It 20 miles out of way where I usually rent from is only 1 mile from my house and it's in a Bad neighborhood!!!!! Truck was dirty inside and out, bed had grease in it and got on some cloth furniture that will not come out of. The manager of this location was very rude and disrespectful. The truck I rented broke down on us 2xs. We were late bring the truck back due to the truck breaking down. I called and spoke with someone name Bonita who said she was going to have someone from corporate to call on Monday. No. the Price increased by 30.00 when returned and the owner directed me to call Uhaul- He who processed the charges was UNABLE to EXPLAIN the increased cost- We returned the truck with the proper amount of fuel and DID NOT go over the allotted mileage.Cassandra D.
I originally was scheduled to drop off at another location, but the address given by uhaul was not correctâ€"there was no ihaul business . Called uhaul help line and explained the situation , uhaul rep was very helpful. The location I was given to drop off was a bit â€˜sketchy'â€"not lit very well, not a true parking lot and on a side street. I dropped off in the middle of the night because I knew I wld not wake up in time to drop off at 8am. This next part was aggravatingâ€"my cell reception sucked in this area and trying to upload different pics for each section took forever. I was a bit uneasy being there in the middle of the night trying to upload pics with sucky cell phone service.STEPHANIE K.

We arrived at Happy Tire discovered that that none of the additional moving items were not in the truck. The truck had less than a 1/4 tank of fuel and the truck was dirty in side in the back. We spent an hour on the phone with uhaul to remove the moving equipment charges from our bill. The online check in did not work wellWILHELMJOSEPH B.

We arrived about 8:50am for a 9:00am pickup. Attendant tried to charge me for an extra day for being 10 minutes early. He told me he couldn't hook up the trailer so I had to do it. He told me that when I returned the trailer to put it back where I had picked it up from. when we returned it back it was about 5:30 pm on Tuesday a almost 15 hours early as it wasn't due until Wednesday morning at 9:00am. The space where I had picked it up from was occupied by a van, so I backed it into the next space, un hooked and went in to report the trailer back. The attendant, the same man who rented me the trailer went nuts telling me to move the trailer. I told him that it was back to as close to the pickup point that I could do and that it was disconnected already. He then said he would charge me a early return fee when on Monday morning telling me to just drop the trailer if I finished with it early. He kept insisting that I re connect the trailer and move it for him. He did not move the van but rather told me to stick it into a slot to the right of the left of the van. The slot was just a bit wider than the trailer and there was no way that I could back the trailer into it with out damaging the van or the U-haul trailer on the other side. I had driven from Harrisburg Pa. that day and didn't really need to deal with a guy that really has no business interacting with the public. On top of that he charged me a $20.00 early return fee. I've rented numerous trailers from U-haul. Thanks to him this is the last. I'll go buy a trailer. U-Haul really should consider who is the Face of your business. Happy Tire is everything but.Jerry P.

I reserved the truck for 4pm, when I got there, they didn't have it. I had to go to 2 other places to find the truck that I paid for. Then had to go across town to get an appliance dolly which I also reserved and they didn't have. I didn't get a tuck until after 6pm. I will never use Uhaul again. And the place that I dropped it off at was extremely unfriendly.Lindsey P.

After picking up the truck, and driving an hour to our destination, the owner called and said we must return the truck asap because he had given us the wrong one. We said he could come and exchange trucks or that we would keep this truck as planned, but we were not going to drive two hours ourselves, because it was his mistake. He said this was not an option, threatened violence if we did not return it, and that he was calling the police to report the truck highjacked and stolen. We called U-Haul central, and the team did a great job sorting it out. But was a shocking experience. Read the reviews for this place and see other similar outrages. U-Haul should cut its ties with Happy Tire. It tarnishes the brand.CHARLES P.

Had a reservation at another location but was switched to this location. On way to location was called and told I was late for pick up and they were really busy and I would have to wait. No problem with that, but upon arrival, it is a used tire shop. Nonprofessional to say the least was the guy behind counter. Yelled at his employee and had someone else get information saying I was in a hurry (which I never said). Overall just unprofessional.John W.

Uhaul sites all showed the facility had Sunday hours so I was slightly unsure how to proceed when I arrived and they were closed. Site should be updated. Parked, dropped the key, and hoped for the best! Received my final check in however and all went well so no complaints about the facility or their staff.Jean-Marie S.

This place needs to be closed and employees fired. Got a truck with no rear view mirror or camera on rear view mirror. Gas gauge was broke. Put $10 in and only drove 20 miles. Forgot to turn in appliance hand truck. Called two times to see if place was open so could return hand truck, not one answered the phone and had no answering machine. Later after business hours, got voice mail stating was being charged $160 for cost of hand truck. Went back next day to return Hank truck and no one could reverse charges. I requested clerk leave message for manager to reverse charges by end of day, clerk accused me of making treat and called me ass hole. This place should be shut down. Disgrace to Uhaul!!!Ronald C.
The location was in an old used tire shop. Both employees were friendly. The were 3 5x8 trailers. 2 old rusty ones and one newer one. The first 2 blew out my fuse. I had to go down the road and after 3 tries finally found the correct replacement fuse. After coming back with the new fuse we hooked up to the newer trailer and all the electrical worked. They blamed my truck for a bad ground but it was the trailers that blew my fuse. I don't know who maintains the equipment but some of these old trailers need to be put out to pasture. Not sure I'd go back there. I guess if they were the only place that had what I needed. I have used other u-haul in Burlington NC that were much newer and cleaner and had newer better equipment.Hal A.

I was charged double when the online operator informed me that wouldn't be the case. We ran down the street and returned the truck with hardly any gas used and they charged me for a FULL tank of gas; Uhaul over charged me for several things. I might as well have hired a moving company for that price.william S.

My overall experience was positive. To qualify the no for clean and well maintained equipment, the exterior of the truck was a little muddy and the front left tire was low, which should be a no brainer at a tire place. The truck ran great, the service was very friendly, the interior of the cab and the box was very clean.Earl T.

Unfortunately, this location did not have the moving supplies that I ordered thru the mobile app. I did not receive any notifications to inform me of the missing equipment. I had to use additional mileage to go pick up the moving supplies from a different U-Haul location. Miles and time that I didn't want to use.Portia H.
