I was supposed to use the app, but there was no way to use it. The keys were taken from representative. The website was somewhat messy - could not find any information about the "GO" (to follow through the app).Roger S.

The physical move went perfect, not a complaint in sight. When we dropped off the key the representative was not polite at all nor accommodating. He informed me that there was still a $4 balance. When I asked if the initial payment of over $50 was paid he said yes. So I tried 3 different cards and he said none of them worked. So I used his ATM and took out $20 to pay the $4 balance. I paid a service charge to withdraw the $20. I paid the balance and left. As I was leaving he stopped me and said the initial balance wasn't paid even though my online banking app showed the withdraw. He wouldn't let me leave without paying the balance, so I asked if he would reimburse $2.50 because I now have to go into his atm again. He said â€œabsolutely notâ€. If I knew the initial payment didn't go through I would have taken out enough to pay the full balance rather than having to pay 2 service charges. I am not happy at all with the customer service displayed today.Keith M.

Vehicle was covered in snow, and parked in such a way as to make snow clearing difficult. As the reservation had been confirmed in advance, the truck should have been cleared of snow.Nancy K.

When renting moving blankets it should be more clear that it's on a first-come-first-serve basis. I put 12 blankets in my reservation but when I arrived to pick everything up I was told there were only 6 left. I was only charged half price for them, but I ended up having to call around to friends and family the morning of my move to get more blankets.Michael K.

Improve price for short trips/rent time. Last weekend I paid 119$ for 22 hours, 150km. This time to carry bog boxes from costco to my place, I paid 71$ for 3 hours, 70km. thanks.Francois P.

For me personally, the location was perfect! Just a 1 minute walk from where I was located. The process was straight forward and easy; and the staff were exceptional! They were helpful, courteous and extremely personable! Loved loved the experience! And the price was fantastic! Thank you U-haul!!!Joseph F.
The truck I rented was clean but the steering was off, and it sounded like the U joints needed to be changed. The tires were bald, not good for an Ottawa winter. as I had to back up a little incline and had to put salt under the tires to get up it, Service at the counter , was quick and efficient.heather M.
I just wanted to let you guys know there was a mask in the cabin of the truck that was NOT mine and I refused to touch, and there were also three playing cards in the back of the truck but we put them in the trash.Renee H.

The guy who dealt with truck-return was very rude and started yelling at me even when the fuel was full after the ride. He pointlessly argued saying I should pay for the fuel. I told him he can charge whatever for the fuel for which he demanded we better go fill it ourselves and threw the keys at me and threw things around insulting me in front of people. I'm not paying money to U-haul to be yelled at in-spite of handling the vehicle carefully and returning it on time.Sreejith U.

The customer service agent in the store Was not user friendly and it was the 1st time be used to u-haul and you weren't aware of the system he just told us to go and call you guys he never told us what pretty and busy having or anything like that and when we booked up if I think yeah a 20' truck he told us hes not having one you have to call them again and we were so frustrated and then we again booked another 1 and he never told us how to do the procedure cause if I would have been in his place I would definitely would have instructed the customer out of the wood and what we Indians do I have for that the customer doesn't you know where is his time in and going all night ending the reservations but he wasn't helpful at all and neither was a to respectfulVivek S.

Equipment I reserved (furniture dolleys) was not at the location and it was to late to change providers. The location simply said "the website doesn't check what we have in stock before accepting your request". This caused a lot of frustration for my move. Everything was fine at the location - but the website not confirming equipment is even "available" when reserving just feels like a lie.Jean L.

My last name was written incorrectly. Its Lett .... not Lette. Truck was filthy on the outside. Car wash place was just next door.SYLVIE L.
The gentleman that I checked in with had difficulty accessing the U-Haul website and was therefore delayed in releasing the equipment to me even though I had completed the required on line check in. He was very courteous and considerate and I understood that this was something beyond his control. I was, however, dismayed when I discovered that the electrical cord for the trailer lights was so short that it didn't even reach the ball on the tongue of the trailer. This required a special trip to a nearby hardware store to purchase an extension so that I could safely operate the trailer. I was informed that the individual that had rented the trailer the previous day had experienced the same issue and had also had to purchase the extension cord. I would have expected that U-Haul would have realized that their equipment is unsafe in the state that they are renting it and that they would have taken the appropriate actions to remedy the situation when it was first realized. Instead it appears that the company has chosen to ignore the safety issue that their clients face when renting this piece of equipment.Heike B.

The online app is very glitchy, gave me 2 pick up locations on same order, not clear that one was my preferred pick up but 2nd one was my actual pick up... email should be more clear. The truck had obviously not been sanitized between uses. I think sanitization of high traffic surfaces (headrest, handles, steering wheel, radio etc) should be mandatory during the current health crisis.Mel C.

-specific to this incident -early pick up, agent unable to alter return time to 8:30am -faulty gas gauge: @ start gas at 'F', after 26kms, it went over F and agent would not rebate me. he would not verify my claim and asked me to call UHAUL and complain -closed out Acct on my credit card, despite my request to use INTERAC - have pictures of gas gauge, and reciepts, - please review and consider a form of rebate for the xtra gas - will use contact form to send pictures thank yoususil W.
have rented several times from the location near my house. I booked a van for this same location and Uhaul rebooked pickup from another location without my consent. I was left a voicemail.....callers voice was muffled, not clear and did not leave a call back number. Showed up for pickup the next morning only to find my truck was at another location 25km away. This caused delay in pickup and I had to pay for extra kms due to the remote location of the pick up.Ben W.

I don't understand why it cost $28 to fill tank after driving 20 miles! Clearly wasnt fully topped up when I picked up the truck. Not the lessees fault because the gauge indicated full on pick up.christopher B.

During this time , i would have expected to find a clean and well maintained truck. The truck was absolutely filthy and needed to be cleaned by myself, as well as fully disinfected, once again the truck was filthy. The check engine light was on the whole time..
