I will never use uhaul again! I will tell everyone to never use uhaul as well. I made my reservation two months ago and the day before my move I was contacted via text msg that the truck I reserved was not available and the closest place that had the size truck I needed was over 50 miles away from me. I think this is a horrible way to run a business. I understand that things happen but uhaul should let the customer know up front during the reservation process not less than 24 hours before my move. I sure it was in some fine print in my rental agreement if so that is a very poor way to mislead a customer. Because I did not have the means to drive an extra 50 miles(one way) due to this company's screw up I had to settle for a smaller rental truck. Due to the smaller truck I was unable to complete my move in one day. Uhaul dropping the ball has cost me valuable time and lots of extra money. I will never use uhaul again. Using Uhaul has been a horrible experience and I will make sure to tell everyone how uhaul deals with customers. Also when I contacted customer service her name was Ashley had ZERO remorse for me and just repeating herself that the only truck was available in Temple Texas. I tried explaining to her that this is putting me in a very stressful spot and how could this happen when I made this reservation two months ago and with not compassion at all she just kept repeating herself about the truck in Temple. I asked her if I could speak to a manager to see if there was something they could do that she couldn't she responded to me that I could speak to Customer service and hung up on me. I called back and said my wait time would be 20-30 minutes. I could not wait that long because of my job. I had my wife call and try and figure out this situation we were in and she talked with the same person Ashley. My wife Said that Ashley then proceeded to tell her how rude my husband was to her. That seems very unprofessional. When I called the voice recording said all call are being recorded so feel free to listen to our conversations. The website seemed to be a bit buggy regarding the pick up and drop off process. I tried submitting photos of my license during pick which is a Texas issues DL and it kept saying It was an international license.Ernesto F.
