Convenient, but bad instructions. I parked the 15' truck in the parking lot, dropped the keys in the drop box, and let the employees (who were not U-Haul employees) know it was there. I got no confirmation I was good to go, and no indication that I had returned correctly.MATTHEW J.

Way overcharged, trailer was not properly checked in therefore resulting in a 4 day charge for a trailer rented only a few hours. Store employee loosely hooked up my trailer, causing it to come off on the highway 10-12 minutes after my departure. Causing damage to the underside of my vehicle. Initial rental fee was $39ish, but I have this charge, and another $45 charge and $118 dollar charge against my bank account.Sean I.
When I walked in the door, the staff bickered on who would do the Uhaul rental for at least 5 minutes. The trailer was covered in snow and frozen to the ground. I had to help him attach the trailer and tighten it down. He had no idea how to attach the safety chains, so I had to show him that. The employee handed me shovel, and I had to completely shovel out the trailer myself AND clear all the ice off the anchor points. Then go back over everything to insure it was ready to go. I know it was a cheap trailer rental, but I expected better service.Bernard L.

Was much more expensive than anticipated. Gas mileage sucks.. Not even a full load and I paid for 6 gallons to refill tank for 30 miles on Country roads! That's 5mpg! Items were what I loaded and unloaded with minimal help and I am 65, so not overly heavy items. Something feels off.TONI F.

Uhaul customer service sucked. The location was fine. They had me go 55 miles out of my way and charged an extra 40 so for a 15 foot box 200 dollars including tax and it was still to small to move everything.Martha G.

The location and pickup were fine, but the customer service person had significant problems working with the U-haul software. The software refused to advance to a point of accepting the credit card. While it may have been user error, my observation of the process was that the service person was following the directions and if something was missing that was not intuitive. As a result of the multiple attempts to engage the credit card screen, I was notified by my credit card company of "suspicious activity" on my card and the need to obtain a new card. So, thank you u-haul for adding some complication to my life. Please see if you can make your rental checkout program more user friendly.John M.

The employee at this location was very helpful and friendly! Helped hook up equipment and show everything to hook up ourselves. We had to drive an extra 30miles one way to get the car dolly we reserved online at a site in Fridley that said had it there! Told This location gets a lot of people from long distances having to this as well. U-Haul has to improve there online sites to correct this!Clayton S.

I was not happy with the scheduling of the trailer. My reservation was changed 4 times and I had to drive over an hour to get it. There are 10 locations within 15 minutes of my home and none of them had a trailer to rent.Richard R.

I had to go way out of my way to pick up truck ,cause the other location I was suppose to go to truck was in shop, said they would charge me 79 cent per mile ,they charged me over a $1 per mile,they told me they would not charge my card till I bought truck back,they charged my card $79.09 then put it back into my account then charged #68.00 all this was charged the day I went to get truck,then when I took truck back tried to tell me they didn't charge my card $68.00 but when I got my bank on the line they said oh wait we found where we did charge her card,so the balance was 140.00. 209.00 total ,but I had to drive extra miles to this location at 119 per mile when she said 79 cent per mile, Bad Experience.sherry T.

When I picked up the truck the back door was froze shut and I had to pry it open. There were 5 dozen pads all strewn around and a dolly. I had to fold them all and drive the truck up to the office to return the items so I wouldn't be charged. Not impressed at all!!Michael B.

The back of the truck wasn't swept out/rope from previous person was left in the back and tied up. The guy that helped me at the beginning didn't explain paperwork with me or how much to fill gas up. I got the truck and it had almost 3/4 left but the guy never told me I didn't have to fill up all the way so I went and filled the tank up all the way so I wouldn't be charged for not doing it. He ran out of truck paperwork so ended up giving me trailer information but writing the truck number and how big it was in the sheet. Very disorganized.Chad T.

My husband booked a 26 foot truck only to be told hours later it was unavailable and that we'd have to drive an hour to pick one up. We then waited 2 hours at the Ace Hardware because the contract terms were causing software malfunctions due to the weird change of locations. The truck was disgusting on the inside. At this point, we had no way to get another truck from them or switch to a different company due to our moving timeline. Then, my husband had to drive without air conditioning in 90 degree weather. His legs felt like they were on fire and he was dehydrated after driving that way for 640 miles. Now, after leaving several messages for â€œLukeâ€, who is apparently the only customer service representative that can help with our issues, and waiting on hold for a combined 2 hours for the 4 calls we have made to leave the messages, we still have not heard back from him. This company does not care about its customers. Since we have already turned in our truck, they have no interest in speaking with us.Justin A.

I went in to get all paperwork done, and he gave me my receipt, brochures, etc. When I asked him if he was going to hook-up the tow dolly and drive my car into to it so my son and I could see how to do it, he said"No. You have someone to help you." I was shocked and my son did figure it out but I was very dissatisfied with the u-haul agent. I was so glad I had asked my son to meet me on the 16th at Grady's Ace Hardware. Because i couldnt lift the tongue of the tow dolly.Connie C.

Employee at Rockford entered information incorrectly. When vehicle was returned I was charged more than double what I should have been. It appears the employee entered it as a round trip, when it should have been a one way. Employee also entered for same day return, when he was told 24 hour rental.JOSEPH O.
I was unable to make my reservation online and was prompted to call. When I called I stated, "I tried to make a reservation online, and it did not process," only to be transferred to the MAIN MENU 4 times. This then ended in me being hung up on. When I called again I was transferred, yet again, to the main menu 2 more times. Each time I had stated the same thing and was told I was being transferred to someone who could help me. Clearly not. There were several issues with the computer and my reservation. It took me and hour and a half to check in and drive away with my truck. The individual, while sympathetic to the length of time it took me to check in, didn't seem to know what he was doing. I was also towing a car behind the truck. I had called the pick-up location ahead of time to see if someone there could help me load my car onto the trailer to ensure I did it correct. I was told yes, someone at the pick-up location could help me. When I got there and asked for help, they told me that they could not help me because then they were liable if something happened to my car. Very frustrating.ASHLEY N.
Cabin fan switch seemed to have 2 settings: off and hurricane. Grady's Ace Hardware was GREAT! All in all, as good an experience as can be had driving a 27' truck!F Michael M.
