haroula mVery bad experience at Hinds and Hinds in Taos. I had reserved a truck and Vehicle tow-dolly online 2 1/2 weeks before pickup and was confirmed. Wheb U went to pick up the truck and tow for a cross country move, I was told they don't have the tow-dolly and if I want it I need to drive 50 miles to go get it. When I asked why I gave to go get it, the managers response was "Because that's the way it is". I had to drive 50 miles, using my gas money to go pick it up because no one in that office (3 employees sitting there doing NOTHING) wouldn't' help me with anything. I also ordered a regular dolly and when I checked the back of the truck for it, it was not there. I asked where it was and was told " Oh I put it in a different truck. Worst customer service I've ever experienced. They are representing your company. First of all, moving is a stressful time, but dealing with Hinds and Hinds was so frustrating. It was the worst customer service ever.

HICKS HThe brakes need work and the transmission would "drop" when re-accelerating after braking. It moaned and groaned when braking in reverse. At least it stopped! It is a Ford after all. The guys at the desk were great. Supplies reasonable priced and in stock. Perfect size truck for my needs. Truck was pretty clean even in this messy weather.

Jill CHaving rented U-Haul’s for over two decades for both business and private use; I’ve worked with countless different locations and personnel around the country: that said- these folks know their stuff! Though they are my local dealer, I say this from experience: They are prompt, courteous, unbelievably helpful, highly skilled and are overall fantastic to work with… Many franchises are shoebox operations- and in decades past this location has seen it all too. But now (& for many years) This has shown and become something else entirely… James- Alice, Scott, and the whole backend crew that support- deserve recognition for the hard work they put in making and holding this branch as an earned community connection that stands by their service and goes above and beyond on a regular basis! “5 star” reviews have become dilute- can be given because somebodies latte that day had extra whip cream- Idle excitement and useless information- I can stand by my opinion and offer 6… Hard earned, JjK
JUSTIN JI was overcharged for my mileage use on a pick-up truck rental. I did not take note of the beginning and ending mileage but it seems to exceed the round trip mileage for my destination.

Ann Linteresting...your customer experience questionnaire will not allow me to leave the stars which I see fit. I picked up the truck on Friday, Returning it the following day. I explained to the staff upon my returning the truck, that I very much was in need of the vehicle for my purpose. I went to great length at my personal expense to clean the glass on the 10 foot box truck with my own cleaning supplies, because it was in disgusting condition, as where the mirrors, I used my own time and labor to leave the truck in better condition than how it was left for to pick up. U-haul emrepresentatives who where on location did not seem to appreciate my efforts and made it quite clear to me that the $40.00 fuel I added prior to returning the vehicle was "all on me" as they so eloquently put it. I left the fuel at 7/8ths of a tank clearly $40.00 worth of fuel...I had originally scheduled to have truck back by Sunday, while location would not be open, leaving the truck to not be rented the following Monday. Instead the truck was brought back before one p.m. Saturday afternoon, allowing for truck to be available two whole days earlier than it would have been otherwise. The employee who checked me back in and found the fuel to have been put in by me, as well as the cab & windows to be all cleaner than it was left for me, laughed when telling me that my over all milage was going to leave my card charged over $100.00 more than originally estimated for my trip. I feel quite strongly these employees could benefit from more training in customer service. I wanted to leave only one star as I believe the overall satisfaction of my experience to be far below my expectations. If you all care to reach out for any further detail it will be my pleasure to inform you of the representatives abilities to leave me feeling good as a customer as I know myself to be.
Adam SEmployees should know more about the product. The info was on the website, but they should study the web site to answer questions better on the phone. Equipment was clean, but the right blinker was close to going out when picked up and did not work on return trip.

Gentle WI found a bag of Marijuana in the glove compartment
Frank AThe entrance was so narrow that I hit a landscape timber that tore off my doorstep even though it was properly stowed under the RV that I was towing the car with. Entrance to the area where they disconnect the trailer was through a locked gate with a long passcode and keypad that was difficult to reach causing me to get out of the vehicle. When I returned to pick up my car, I had to go through the whole gate thing twice more.

Space and unit had gas smell when rented, due to storage of a vehicle, but was promptly cleaned upon request. Security was good. Tight entry with horrible speed bumps. Nice staff. Lost keys, once, was not allowed to remove own lock, had to pay $35. And hits access too short unless you pay extra for after 6 pm entry, and early entry. Location perfect for in town dwellers.
