While the location, cleanliness and recommendation are all positive, this location does not handle any of the rentals anymore. Frustration dealing with the Uhaul policy now of doing everything on a phone has pushed me to look for other rental options. I could go to the store, talk to an employee and be out with a truck/trailer in 10 minutes. This time took me 1hr 15min after several phone calls. Would not recommend Uhaul. WILL NOT go to a regular Uhaul location. Understaffed constantly.

Not really fair to rate this small town location...in the midst of Covid. It is really just parking spaces near a convenient and trusted local grocery store chain. It is functional and "fine" for its purpose.

Get all the info you need I.E. photos of driver license and customer the day before check in and not at the check in when it is pouring down rain and no rep. from the company present. Parking the van by mud puddles and missing rented equipment supposed to be in back of truck. Trash under seats I guess from last renters. This onsite remote check in needs a lot of attention.

Rented 6x12 Trailer worked out well my only compliant is that the inside smelled of gas and oil and had a film of that on the floor. Would suggest looking inside before using it. Was my 1st time renting one lesson learned !!

When the appointment is made at specifice time, please have someone there to handle the paperwork etc. Both at pickup and return we waited for someone to process us. We drove a distance to get the trailer so waiting for agent was a little annoying. Once we got someone to help all was good.

I was inappropriately added moving blankets, a dolly and other accessories inappropriately. Had to be taken off the order before I left with the trailer. Gretchen helped to take care of the mischarges.

The agent that prepared the rental agreement had to manually enter a lot of information, like my credit card number and who knows what else. That took way more time than it needed to. This could be an excellent location if it was better equipped to scan information rather than enter by hand.

I originally had a truck reserved at the Wauconda, Illinois location, but within an hour of receiving a confirmation by phone message and text that the truck would be there the next day, as it was supposed to be, Icalled there to see if I could pick it up early, only to be told that they had given the truck to someone else. When I asked how that could be and expressed my displeasure, it was clear that the woman I was talking to didn't care and did not make any attempt to find a solution. It was the staff at the Crystal Lake location that helped me to get a truck at the Lake in the Hills location. In my opinion, your company should discontinue business with Wauconda Storage, which was the location that was at fault, and would have caused me to never do business with U-Haul again, if not for the Crystal Lake staff helping me.

The new ford van was nice, but in comparison to the van I rented in May it held much less because it only had 54 inches of clearance in the back cabin. Which did not only the dressers that I needed to move to be standing up and caused the use of more room .

When we picked up the vehicle, it was close to empty. They gave us an $18 fuel credit. We returned the vehicle filled to the amount of the 18 fuel credit, which was just under 1/4 tank. The $18 fuel credit we received initially was revoked when we returned the vehicle and received the final bill (because the tank was less than 1/4 full. This does not seem fair since the fuel credit we received didn't allow us to fill the tank to more than 1/4 full.

The email sent from corporate after I had already settled my bill with the location telling me that I had rented an additional day and owed more . Completely off base and inappropriate. The van was returned within the 34 hour rental period, is this a money grab belt corporate, it wasn't at the location. What a way to ruin a good rental experience. Very disappointing.

It took 30 minutes to an hour to check in even when I used express check in because they didn't know how to add a driver. We returned it late that night. Next day, got a call that we left an extension cord. Took them 25 minutes to get it to us when it was sitting right in front of me because the lady didn't want to look for it. Good equipment and well maintained, horrible customer service.
