We received a U-Haul that did not have working brake lights, flashers, back up lights or turning signals. We did not realize this until we got to our destination. Because of this, we had to cut our day short and we were unable to move everything we needed to. When we returned to the U-Haul drop off location, we informed the attendant at the location about the broken lights. He assured us he would reach out and inform corporate. We explained that we took a huge risk driving in a van that did not have any working lights and that we could have gotten in an accident or pulled over by the police. We did not appreciate this and will not be visiting this site again. The U-Hauls need to be properly inspected before being given to a customer.Linwood M.
Pick up time was 2 pm 4/27/22 but business was closed. Took 2 hours after calling many times to get the key. Back left tire almost empty & had to fill. Had to stop a few times to fill back up,. Business closed later in the night & wanted to request extended time due to all these issues. Called in the morning & business closed. Spoke to Uhaul worker, explained situation & given extra time. She apologized & it was my understanding I was going to get credit. Instead I was charged $100.48 & an additional $52.92 the following day. I put $80 in gas & the truck was half filled. It was close to empty when I received it. I will be contacting the corporate office to explain this situation & will ask for credit. This was very disappointing. Additionally, I had 4 movers that had to return the next day & be paid again due to the constant truck malfunctions.Belen D.

The initial process at which you had to scan your ID took forever bc my NJ license is glossy. The app and the chat person kept asking me to take a picture of it like 10 times. Also, I am not sure why I needed to have a second contact for them to be called to verify me. If I went to a location with a sales person that would not have been needed.Leavon H.
the only concern i have is when i went to pick up my truck and showed my reservation number to the gentleman behind the counter, he flat out told me "we dont go by reservations, we go by a name".Joseph M.

Website check in experience was less than user friendly and not supported by the gentleman working at the facility. He got me on a $7 cash payment to him for a hand truck and I also filled the tank after driving 25 miles. My receipt calculations would show the van only got 5 mpg which is just stupid. So, I know I got the van with less than the full tank that was stated. So, I feel I was overcharged by at least $10 for gas and basically lost the $7 he put in his pocket for the hand truck. Never will I recommend this facility.Stephen D.

This was a horrible experience!! I rented a truck via phone and was given a truck that was blocked by other trucks! Could not get out. Spent an hour on the phone trying to get another truck from the lot. Wasted two hours of my day! Awful awful awful experience!!!Marcin J.

Horrible experience! Initial call was a nightmare. Inexperienced person who didn't know what she was doing. Kept booking wrong vehicle. Go to pick up and dealt with the same inept person. Never was it mentioned I had to pay for gas, during initial call or leaving with van. Got in and the change oil light was on which prevented ability to see mileage. Friend commented the gas gauge was at 3/4. Didn't think it mattered. Got back and a new person asked if I filled up. I said I was not told that. He told me I had to fill to 7/8 which was more than I left with! He then wanted to charge me $40 for gas! If that is the policy, the tank should be filled when renter leaves and them told to return full. Who is going to dicker over where the line was. Went 32 miles! Two gallons of gas at most. Got home checked receipt and was charged $4.60 a gallon! Will never use that location again. Inept and unethical.Donna F.

Although everything worked out in the end your process was a little confusing. I initially picked a location for pickup that was more convenient. I received an email update for pickup but it only gave me an address that was very similar to the first location. I didn't realize the error until I tried to pick up the van at the first location. Had you also included the NAME of the new location in the update I would have noticed the change.Edward K.

I dropped off my U-Haul had problems with my phone that it could not have my location sent to U-Haul to 20 minutes on the phone until the gas attendant told me I can leave as long as the key was in the dropbox and I wouldn't be charged anymore. And the U-Haul on the phone told me that would be OK. Found out they charge me over $70 because they said I had it more than 24 hours picked it up at 8 AM dropped it off around three-ish same day! Called U-Haul and I am now waiting for my reimbursement on their errorROBERT J.

Only disappointing negative - and could be easily fixed: I was scheduled to return my vehicle to the Cherry Hill, NJ Grub Grab N Go location last Saturday morning. There was significant discrepancy/confusion regarding opening time / hours of operation. The posted sign states 8am, but I was told by the manager that they need some time to open, etc. so I should plan to be there at 830am (which I did). The employee who arrived to open up arrived after 9am and told me they don't open until 930. Cost me an hour of my time that that I didn't appreciate. Very unnecessary.lyle B.
The right passenger mirror was loose and made it very dangerous to drive. Since I picked it up when the shop was closer there was no one to talk to and they were also closed the next day. I also tried calling customer service which was not helpful and ended up driving and unsafe car because I had a deadline to move my belongings. It was a very terrifying drive. The cargo area was not swept out. The work regarding the checkout process has been transferred to the customer. It was a time consuming process which the customer should not be burdened with and certainly should not be charged if not completed. I don't look at my phone much and almost missed it. I was not informed that this was my responsibility when renting the truck.Thomas B.

Made a reservation 4 days prior and there was no record of it when I got there. Luckily someone dropped off a van but it was filthy with â€œlow gas alarmâ€ on. I had to put in $5 just to get out of the rental office. I could not use 1/3 of the van space. Therefore I had to make 2 trips. I should not have been charged at all, the office man gave me a credit of $5- I figured it wasn't' his fault so I did not give him a hard time. I have rented cargo vans many times from uhaul- I will sure think twice next time I need one.CHRISTOPH R.

The truck was due back at 10:12am we got there at 10:30am and was charged an extra full day of rental, plus taxes and insurance and another fee for having driven 22 miles over the allowanceâ€¦ 18 minutes late does not equal a full day (24 hr). Policy or greed..? You decide.!James L.

For 24/7 pick up, enable customer to specify a pick up time that is outside the time the Grab n Go is open. On the website, I was unable to specify 9 am pick up because the Grab n Go does not open until noon. This did not allow me to complete the pick up process.Michael P.
