Next time, clean the truck and rid it of the gasoline smell that it is still on my boxes and mattresses!!! The wheels on the furniture dollies were worn out and raggedy and hard to use while moving. When I called the location, representative seem to be bother by the call, upon arriving, the guy who attended me was on his air pods on the phone. I was given a quote on how much it'll be based on the cost, the quote was set for 78$, which would include everything and 30 miles including taxes and the insurance plan. I made sure to ask if I need to put gas on the vehicle, he said that they charge by the mile not the gas. When I return the car, the lady took my keys and told me I'll be getting an email with the receipt, I told her how much would it be, she said I'll be getting that info later that day any questions ask. Later that day nothing, the next day I got a charge of 123$ on top of the 78$, totaling to 200$, once I received the bill break down, I'm getting charge 30$ for gas on top of the 85 cents per mile, i did go over 30 miles but the quote was misleading. I tried calling back but keep going straight to voicemail. Stay away from this placeJose C.

The only thing I did not like is that when we picked up the truck it was noted that we wanted to drop it off at a location near our house. Half way on our drive from Alexandria back to Newport News we are told we have to take it to downtown Newport News. Not a place a woman wants to be at night.BRIANGENE S.

This location was much farther than the initial drop off location based on my 23606 zip code in Newport News, VA home location. The initial drop off was located only minutes from that location. When we got there the guy was asleep on the couch... he set things up and didnt do it anywhere near correctly which when it got it home the wire snapped which we had to rewire and then it broke the front of my car. No one seemed to care.Michael S.

There was trash left in the back of the truck provided for me. It had a very strong smell as if it had been left in the back of the truck for a while. Moving the bag of trash there were maggots underneath the bag. I took it upon myself to clean the back of the truck so I could start my moving process. I requested a pick up at Churchland Movers. Upon arriving and waiting approximately 1 hour I was informed that they did not have the tow dolly I reserved. I had to drive to Newport News to pick up the dolly when I live 2 miles from Churchland Movers. Why does your website include a pick up location field when you can't even get one to the city I requested a pick up in. This is the 3rd time in one year that this has happened. The final bill came out higher than expected. The mileage fee adds up pretty quickly. An alternate rental option may have been less expensive, but U-haul caught my attention by $20/day rental teaser rate.Douglas E.

It seemed that the person checking us wasn't exactly sure what he was doing. He sent us out with the wrong mileage on the truck which then complicated the length of time it took to return the truck at the next location. We also had to pick up the truck from a different location than the one that we booked it with. The equipment was good and the person sending us out was pleasant despite the error of the mileage..stephanie B.

The truck was clean, but the auto transport wasn't. As a result, the charges for the trailer had to be refunded and we had to drive both truck and my SUV separately. This resulted in not being able to split the 24 hours drive. Unfortunately, they were no other trailers available. I was not a happy customer.Rosamund M.
Uhaul charged both my cards cause it said there was a problem with the first one but charged both caked and told them they said it would be reversed the next day but 6 days later it still hasn't been resolved and still waiting on a call back from the supervisor at 1800 Uhaul whip I have been dealing with not either of the vendors but Uhaul itself. I use Uhaul 2 to 3 times a year but this experience has left me wondering about an alternativeDeron B.

This place gave us a broken trailer then we spent a lot of time trying to find another trailer the truck was not the right truck and we had let's gas in it that they told us was in it and the tags on the truck did not match the paperwork we had the wrong truck the guy was very nice but everything was wrong I would not recommend this place to anyone.Robert M.

The staff is courteous and knowledgeable, the equipment is modern and clean. They're here when ever you need them, even at the last minute, like I did.ERIC B.
I made a reservation to pick up the truck at 7:30 am. The location was not open until 8 so I had to stand outside in the cold for 30 minutes. The truck was not in great condition, power steering was marginal and one of the rear tires blew. Luckily the tire blew after I reached my destination. I believe the flat tire was a result of improper tire pressure because the tire that didn't blow on the same side is pretty low, which should not be the customers reaponsibilty or problem. My experience with Uhaul has always been good, but this time was very bad.William R.
