATE ME FOR THIS
