The app needs some work. You should let people know to get their identification cleared prior to coming to pick up the truck as I spent almost an hour with tech support. Second, that you must pick up within 15 minutes of your time is not well communicated - as I tried to pick up 20 minutes after my time, and could not get the app to work and was locked out from picking up. Then on hold for 20 minutes waiting for support. Then the long process of identification. You sent me text messages about my reservation - easy enough to say "Be on time if you are 15 minutes late, you will not be able to pick up your truck", and "save time by putting in your license photos and pictures prior to arrival". It was Sunday morning, so no one was open, my location was not open and I spent almost two hours trying to pick up the truck that should have taken 10 minutes. If I had the option to do all the pre-check in work, then the process would have been a simple, log into the app, get that I am in the location, reconfirm that it is me (with text code to my phone) - and provide me the lock code. Too easy. What if it had been raining or storming and I was outside trying to work this app - with all the photos and scans? A pre-check in needs to be in the app and requested by text message right after the reservation. I had no idea the app was going to ask me all those questions and require all those scans.

MARCIA BUHaul reservation system and 24/7 Truck Share failed to make my truck available at the time indicated in the reservation. I was frustrated at every turn to make an 8 am pickup. Even a phone call to UHaul could not rectify the problem. In the end I waited a full hour for the local site manager to arrive. Even his system didn't work correctly. We finally made a "manual pickup" and lost more than an hour to get on the road. It was actually the UHaul reservation system that locked us out and forced a manual transaction. Rent on site and go to a place that opens before your pickup time or don't use UHaul.
Robert MI reserved a vehicle on line and never received a code to get the truck before opening hours. Your telephone staff are incompetent to say the least. I had to wait an hour until the office opened to pick up the vehicle. The location is great but your online reservation system needs to be fixed

Having to take -additional- pictures of my license and re-verify my address and additional contacts while I was out in the sun at the location trying to make sure my phone had signal to follow the instructions was a huge pain. I had entered most of that information already when I scheduled the rental, so doubling up on the paperwork while I was on site felt like a huge waste of time

CLAUDIA MYour App may be the second to worst thing after War and Starvation. It was painful to get it to work, then just as painful to call up customer service and try and work out the issues. The people helping were friendly and tried to help. Problem remains with the IT and corporate sides.

Reuben JLocation and contract was changed right before pickup. No dollies as ordered. Gas was left at barely above a 1/4 tank empty. Without dollies, delivery took much longer than it should have and I was charged for another 3 hours. All of this is unacceptable.

henry TRequested a pickup truck , had a confirmation for the pickup . When I arrived, they only had box trucks. The ac did not work and i was not able to transport 3 people in this vehicle. I will not pay any of this bill . U-Haul lied and pulled a bait and switch. I will never use this company again.
G CWhy do you need 3 phone numbers to rent a uhaul? I've rented several over the years and have never had a worse experience actually getting the truck. Your online pickup option is awful and I won't use it again.
Justin BDon't charge insurance after I left the location and told me over the phone that I was charged for insurance. We never discussed it. Then I had to wait 3 days for the price adjustment. Terrible business practice!

Your computer added in the $14.00 safe move charge even though I did not ask for it, The nice person at your location could not remove it and would have to process a refund, she also says that has happened before.
