Better explanation of documenting defects on the body of the truck. It was not explained that we would need to take pictures of any defects and upload it through email. By the time I saw the email, it had already expired.

Equipment was stored at the end of a narrow drive in a grassy field which badly needed mowing. The equipment I received was badly scratched and cracked (fenders) and only one tail light worked. The lift handle (the steel loop you hold to lift the trailer onto the ball) was broken and rusty on one end. The lady manning the rental desk was friendly and helpful, however.

The truck was nasty, it was like riding inside an ashtray. It also seemed to have never had it's tires balanced or any power steering maintenance performed. It storage area was also dirty and littered with trash. The people at the rental site acted as if this was the first time they had ever had someone come to pick up a truck. So to make a next visit better, I guess have them actually take care of the trucks after people return them.

After switching my pick up location 4 times, the last time for seemingly no reason I will not be using U-Haul again. Spent over an hour on hold trying to find out why we were being moved with no explanation and no seeming concern by people on the phone. Terrible customer service. One way rentals with a Penske was far easier.

I was impressed with my agent, who came in on her off day! The truck was very clean and ready upon arrival. However. , I was given one quote for insurance at a rate of 14.00 but when I arrived it was increased to 28.00 dollars. I am a public school teacher on limited funds and any pay increase came as a "shock".
