Maintain a backup system to accommodate those of us who are old fashioned and don't use a cell phone capable of sending pictures and receiving text messages. In this case, I had to rely on a companion whose phone is more modern than mine. Other than this difficulty, our overall experience with the Hungry Whale (Jody, or Jodie) was excellent.

Nothing really, only there's no drop off area so I had to back up the trailer again, but I was able to do it

I did the express check-in online and it still took an hour for the agent to figure out how to check me in. She kept saying she had inly done it a few times and it always took this long. I had to provide all my credit card and license info again and ended up having to speak to someone at a remote office myself when the in-store agent called since they couldn't seem to communicate effectively. The truck was also dirty and there was less gas in the tank than stated on our form.

I did an online reservation for a 06:30am pickup, but when I tried to check in, it said come back after 8:00am. If I can’t use your system at 6:30am it should not be an option. Luckily the people at the hungry whale were able to assist me in receiving the truck o reserved.

The clerk had problems entering information into the computer (touch pad) I was asked for a second phone number I advised the clerk I did not have a second phone she told me to use a friend's I told her I would not it was my contract not theirs. she phoned the company and told the person on I would not give a second phone number and I refused to give information I was more than happy to give information but I can not give a second phone number that I don't have she also made a comment that I thought that I could just come in a get a trailer I made a reservation the day before like requested and I did think I should be able to go in fill out some more information and get a trailer with no problems however that was not the case If I knew I needed two different phone numbers I would have rented a trailer else where At this point in time I am not sure if I will rent another trailer or vehicle from Uhaul again. I hope this helps

Terrible. Over priced first of all, like 500 bucks to move a few hours, we went to THREE different places to turn in the truck and finally they took it. Kept saying lots were to small. that's not my fucking problem. Then i had to pay for gas after trying to turn it in which was like 70 bucks which I burned because of them. ALSO NO WHERE TO PARK!! not sure who's ideas this was but you literally cant park a uhaul anywhere and everywhere closed early. So you're stuck babyguarding a uhaul for 8 hours trying not to get a ticket, just for them to send you away cause the trucks to big. FUCK YOU uhaul.

I walked in and was told I had to wait because they were busy. I was the only one in the store. The pad they used had a cracked screen and was difficult for them to swipe their fingers on. The program also kept freezing up on them. What should have taken a few minutes was a half an hour. Oh yeah, I owed 78 cents. They couldn't take cash. Really?

The problem is with the computer at u- hall Picking up a small covered trailer today was awful all because u-haul can't effectivley communicate by computer with their various locations. The software needs to be reviewed and invite cashiers to participate.

the manager Eric? was a real kick when we returned the truck very freindly funny and made us very happy . We will rent from thete again soon. he should get an Attaboy from Uhaul corp

I was charged an outragious anount for mileage at a rate of $1.09 cents per mile and was orginally quoted at $.89 cents per mile. The Uhaul was advertised at $19.95 a day and I was charged $29.95 for 2 days and i returned the Uhaul truck just before 1pm. The person who rented it to me said I could return it somewhere around noon, as long as it was back before 1pm, then I wouldn't be charged for another day. The whole rental ended up costing me over $500 for a rental that should have only cost me the $19.95 per day as it is advertised on the truck that I rented. And the cost per mile that uhaul charged me was so high and unreasonable that I will NEVER rent from uhaul again. I even returned the truck with a full tank of gas, which cost me another $50 and returned it cleaner than it was when I rented it. It wasnt very clean when I rented it at all. The people that you have renting out your uhaul trucks are misrepresenting the daily price for rental and mileage. I'm not very happy about this and this is the second time that I've rented from you guys at that same location and this has happened twice. I feel like uhaul ripped me off on the rental. I would not ever recommend to my family or friends the service that uhaul says they represent. I am a business woman and i find these kind of charges and misrepresentations to be unacceptable. I ended up going to Home Depot and renting from them and ,it only cost me less than $45 for a 24 hour rental. and i got a way better deal from them. You've lost another customer, and any future customers you could have had if I had been pleased with the service and ,the rental itself, and told others about it. Not a positive experience period!

