I called ahead of drop off and Bill directed me exactly how to pull in and where to park in the lot adjacent to his business. Bill was quick and thorough with the check in process . He also saved me some $ by telling me about the local taxi pricing scam . I offered him some cash and he even dropped me St. Louis/Lambert airport . The customer service of this location was just fine. My experience was horrible using the online reservation and pick up and the 800 number to call for issues, which I will never do again. What should have taken 10 minutes took over an hour long to finally be in the truck, ready to drive away. Big difference between that and walking in, which I'd done in 10 minutes a week prior, with zero issues. During my 1st visit renting a truck to move a small apartment for my son, I walked into the Uhaul and was able to drive away with a truck after about 10 minutes. All that was requested of me was my driver's license. However this visit, after using the online check in system, I was completely frustrated and ready to give my reservation away. I arrived at the location for pick up and began entering the requested information such as my Driver license, etc. Without being forewarned, I was asked for a 2nd party verification. [This was nothing more than the representative asking someone if they could call them if I did not bring the truck back]. My husband didn't have his phone with him so, I gave another number for them to call of a friend. She didn't answer. This was all taking time in my pick up reserved time window! The rep asked if I had another person to call. I gave them an additional number but my uncle missed the call because, I didn't have time to warn him and he doesn't answer "Unknown" callers. He called right back and verified but now the rep told me my reservation timed out. My husband and I drove back home to very his phone while I called the 800 number. I spoke to a very nice, apologetic woman who said she understood my frustration but couldn't bypass this process. My frustration was that I wasn't told about this beforehand. My alternatives were a passport or my lease!? Who drives around with that?? She extended my reservation as I headed back to the truck. I had to begin the check in process completely over again. This time my husband promised the rep that uhaul could call him if I didn't bring the truck back! The rep then asked me for a 3RD PERSON to call. Are you kidding me?! Finally got ahold of my friend AT WORK and she promised uhaul they could also track me down through her should I steal the truck and never return. Pretty ridiculous that neither rep told me I'd also need a 3rd person and to be ready for that before my 2nd trip to pick up the truck! All this was never asked before during my walk in experience only 1 week prior. Next time I need a truck, I know where I'm not going!Dawn M.

Stop charging people highway robbery. I was charge $84.00 and some change for 2 hours. That don't sound right at all. The place to pick up was convenient but you all prices suck. Sorry had to say thatMarachelle E.

Not sure what could be improved. Bill from Hughes called me the day before the rental and offered to pick me up from the airport. Truck and equipment was ready and clean. Great service from Bill at Hughes!!Matt C.
The self pick up process was very cumbersome; i couldn't complete it and had to go back and pick up next day with a different phone. Dirty ash tray and old cheeseburger in the uhaul. Gross.Chawna S.
It was easy to pick up the truck and verify the documents using a mobile but when we tried to turn in the truck the mobile check-in was not working. Overall it was nice to be able to go pick up the truck without having to wait in line or deal with a slow customer service rep. Thanks!!Lamar C.
Our experience with Hughes Auto Body was wonderful for our UHaul Pickup. Bill was kind enough to pick us up from the airport and saved us the cost of a cab ride over to this location... and he was amazingly pleasant from start to finish. Our flight was delayed and he was also kind enough to stay a little past closing to put our paperwork together. 100% recommend this location if you are picking up a UHaul in the St. Louis area. If the customer might be returning a vehicle to this location on a holiday (such as Memorial Day), try to advise the customer how the return process might be different than if the facility is open. Eventually I figured it out, along with a quick call to the U-Haul phone number. (The person who helped me on the phone was very helpful.)Jonathan H.

We picked up the truck and they told us it is full tank, but it is properly just 1/2 or 3/4, the gas was not enough to travel back to Rolla and we have to fill it near the destination.Wei H.

Great customer service. We flew in to St. Louis Lambert airport and were going to take a taxi over to pickup our truck. The owner called us a couple of days before we were scheduled to arrive to make sure he had the right equipment. The computer system was down (at U HAUL's end) and I had to wait 30 minutes before I could get processed. As well, there was very few boxes left for me to purchase. There were also no locks for me to purchase and minimal ropes.GERALD Z.

I picked up at Hughes Auto Body and was given the keys and told to go across the street to get it. When we dropped it off at the Dunn Rd location for inspection they found a bulge in the tire. The truck never should have been rented out in that condition. The fact that my life was placed in danger in danger was very upsetting to me. The service, patience and care given at the actual UHaul locator on Dunn Rd., was truly appreciated and if I am in need of a UHaul will use that service location. If for any reason u happen to be charged for more than for the usage of one day , that when u pay out of pocket that u r not charged twice in the office and also from your bank account. I think that it could have been avoided if handled properly.Maria G.

We was charged drop off fee that was as much as the entire rental just about.This is the location that it was supposed to goto. I was a uhaul dealer for eight years never have I seen this. I rent trucks myself alot. I intend on fighting this all the way. Im Uhauls biggest fan always telling people to use them.RALPH B.

I MADE MY RESERVATION TO PICK UP A TRUCK AT THE U-HAUL ON DUNN ROAD IN HAZELWOOD. I HAD TO PICK UP THE TRUCK IN BERKELEY WHICH IS 4 MILES OUT OF MY WAY, BECAUSE THE PEOPLE WHO HAD IT BEFORE ME RETURNED THE TRUCK TO THE WRONG PLACE. WHY HAD THAT BECOME MY PROBLEM? I ASKED THAT THE TRUCK BE BROUGHT TO THE DUNN ROAD OFFICE AND I WAS TOLD NO. I PAYED $150.57 FOR AN OVER NIGHT USE JUST BECAUSE I WANTED TO DROP IT OFF AT A NOTHER PLACE CLOSER TO WHERE I WAS MOVING. I RETURNED IT THE SAME DAY I GOT IT, PLUS I HAD TO GO OUT OF MY WAY TO GET IT. I AM VERY UPSET WITH THE DUNN ROAD U-HAUL AND THE WAY THEY ACTED LIKE IT WAS MY PROBLEM. Well the only thing is that I reserved on line thinking it would be ready and all I would have to do is pay and sign and go!! Wrong she asked me the same questions I had answered on line so it to longer than need be. If someone is going to take the time to pre-reserve it should be ready you should not have to go over what you have already done!!!!billie H.

The truck 'missed'. Temp was high when went through the mountains in Tennessee so had to stop. Took us extra time and extra gas on our trip. We advised the drop off location of the issue. Would be nice if the trucks had cruise control. The truck was clean. Some of the blankets we rented were stained and some were wet and smelled awful since they had been in a plastic bag.PATRICK P.

Not the fault of the rental location (Dick Tracy was great), 40K mile truck was horrible and had to endure a 18 hr trip in it. Vibratation was so bad that seat beats locked you in as if you were locked in an airplane cockpit with G force acceleration. Very uncomfortable ride. Have rented same size Penske truck and would not rent a UHaul again.DARLENE L.
