Crabby little lady that rented truck to me has no concept of customer service or politeness. She was not able to communicate beyond an 8th grade level or chose not to. She seemed miserable and was not a pleasant person. Will not use this location again.

Returned truck around 4 PM and the location was closed. Couldn’t report multiple issues with the truck. Charged a cleaning fee even though the truck was filthy when I picked it up.

Art SevinThe online rental system is completely broken. I spent 45minutes trying to get my van. In addition, my booking was requested for 7 hours and after finally unlocking my vehicle, I got a notice that it was due back after 4 hours from my pickup time. So frustrating.

I received a text the morning of the reservation disclosing the location had changed. The Collins location was extremely helpful, although the change was VERY INCONVENIENT!!!!!! I find being notified of the change the morning of the reservation by text was bad customer service! I do appreciate the $50 credit that was applied when called U-Haul, BUT 100% guarantee is 100%!!! It is U-Haul’s RESPONSIBILITY to get the truck from Covington to Hammond where it was guaranteed to be, NOT THE CUSTOMER. Otherwise, do NOT GUARANTEE.

Leslie RevisStaff was so rude that another team member intervened to fulfill our reservation. She mentioned repeatedly that our 3:30pm reservation was a major inconvenience since she planned to close at 4:00pm. A tow truck then blocked our trailer, delaying us another few minutes. There are two buildings marked "Holdens" with the trailers in one location and the office in another lot, which is confusing. Overall, a hostile environment for customers from beginning to end located in a high-traffic area. If it is possible to make a reservation elsewhere, do it.

Diane SchriderSeveral things: 1) List correct mileage on contract, mine was listed .8 below odometer. 2) Don't apply extra charges such as insurance without offering to customer, then tell customer you can't remove. 3) Have at least one person on site to assist customers hook up and check equipment, I asked my son to go help another customer after he asked for basic help at the desk with minimum three people on site and didn't receive assistance. 4) Review contract with customer, asked for one day quote, contract was for a few hours with a return check in fee in contract that wasn't mentioned - I called 800 U Haul number to check in. 5) Return odometer reading listed 1/10 higher and fuel gauge listed 1/8 lower than return resulting in fuel charge. I drove 25 miles and added $7.01 fuel down the street before return. I have pictures of gauges and charged fuel receipt - this U-Haul location is not forthright, maximizing all revenue streams without customer consult and I will go out of my way to avoid using them in the future. This being said after doing business in New Orleans, Covington, Hammond, Tampa, League City and Texas City over 20+ years. Only experience as bad as this was a vehicle break down 20 plus years ago.
william royI dropped off the truck after hours, so there was no one there. Parking is a bit tight, but I was able to find a parking spot. Before I dropped off the truck, I called for details & the lady who helped me, was very pleasant & helpful (unfortunately, I don't recall her name).

Donna MastersOverall the customer service was a plus but there were a few safety concerns with the truck we rented. The driver door wouldn’t remain closed while driving, the driver seatbelt got stuck multiple times and was hard to get out of it and lastly the truck had a hard time starting up after each stop. They didn’t comp my bill at all. I’m not going to rent from this location moving forward.

John SwitzerFor the second time in a couple months they overcharged me due to their errors and then tried to make it on me to be responsible. First time, the mileage out was incorrect on the paperwork by 141 miles, so they of course wanted to charge me. Thank goodness I took a pic with a time stamp and had to prove it was their error. Then again yesterday we returned the truck with a couple of hours, using it in Covington. Their paperwork showed the gas was at 1/4 tank out, so we topped off before returning it to a 1/4 tank. They always want to email you the receipt after you leave! When I received my final receipt they charged me $30 for fuel and a $27 fuel surcharge. I called and got this ridiculous excuse and they again required ME to provide a pic to back up their paperwork! So you have to have your evidence that their paperwork is correct… what??!! We of course had pictures! But let’s say you didn’t…we’ll good luck!! Took them hours to correct the issue bc “the manager” wasn’t in yet. Just very shady biz like other reviewers. Uhaul Corp needs to investigate their franchise! Not a good look for Uhaul! Don’t use this location but if you have to, document everything with pictures!!
