I experienced a problem during the pickup process that caused unneeded stress. For the alternate contact, it should've said they would be calling immediately. And it didn't let me list anyone noted as a driver, which is kind of dumb. So overall, this approval process was pretty ridiculous but the entire trip afterwards and the return process was a breeze. Our return was scheduled on a Sunday. Which was fine, we did it online. At least the dolly. THEN the website wasn't accepting our return on our 15 foot truck following RIGHT AFTER. So...we drove home, got ANOTHER cell phone, and magically that worked. However, because it was late by about 30 mins because of this...they KEPT my $60 of our $100 deposit! During normal business hours we proceeded to collect our deposit refund, which was incorrect, hoping they could fix it. The store associate said I would have to call customer service....IM BEYOND IRRITATED!Justin R.
They let me pick it up at close of business on friday so I could get started early saturday and not have to wait till they opened, so got finished by noon before the heat came out.. First time renting the van. Had plenty of room inside for what I needed to move.Robert L.
Great customer service: The staff was extremely helpful and even tried to help me find a closer storage unit. The truck they had was pretty beat up on the outside, and the cab smelled funny, but the inside of the back was clean and well maintained.James P.

The first u haul dealer I tried to use sucked . They where incompetent. Made me give all my information more than ten times confirmed I had a car reservation. I drove eight hours for them to tell me to go somewhere else. Bad information and run around. I almost didn't get one at all !Patrick D.

Just wanted to give praise to this location, especially after the fiasco I experienced at the Hanceville/Dodge City Location a little over a month ago. If I had to rent a truck or trailer again, and the only choice was Hanceville/Dodge City, I would rather leave all my belongings behind.Ivan D.

I was not sent a code to unlock the box that contained the key and spent almost 2 hrs on the phone trying to get a key. This put me behind with my moving . i feel someone at this location or uhaul itself failed I feelJaimie B.

I dropped off on Sunday. The location was closed. I was required to use the online process. The camera portion would not work (it asked me to take pic, then would not ever correctly open my camera to actually take the pic. As result, I had to stay at the location while I called customer service to figure it out. I was on hold for an agent for 20 min. (Sunday morning about 10 am). Otherwise, easy experience.paul Z.

The brakes were a bit squeaky and I ran a red light because of could not stop in time (going downhill and light turned just as I got there) there was an air freshener that gave my nose and throat a chemical burn and I coughed so much I have laryngitis, otherwise ok experience. I reserved a 15 ft truck and was given a 20ft at no extra cost, except the gas for a bigger truck that was half empty. They had a week to get me the correct size and the cost of the gas for the bigger truck was a huge deal.SUELLEN H.

Hope Janitorial services overcharged me $400 I waited 5 days to get my credit back and they still haven't done it. I've called my bank to have the charges disputed and I have left negative reviews on Google, Facebook and if I can find anywhere else I will leave other reviews. They have thrown me into a financial hardship and their response to me was we can't do anything call Uhaul. Very unprofessional.Candace B.
My only complaint is the drop off location ... I never got a location drop off I said I would drop off in Hartselle and then I never got a location I called stayed on hold 25 minutes then they gave me another number to call then they tried to give me another number and told me drop off was in cullman when I had on my contract to drop off in Hartselle .. cause me more stress on a day that was already stressful.. Get to the location and they are closed had to call once again they said I had to create a account then still would not let me check in.then today I get charged 20.00 more ... i don't understand why.. I am rating ave because I did not speak with anyone at the location because they was closedCarla M.
The location that we rented from was excellent. The truck that we rented needs a new battery and barely cranked. The box had a hand truck and blankets for rent in the back. I was very angry to find these in my way. I rented the entire box truck and expect to be able to use the entire truck without Uhaul's rental items in the way. They were in the way of our stuff and and in the way of walking in and out of the truck.JASON K.

When I rented the trailer , I told theM where I was going and where I needed to drop it off. I was sent a text that afternoon where to drop it off. That location was over 2 hours away from where I was. I had to call U- Haul to ask where to drop off and I had to look up the locations, instead of them knowing where the locations were. The salesperson was nice, but I had to do all of the work.Dennis R.

I made a reservation for a truck in Tuscaloosa. I was driving 8 hours from Cincinnati to move my daughter out of College and to drive her to Denver when U Haul called me in Nashville to let me know they did not have a truck. The first excuse was there was something wrong with the truck I was renting. The next excuse was that it was a busy weekend and there were a lot of College students moving which told me the first reason was not true and they overbooked. I was given the option to pick another truck up 37 miles away. This would have added 2 additional hours to a twenty hour drive. We needed to get to Denver in two days. So we would have been delayed two hours loading the truck. Totally in acceptable. I will use Penske over U Haul againLori W.
