The location was lovely. But the online booking abs subsequent follow up from head office that is terrible. I received a webpage letting me know my â€œreservation is confirmedâ€ then multiple people tried to call and change it. Several cancelled it, without my agreement, and several large trucks sat at Wilson's, in Saskatoon, unused, a cause they were intended for out of town trips. I needed a truck for two days, and booked a second day with Penske trucking. They were fantastic to deal with. If you want happy customers, create an online booking system that is accurate. A call to convince customers they should accept less time, so you can squeeze in more bookings, with people strongly coached to use language that directly contradicts your website, abs follow up email, is highly frustrating. Marketing, tech, and customer service need to get on the same page here. This was incredible frustrating.Jodie R.

First of all I did a reservation at the stillwater car wash location, when I went to pick up the van , I was told it was at grey ave carwash. It was almost 6pm and wanted to get there before they close. So phoned this location and the guy I was talking to did not want to give me the information I was asking him to give , I wanted to get the correct address for that location. As if I was talking to a deaf , he hang up the phone and I called few times but he did not pick up. Anyways I found my way to the location and he was very cold talking to me , I have to ask him what is going on after I have stood there for sometime and he is not talking , I was getting confused, after I asked him what's going, then he said the computer is not working . Ok fine then when the computer start working, he used his personal phone to take a picture of my driver's . Both front and back . So I questioned him why you have to use your personal phone to take a picture of my driver's , I kindly asked him to delete my driver's information from his personal phone . I have never seen this before. Anyways after everything was done he went to the van, and gave me the keys and this us your van , I was don't have to walked me through? He just said this is your van and he walked away from me . This guy is a tall Chinese guy I'm not sure if what he did was the company policies and regulations toward their customers. The office is in the front of a car wash, and the noise from the wash makes it difficult to do business. Staff was not overly friendly or helpful. Almost like I was imposing on them to spend my money. A little more appreciation or even just common pleasantry would go a long ways to building a solid reputation. Online check in with 24/7 pick up (as advertised on the website) was NOT available here so we had to wait til after 9am to pick up. The line up to pick up was nearly an hour long despite only 2 people being ahead of me. Staff were not following local health restrictions including mandatory masking (one employee actually pulled DOWN HIS MASK to cough into the air instead of inside his mask) and other health code violations were happening in the few minutes that we were inside the building. The vehicle was not clean and we were handed 2 sanitizing wipes so presumably they had not sanitized the inside as well. I won't be returning.Brittany A.
Staff was late to start off the day. Used an 1/8th of tank of fuel and got charged $25 for a â€˜fuel charge'. Was not told there what the fuel charge was. Assumed it was by how much gas you use. Not sure if this is normal but I went to the closest outlet to rent a truck about a week in advance. The day before I was to pick up the truck I'm informed that I had to pickup the unit from a location that would be about 9 km farther away. At the end of the rental, after driving it back to the point of pickup,I'm informed that there is an extra mileage fee?!? That's a good deal for someone. Also I picked the truck up at a â€œcar washâ€ and the windshield was covered in dust and bugs??? Plus I had a very hard time understanding their English and the mood/body language made me feel like I was bothersome, maybe this is normal???Darrel I.
Service rep was very good. However, my reservation times were changed without my knowing. The way to recieved the truck was changed without my knowing from 24/7 to hand delievered. Worst of all there was no vehicle for me. Rep said the truck had not been returned as of yet. I waited 21/2 hours past original wait time and then took a much smaller vehicle. I was disappointed with the customer service at this location. At the start of the rental he did not do a walk through or show me the engine or take note of the gas meter. Then when I returned it, the gas meter hadn't moved but he said I would have to pay 18$ to fill the gas up so I went and gassed it up. But then he still charged me! I was very frustrated.Joshua L.
I can honestly say that I had the worst customer service experience in my life renting a uhaul truck for a couple of hours yesterday. First of all, I waited a long time to be served, was ignored and my questions went unanswered. I had questions about the charge vs the estimate and the milage. I even made a comment to the clerk that this is the first time I am renting a moving truck and I am not familiar with the process, I need a bit of information and a bit more responsiveness than just a cold transaction. I also inquired about the hours of operation of the carwash to return the vehicle, he pointed to the hours of operations on a posted note taped up in the store. I have never, ever received such a cold shoulder in a retail environment. I was and still am legitimately stunned! The truck was not parked in a parking stall but rather at the end of the Parkin lot. The clerk commented that I will not find the truck in stall since the previous customer did not park it according to instructions. I did not feel comfortable backing it up the haul from the back of the parking lot due to angle in which it was parked. The carwash owner would not address my concerns at all, he ignored me, I waited for about 15 minutes waiting to be assisted or communicated with. The clerk told me that the owner does not want to address my concerns and he is the "boss". Finally, I was fed up and requested a refund. The clerk was not able to process my refund, he tried for about 30 minutes complaining that the Internet was slow. He offered that the refund would be processed through a mailed cheque. I refused this because it did not seem legitimate. I paid electronically, I should be refunded electronically, this is standard retail practice; I was not sure why a multinational company such as uhaul could not provide an electronic refund same as every other retailer/service provider out there. After about 30 minutes of what I can only term as "painful struggle", I turned to one customer who was also waiting to rent a truck and asked him for help. I explained that given the angle of the parked uhaul assigned to me, I am not comfortable backing out of the parking lot, I asked if he is comfortable driving large vehicles if he would help me out and back out the truck. The customer provided me with assitance to my concern which the carwash owner refused to even acknowledge. I am grateful to this customer, due to his help, I was able to go about my business. When returning the truck 3 hours latter, I was met with the same dismissal and coldness and was stiffed on the millage charge. I should also mention that when returning the truck the engine light turned on. I turned the engine off and tried again, the second time the engine light did not turn on and was able to drive the truck back to the carwash. I am grateful that my delivery was local, given the engine light, I call into question the maintenance and regular servicing of the vehicles. I can sum up my customer experience as cold, impersonal, unhelpful, stressful and disrespectful. I am regretful for having had such a negative experience, it impacted my day in a very unpleasant way and I sincerely hope that this was an isolated incident and not a reflection on the uhaul company values and fleet.Rozalia K.

