I would not recommend UHaul at all unless absolutely necessary. If I had an alternate option I would have cancelled with UHaul after having to set up a reservation twice. The first time UHaul called and advised me the truck I wanted wasn't available at the location I had chosen. (So the website is not accurate.) Then I made a new reservation (this was well in advance of my move date) and 3 days before my reservation someone called to tell me I couldn't do a one way and drop off the truck at the location where I was moving, I'd have to drive the truck back. (Twice as many kilometers! And a little late to figure something else out.) I was given a price and it was paid. We used the truck then dropped it back off a few hours later. (I could have had it from 9am-9pm.) Done. Wait! Nope. I get an email a few days later telling me I owe more money but it doesn't explain why and that if I pay it by a certain date they won't charge a $30 late charge. I couldn't figure out what the remaining charge was for and kept meaning to call UHaul (amazing they didn't call me to tell me I owed them money and to explain why!), lost track of time so then I owed the extra $30. I go into my bank account today and they automatically withdrew the money with the late fee!!! So if they could automatically take the money out of my account why didn't they do it right away? When I wouldn't have had to pay the extra $30 fee. The whole experience was awful especially at a time when things are already so stressful with a move. I would NOT recommend UHaul.

I thought the $30 late charge for being 2 hours late was excessive on an 8 day rental. This charge was applied by U-Haul, not by the drop off location

I dropped the vehicle off on a Tuesday, no one was around, the one parking area beside another U-Haul can had a low overhanging branch that I didn't want to park under so I parked in another location. Not very good signage

The 26 foot UHAUL truck only has a 24 foot box. The "granny's attic" does not count into the length of the truck. When people talk about a 26 foot truck, they mean that the floor is 26 feet long. Each foot of length is assumed to contain about 56 cubic feet of space. The tactic of naming a 24 foot long truck as a "26 foot truck" is extremely misleading and downright dishonest. To improve this, I would suggest being honest about the product.
