I asked the front desk person if there was enough gas to not get charged. She said it was fine. I didn't get check in untill the following day making me late. Then was charged for 2 gallons ($10+).

MATTHEW SI was sent to the wrong uhaul location but the person that just happened to be there directed me correctly. Otherwise I would have been so lost and behind my schedule. Everyone was so courteous and I hope you are paying them to be pleasant because everyone that helped me was so nice. Thank you. I would say that I could have had ten more miles added to my contract for what I paid. Seriously, I was given 80 miles and the Google maps put me at 78 miles from one place to the other. That wasn't very nice of practical. Is uhaul getting stingy?

MILES B | Overall ExperienceMaverick and other staff were *great* -- very professional and courteous -- and everything else was accommodating and convenient EXCEPT FOR BUG INFESTATION of my boxes! I was extremely disappointed and it was the first time in *many* moves that I experienced such an annoying and disgusting outcome. I'm sorry to have to write this, but I wanted to be honest, so "average" rating. As mentioned, every single person I interacted with over the telephone or in person was AWESOME, so thanks for that. Just the *opposite* for the bugs...AWFUL!!!

Ive been in both places and have heard the phone ringing and no one picks it up. And at least one of the employees is just sitting there doing nothing. North side is the worse very lazy.

BOYD E | Overall ExperienceGreat Foed van, peppy and stable ride. Truck was very clean. Rental was easy and surprise free. Great company (Hinds and Hinds, Taos, NM).
Mark OGood helpful staff and trailer was good to go. Only wished trailer had a jack to lift and lower, so you have to do that by hand which with a full trailer can be tough, but this crew was legit and made it easy to take and return.

STEPHEN ZMy biggest complaint was that I submitted a new business credit card for this particular move - the agent at the Taos location assured me it was the right card being used. I even read to him the credit card numbers and expiry he said "yes that one will be charged" - while driving across country I received a message from my bank that the entire amount was taken from my BANK ACCOUNT - which is what I wanted to avoid! I called in and was told someone would be getting back to me... no one ever did, This greatly impacted the rest of my 1,700 mile journey and my arrival to my destination as well as a few other bills that come out of that account. Will not be using UHahl again!
Laura CInstructions should be more clear that the 24 hour drop off lot is in the back and not visible from the road. I found it but had to get out and walk. Not intuitive spot with a trailer connected to my truck.

William BThe seats were covered in thick mat of dog hair, two different color dogs. There was no windshield wiper fluid. Everything else was perfect and the staff are awesome

Lex LSomeone smoked in the car and it wasn't aired out. It smelled awful The steering wheel was sticky The seats were covered with dog hair BUT- the people in the office couldn't have been more accommodating and the price was fair. I will always use them.

Stephanie WI called the location on the south side of Taos nearest where we needed the truck to move furniture and I specifically said no insurance as I have State Farm rental insurance, I also said if any changes I needed to be notified, my husband would only pick up the truck. Then I find out we have to go further to pick up at the downtown location as they did not have this 10ft truck at the south location-yet when I contracted, they say yes they have them? Then I find out I was charged insurance when I specifically said no. Not easy to contract with Hinds and Hinds; too many changes and miscommunication.

Edward FStaff is 5-star. Pricing is high for units, but that's just inflation in Taos, sad, but true. Access hours are not convenient for those of us who work multiple jobs or get off after 5p. Overall, I would use them again based on staff. Thank you for being a great team.

haroula mVery bad experience at Hinds and Hinds in Taos. I had reserved a truck and Vehicle tow-dolly online 2 1/2 weeks before pickup and was confirmed. Wheb U went to pick up the truck and tow for a cross country move, I was told they don't have the tow-dolly and if I want it I need to drive 50 miles to go get it. When I asked why I gave to go get it, the managers response was "Because that's the way it is". I had to drive 50 miles, using my gas money to go pick it up because no one in that office (3 employees sitting there doing NOTHING) wouldn't' help me with anything. I also ordered a regular dolly and when I checked the back of the truck for it, it was not there. I asked where it was and was told " Oh I put it in a different truck. Worst customer service I've ever experienced. They are representing your company. First of all, moving is a stressful time, but dealing with Hinds and Hinds was so frustrating. It was the worst customer service ever.

HICKS HAverage rating was given due to charging customers for a full month when they move out. Meaning there was no pro rating. Due to the high demand of units you are making double your money.

Keith D | Overall ExperienceSome damage to property due to water in unit at the back of property. Large puddles seeped into unit. Rent rose 3 times in a period of 2 years. Space and unit had gas smell when rented, due to storage of a vehicle, but was promptly cleaned upon request. Security was good. Tight entry with horrible speed bumps. Nice staff. Lost keys, once, was not allowed to remove own lock, had to pay $35. And hits access too short unless you pay extra for after 6 pm entry, and early entry. Location perfect for in town dwellers.