The guy at the front when I returned the truck had a horrible manner. Sitting in his chair tells me "inside" as if he was my boss. I asked displeased, and unsure what he meant. He goes, "park it inside" bewillerd I asked there is stop sign, then keeps telling me "inside" I said I would then after transaction becaue I was cold. I just came in the office. But he demands go right out and "park inside first" I didn't appreciate this guy because, 1. I front of the "inside" it had a "stop here" sign. 2. I used to work at this particular Uhaul location. We would take the key from the customer, check the vehicle with the customer, then park it in appropriate/planned spot. 3. He doesn't even come out to check the truck with me. He waits until I park the truck inside the warm office then when I came in, says, "key". No please no nothing then goes out himself. There has to be both client and the uhaul person to do the check, not alone. 4. It is a bigger parking lot. The customers don't always know where to park especially when there is a stop sign at the gate. 5. He does not know how to say "please" and "thank you" I do work for you. Do not demand things from the customer. Do your job or at least clearly explain where to park and be polite. It's not my first time to rent a truck from this location. So poorly trained employee. I received the worst customer experience from U-Haul 605 Gray Avenue Saskatoon Canada SK. I was insulted and the U-Haul representative Guhyung Lee made a racist remark to me. I could not believe how this company is still in business after reading the negative reviews of other customers with similar complaints. I always use U-Haul and this location was the worst; I tried to explain to the representative that from a customer's point of view, he should be more professional and at that point, I realized that professionalism is not what this individual is about. I am disappointed that this company can still represent U-Haul with the many complaints that I read after my experience. I write to tell anyone in Saskatoon looking for U-Haul, do not go to 605 Gray Avenue and to U-Haul Corporate Office, please address the many concerns of the poor customer experiences at this location. It was the worst experience that I have received in my life and I am truly disappointed that I was not the first and probably will not be the last. Trailer was missing lift handle. Right signal inoperative, tow chains sere hooked up incorrectly by representative, tow chain had repair link on one side that was left open, was not a complete closed link, it was a "C" link. This was a huge safety issue. I was not even issued a rebate or refund. Had to repair signal myself to get to the destination. It was the only trailer they had.Andrew R.
I requested a 17ft Uhaul at a specific location at a certain time for a certain amount of hours and I was given a 15ft uhaul at a different (further) location that wasn't open until later in the day and was only given 7 hours to use it rather than 10. I also requested contactless pickup but I had to go into the small shop in order to pay and give them all my information over again. I was very disappointed in the whole experience.Alana W.

the fee for mileage is not fair and should be watched carfully. I tried to rent from a store close to me but was told to go else where causing an additional 15 miles to a local very small move. Which at over a dollar a mile caused me to pay 20 more dollars for miles i did not need.Brad S.

My reservation was made by Uhaul for an online pickup for a location that Uhaul would then not let me do online pickup for. The location was able to do it, but Uhaul did not have them marked as Open, even though they were Open, and the four people I talked to on the phone were not able to help.Jayme A.
Sorry this location is awesome. The problem was with your dispatch. We kindly picked up trailer at this location even when we booked it for the Millar Avenue location. No complaints with thiis, but we were told to return trailer at,this location, but when we tried they refused to accept so we said we are leaving there. Tthe employee got me to talk to dispatch then. She was arrogant, disrespectful, rude,threating me. We just return from getting my,elderly sister from northern Sask. to senior care. And we are also elderly so we dropped trailer at car wash and took pictures of this and they unhooked trailer etc. You need to learn the welfare not responsible to deliver your trailer to the next customer without notice or even a phone call. When I initially called to book the truck, I was told over the phone that if booked it for Friday pickup I would have the truck til Monday morning. With that information I planned my weekend of moving with friends and family accordingly. When I arrived on Friday to pick up, I was at that time, told to have it back the next day by 3 pm. If I would've been told I only had it for the 24 hours I would have booked it for the weekend. Paying for the weekend was not an issue at all. The false information caused me and one other person to work late into the night just to get enough done so I could finish the next day. I was not happy with the customer service because when I mentioned I may not be able to get back by 3 the next day I was told that I can't have the truck at all then! Added stress to a move that was already stressful due to the current pandemic that is going on also. Not that easy to find people short notice to help move.David R.

Since the U-Haul location was in the same building as a car wash I would assume it would be very easy to clean it before the new customer pick it up. The exterior was very dirty, as well as the interior. Also the weather was warm, and so the snow was melting and driving on the roads required car wash wiper fluid. My vehicle was empty and the employee had to run out to buy some to fill the resevoir. All these things should have been done the night before. Other than that everything went well.Mark M.
