The 2 ladies running this location were not trained in how to operate your systems. I filled everything out online and the process should have been simple however I was onsite with the clerk for 30 minutes trying to get this handled. From the very beginning she was lost. She kept asking for help from another lady who kept cursing and saying she hated her job and she was ready "f***ing" quite. The lady checking me in then re-did my reservation and somehow marked me as wanting the insurance however online I clearly said that I did NOT want your insurance. When she finally sent me the online contract to my email I saw it and brought it up to her. She had her coworker call "Nick" and tell him to remove it to which he had them tell me that if anything happened that it would be on me. I told them that was fine. Nick supposedly told them that he would remove it but to this day it has not been removed. I tried calling the location multiple times and they do not answer. I have been wrongfully charged for something that I did not ask for. I was then given the truck and was not given the opportunity to fill out anything concerning its condition to which I asked the Clerk about and she said that they had already filled the condition out and no need to worry about it. I went out to the truck to find that the windshield had been cracked all the way across the window, the truck was dirty in and out, there was no gas at all, and there were multiple service lights on. I documented all of this in multiple pictures as I knew that someone would try and blame me for this. Lastly, once I got down the road about 30 minutes, I attempted to turn the air conditioning on only to find out that it would only blow warm air. I had to drive 2.5 hours on a hot May Day with no air conditioning. I again tried to call the rental location and they did not pick up. This location failed me as a customer in a horrible way especially when I went to turn the truck back in and they attempted to charge me for the cracked window...thankfully I was smart enough to document all of this in images before I left when I picked it up. I will never do business with this location again.Robert P.

First, we were told the day before our move nothing was available. We were not given any assistance in finding another alternative or location. We had to persist with someone helping us. We found a location; however we again were told the day of they didn't have a truck for us. We ended up with a truck double the size we needed and double the cost. The trucks headlight was out. The truck itself had a lot of debris on the inside. Worst experience we've had with Uhaul. It was frustrating that they didn't call us until the day before our planned move. Not happy and very frustrated with the whole process. Could have been handled so much differently.MICHAEL H.

In between customers she took the time to come outside and show me where the only spot they had left for Uhaul products was located. Due to understaffing at this location, customer assistance was not available during hookup and unhooking. Customers of the mini-mart demanded service and so I had to utilize customers of the gas station to help lift the trailer tongue. The first trailer's lights didn't work with my vehicle; second one worked fine.GAIL W.

1. Don't rent trucks with an empty tank. I expect a full tank when I rent and I'll return it full. I had to put gas in as soon as I cranked it up. This location is actually a gas station so there's fuel onsite. I don't understand this. Lazy. 2. Don't ring up the beer sales from this store during my transaction. Finish with your rental while the other store customer waits. Or vice versa. Whoever was there first should have their entire transaction completed instead of doing two at a time. Rude and Inconsiderate of my time. Clerk rang up two beer sales while trying to multitask my rental. I applaud her efforts and she was very nice to me, but I'd like to be fully waited on when it becomes my turn.Janet S.

The drop off location agreed upon wouldnt accept the trailer. That's fine, but a phone call would have been appreciated. The actual place I dropped off was clean and polite, but I was rather upset at the original location and the lack of care there. The agent said "its not my fault" that her lot was full. The trailer I used had a safety chain with no hook to the tow vehicle. One was obtained from another unit. The ties down hooks inside should be on Four corners, the left front was missing. I needed to have it because I was moving heavy furniture. I let the check in person know. Also the left rim has a lot of underlying rust. This may become an issue soon ThanksHines C.

Made the mistake of walking in versus reserving online. Even though I checked online for an estimate first, I chose to just drive there and request the truck in-person. That mistake ended up costing me significantly more. Next day, tried to get a reason why by calling main number. Was bounced around for more than a hour before the final person essentially lied the entire conversation. Claimed if I booked again, this time online, the rate would be the same. I was on the website while we were talking and consistently got a number nearly $250 less for the same service. Moral of the story, book online EVERY time!SHAD MICHAEL K.

I had ordered items that were not present when I picked up the truck - furniture dolly and 24 furniture pads. They said I would have to pick them up at another location because the U Haul person didn't do their job and ensure they had them for my rental. Apparently the UHaul person does this all the time, which is not fair to the mini mart or customer!CAROLINA D.

I was not pleased with the overall experience. The truck I rented was not available nor were the blankets I reserved several weeks in advance. The clerk at Holts was great with trying to make sure I had a truck and handling the situation. U-Haul should be embarrassed with the situation and make sure the clerk at Holts gets a bonus for salvaging horrible service by U-Haul.DARREN C.

This location is like a mini-mart. So trying to do business with them while the clerk had to handle other customers buying gas/snacks wasn't easy. She was polite and did her best, but she was trying to handle too many people at the same time. We were given no paperwork about who to call about problems or insurance (which we paid for and have always received when renting from other locations). But, the worst was the truck was filthy dirty. We've never had an issue with U-Haul trucks/trailers being dirty upon pick-up before, so didn't open the truck to look. When we got home and opened the truck we were in for a rude shock. The bed of the truck was covered in dirt and debris. Something had been spilled on the bed as well, leaving a sticky mess covering about 1/2 of the bed length. There was also gum stuck to the floor and worst of all - it appeared someone had cut themselves and blood spattered on the walls on one side. I guess I should have taken pictures, but we needed to just get loading. I spent more than an hour cleaning this truck!!! I then called the location we rented from and the clerk kept trying to offer me additional days rental even though I explained to her we didn't need the truck longer. Finally she said she would call her manager and let him know. He did call us back later and offered a discount which was acceptable. But, this put us behind in our loading/moving. Also, when we opened the truck door, the spring on the overhead door snapped. Thank goodness the door still worked so we were able to load and get moved. I called U-Haul (took 25 minutes to get through) to report this mechanical problem and the person I spoke with was very nice. We were able to move, but lesson learned - no matter how tired you are, open the truck/trailer and make sure it is clean before you leave the rental location.Michael B.