My rental agreement was not completed correctly. I was told that I was to be given a discount only to find another charge on my card a week later. I would never recommend uhaul to anyone, I also will never use uhaul again. I would rather rent a truck from home depot.

The clerk did not know how to handle the return and said as much. She made little effort to make it right and after over 30 minutes of trying, she wrote down the return time on a post-it and said her boss would handle it the next day. She did not check the mileage or fuel level and we were later charged for additional fuel despite turning it in at the same level as we picked it up. It was ~$9 so it wasn’t worth the hassle of dealing with her for 30 more minutes, but it was frustrating none the less. We’ve dropped off at the hungry whale before and the male clerk was fantastic so to say the entire facility is bad is unfair. But this was a very poor experience.

The first location we were to go for pick-up had closed and left us having to find another location to pick a trailer up. We hadn't had notice of problem of time. We didn't not know what time we would be reaching out destination.

I normally don't write reviews but this is my 2nd time dealing with this location and it continues to be a poor experience. The first time they overcharged me with a $29,97 fee and told me they were independent and didn't have to do what Uhaul says. They took my money and didn't let me take a trailer. This time they added on insurance stating Uhaul REQUIRES it even though I reserved online and one of the questions is if you want to decline the insurance. Stay away from this one. I recommend you go to The Local Store in Grayland. The only good thing about this experience was the guy I dealt with was very pleasant unlike the first one.

While the service was fast and friendly they weren't very familiar with the product they were selling. For example, online I read somewhere we had at least 2 days use after renting, I called to confirm and she was rude/unprofessional and replied with a snarky response "if you want to pay for an additional day". Over the phone, every time I called it was unprofessional in my opinion. I wish for recommended there was a "maybe" option, if you need nothing but a U-Haul I MIGHT recommend it.

So far we have been billed 3 times for a total of over $116 for a 9 hour trailer rental that should have cost $29. Customer service is nonexistent.

When I showed up to pick up my equipment at the set time nothing was ready. The first lady that helped me walked around for a half hour than said she had to leave to go to her sons soccer game. Than I was passed off to another lady that hadn't done many rentals before. She had to call Uhaul to figure out how to get the rental agreement finished. Once this was done we walked out to the trucks, I had to unhook the auto transport trailer from one truck move that truck, Get into the the truck that I was renting and hook up the trailer myself because she hadn't done any of this before. After all of this I asked if I needed any paper work for the trailer. She had forgotten that as well. All I got was two little pieces of green paper(Which I found out later they didn't due the paper work right either). Once we got the truck home I had to sweep out the back back because it was so dirty. I know none of this is Uhauls fault I have used Uhaul many times without issues. But I cant explain how frustrated I was after getting there nothing was ready, getting shuffled around for an hour, than having to move other Uhaul trucks and disconnect trailers, and than hook up the trailer to the truck I was renting. I know they knew I was going to be there at a curtain time seems to me they should have the truck and trailer ready to go.

There was a problem with my billing , The Hungry fixed it right away. I do not recommend using the internet. For rentals and do not leave the rental place until you see and get the final billing that way you know whats happening, They did not check the return for a few days and that also contributed to the bill being so high. In person takes longer but you will have less errors. Plus you will have paper work in hand o review. Sorry unhappy mover at this time, But happy that it was readily and promptly resolved. Thanks for that.

First of all. I reserved a 26ft and the location was 40 miles round trip and when i got there There was not a 26ft available only a 15ft so i was extremely angry. I would say this was the worst experience of my life. Just imagine it was you and that happened to you.

The rate was different when I went to pick up the truck then what I was quoted. I had to wait until the following morning and created a logistical nightmare. The location blamed it on who ever took my reservation. Customer service blamed it on location . NOT HAPPY
