The guy charged us a fraudulent fee not on Uhaul side. I'm wondering how he had access to my credit card. We got the truck filthy so we cleaned it out. I went in and cleaned the cabin which included the dashboard, cup holders, seats and steering wheel. Plus brushed out the cabin and sweep out the back before returning the truck

Uhaul website indicated that a trailer could be rented in Bluffton, SC. After speaking with a representative, I found out that the information was false from the beginning. Uhaul trailer rental has to either come from Hardeeville, SC or Beaufort, SC. Just speak the truth up front and not lie.

I checked with who I believe may have been the owner when I reserved the trailer in Greensboro to make sure that the Hardeeville location was a drop-off location. He said it was. When I was looking for the exact location I called and it was closed but the man who answered the phone was a jerk asking what kind of trailer it was. He almost didn't want to accept the drop-off. He hung up on me.

The proprietor forced me to take the $10 collision damage waiver. Even though I had opted out of it and have a credit card that covers that. He had a bad attitude overall. He is very unfriendly. I'm kind of surprised that somebody like that is even in a customer facing job. If I didn't need to get the truck to get a job done I would've told him to shove it. He was just an unpleasant person. In the big scheme I could not care less about $10. It is just the fact that he forced me to accept that waiver knowing that he had me over a barrel. Very shady. In case you're reading this, whatever your name is, I called U-Haul and they refunded me the money. I hope they take it out of your pocket.

Have used the Hilton Head Island location in the past since it was closer to my home, however had to travel 45 minutes to the Hardeeville location since didn't have a 6'x9' utility trailer. Plus return it back to the same location which added extra time and gas!

Drop off point was changed in the middle of the night. There is now NO drop off point on Hilton Head Island or Bluffton, SC and minimum driving distance to drop off is 40 miles or more each way. Totally unacceptable and would not have rented from you!

The guy we picked up from was extremely rude. No people skills at all. He looked at my boyfriend and I like we shouldn't even be in the store. He tried to bully me into getting insurance and then tried to scare me because I opted out. Telling me nobody has ever explained it correctly and that if there was any damage to the truck he was going to charge my card and if there wasn't enough money in my account he would wipe it clean and get my bank account closed like he just felt I didn't have the money. I'd already spoken to my insurance company and I knew I was covered. I guess at that point he was pissed and tried to move fast when I was signing paperwork and everything. I asked could I take a picture and instead of saying, “ma'am you get copies” he just firmly said no several times and then mentions I get copies. I would never rent from this place again. To top it off I have bad asthma and the store smelled like pure cigarettes. If he's not a people person, get a new job but don't try and bark at people that come in. If nobody rents you don't have a job. I'm in sales and make great money so I get it. So no sir you're not going to, “close my bank account” because the rental regardless of my experience with him turned out great.

I know pickup and drop off locations vary. But, I was told to goto a site and when I got there was informed they don't do trailers! And had to spend an additional hour dropping off to different place. That's my only complaint, otherwise everything was great.

I checked the tire pressure before loading and found the right tire pressure was greater than 80 pounds (over my gauges max) and the left tire pressure was 19 pounds. My trip was to be close to 1300 miles and in heavy traffic. I can only imagine what may have happened if I did not check the tire pressure. The trailer should have had the correct pressure before I rented it. I may have prevented a major accident or worse. Poor preparation for renters.

We rented a 6 by 12 enclosed trailer.. it was clean but on the right side there was a leak from the underside I believe the wheel well and caused some boxes to get wet..nothing was damaged thankfully but we had to replace many boxes..

I had been put on E-alert…a beer can had been left in back of truck i had returned to a Jacksonville location in July…lady could not resolve my problem gave me another given an 800 # to call…person couldn't help either… gave me initial 800 #… Fortunately owner of Auto Medics was able to call someone who resolved problem… a 30 minute delay in picking up truck… great truck

The worst experience ever. I will never use Uhaul again. My emailed in writing confirmation stated i had a 2 day rental for 144 miles. I arrived and I dot not have that. The pick up location was NOT what i ordered on the phone with the rep. I NEVER even mentioned that location. NO ONE would help me. 1.5 hours sitting at this site in the rain and 4 techs on the phone, and NO ONE would resolve. THE rudest person ever works onsite. We had to deal with his rudeness for 1.5 hrs on top of not having the correct reservation. No one cared that I had it in writing for a 2 day rental. They moved my mileage down to 107 even tho i had 144 in writing! Again NO ONE would help. So i was forced to pay more for less than i reserved. I should get a refund! The entire check in would not work. And the rude worker just laughed and said “call it in”. Well there was a 45 min wait to call in. I am absolutely appalled i was lied to by the 1st phone rep on both price, days to rent and return location. 2 phone rep confirmed I had 144 miles at my then correct return location. That rep lied too as I immediately got an email stating the opposite. The 3rd rep dud not lie but said she had no idea why how it reverted to 107 miles and 1 day rental and different return location. But she said she couldnt help and talk to a scheduler. So then the scheduler saw it all but said he could not do anything about it. Such a NOT SO FUN 1.5 hour experience. This was a bait and switch for sure. I want a refund!

The original Drop Off Location was 190 miles from Bluffton, SC, my destination. There are 4 U-Haul locations in the Bluffton area put none would take the trailer. David at the pickup location made arrangement to drop off the trailer in Hardyville, SC. about a 40 minute drive from our home.
