Trailer we rented was in need of maintenance, rental agent was helpful.

The truck we were given, the battery was dead. The lady had to jump the truck for us to leave the lot. I asked her about getting the truck to where we were loading and she said the battery should get enough juice in it by then and we should be fine. We ended up having to jumpstart the truck 3 different times in order to use it. We also did not break the seal on the blankets we ordered but when asked for a refund on these it’s like she didn’t know what to do. No refund or anything on the faulty truck either. This place lacks serious customer service and needless to say we will never ever be using them again.

The female employee was pretty good, the male employee was not. They might want to explain that you pay insurance everyday that you have the truck, that apparently, it's not a one time fee. The guy was rude about that. I would not have purchased the insurance if I had been told it was charged everyday.

In March 2019 I moved to Cheyenne, and by the time I dropped off the truck and trailer at Good Guys, I was LATE, like maybe 2 weeks late. It had been a while since I'd moved, right? So my estimates were a little off. Anyway, I don't know if it was the folks at Good Guys proper, or if it was the folks they were talking to on the phone (maybe to some regional U-Haul rep), but whoever it was, they wiped clean about 95% of my late fees! I was pretty happy about that, and, as a result, I gave the Good Guys folks a 5-star review. That's the preface. In June 2019, a few months later, I was checking prices for a rental van that I was going to need for about 4 days, because I was going to go camping with a bunch of friends, and I was going to be bringing a lot of equipment, and so, determining that U-Haul had the best prices I could find for the long weekend in question, I decided to call up my buddies at Good Guys! No problem! There were absolutely no problems with the van. I'd put a lot of miles on it, it was clean and well-maintained: zero issues. After I returned back home from my trip, I decided to make good use of the van while I had it, and I took about 15 full bags of months-old lawn clippings (y'know: soupy, decomposing grass) to the transfer station before I dropped the van back off. Once I was done with that — again, zero issues — I recalled the favor which the rep from Good Guys had asked of me before I returned the van, which was that I sweep it out, to make sure there was no debris left in the back of the van. Still grateful to Good Guys for the many late-fee dollars saved previously, I swept out the back of the cargo van with a good stiff broom. With respect to the decomposing vegetable matter which had just spilled out onto the floor of the back of the van, it didn't "sweep out" very well. In fact, it was kind of "ground in" to the little grooves which exist in those rubber/vinyl mats they put in the back of cargo vans. It stunk. A lot. It stunk like grass which had been rained on for 3 months while being confined to a partially open trash bag. This wouldn't do. I couldn't drop off the van in this condition, especially when my buddies from Good Guys had asked me to bring it back clean. So I took it to a car wash, and I washed out the van. No big deal, right? After all, the insides of those cargo vans are DESIGNED to be washed out. So when I finally returned the rental cargo van back to Good Guys, it was tip-top, in pristine condition. As my "buddy" climbed in to the driver's seat to check the miles and gas level, he asked me, "What the hell happened?", or maybe it was, "Why the hell is it all wet in here?" Also, he MAY not have ACTUALLY said the word "hell", but it was definitely there in his TONE. The thing is, I thought they'd be pleased, so I was pretty bummed that they were upset that I essentially did what they asked of me. I dropped the trailer off after they closed. I followed the directions that the man gave me about going down the alley and pulling between the trailer and truck there. I could not pull in because there was not enough room. I could not back the trailer into the space either, I was afraid that I would damage one of the vehicles. I would tell people to go to the location on Central instead because they always tell me to leave it in the lot and they park it themselves.

A cleaning charge was levied. The cab had a very few crumbs or pebbles on the floor, but otherwise clean, and certainly as clean as it was when I picked it up. The back of the truck and trailer had been swept and blankets folded and stacked. Would be nice to know the reason/justification for the charge.

This has nothing to do with the pick up location. I expected that if I reserve a 20 ft truck I would get a 20 ft truck not a 15 foot truck.

I was told that if I put a card down for my payment that I would be garunteed the price I thought I was going to get but instead when I went to pay it was $200 more. I am very unhappy !!

In March 2019 I rented a 20 foot U-Haul truck to perform a 1-way move to Cheyenne, Wyoming. When I dropped off the truck at Good Guys Auto Sales, not only were the staff friendly and helpful, they were able to save me a HUGE amount of penalty money, given that I was approximately 2 weeks late in dropping off the truck. Were they Good Guys? Yes, they absolutely were!

You can be more like Budget, who I will be using from now on. They were able to tell me in advance that a 26' truck would not be available. UHaul, on the other hand, acted as though there would be. AS a result I had to use a 20' truck and couldn't get everything out, so now I am having to pay a storage ee for the stuff that got left behind and trying to fin a way to go get it. I am really pissed with Uhaul and will never use yo again. Nor will I recommend you to my friends. And I am sharing my really negative experience with everyone online.

We had a minor misunderstanding regarding pickup time due to holiday hours. But the employee then made an impressive effort --above and beyond what could be reasonably expected -- to rectify the situation ASAP. I really appreciated that! I would come back here again if I'm ever in need.

Robert was very accomodating getting us a last minute U-Haul trailer. He assisted hooking up the trailer to our van and made sure we were safe for our trip. He offered Safetow/Safemove insurance and was not pushy or making us feel obligated to get insurance. We paid the quoted rental rate, insurance and fees/taxes as quoted. Upon returning the trailer Robert eagerly assisted with backing the trailer and equipment safely into its holding spot. Robert was very kind to both my husband and I. Very happy with the service!!

Remove Uhaul from this location all together. The man that rented me my Uhaul was the actual worst customer service person I have ever met. He immediately tried to talk me in to an older more used Uhaul because he was concerned I would damage the new van and demanded I get insurance which I had already done online. He was demeaning, sexist, ageist, and literally said "you can go somewhere else". The only reason I didn't go else where is because I specifically needed that size van. If this is any indication of how Uhaul treats it's veterans than I suggest we all take our business elsewhere.

When I picked it up the worker was very rude and difficult to work with. The equipment was fine but I ordered the appliance dolly for one day and got charged for it for two and I recieved the utility not the appliance, however when returning the truck they were very pleasant. They ended up not charging me at all for the dolly but when I was there to pick it up originally he couldn’t do anything about it.

Quit using Good Guys Auto Sales as a Uhaul option. They were rude and unprofessional. When I set up a reservation, they told me 5:45pm. At 5:41pm on my reservation day, I got a call from Charlie (?) asking if I was ever going to show up for my reservation and that I was late. I told him I was on on Lincolnway (about 3 minutes away) and that my phone said it was 5:40pm. He rushed me through check out, did not conduct a walk around to check the condition of the vehicle, the current mileage, or the fuel level. He had me sign (on assumption) for all of those things. This became a problem when returning. Even though the mileage was 5 miles different from where we started (I was moving one mile from my current place), he said that the gas gauge was not on Full (which it had been marked). We didn't see the gas gauge move at all, but he insisted that we fill it up to "full". We drove to a nearby gas station and it took 8 gallons (8 GALLONS!!) to fill it up. It took more gallons to fill it up than miles we put on it. I have to believe those 20 ft trucks get more than .5 miles/gallon. We were frustrated ($23 of gas for 5 miles), and voiced it, and the guy checking us in got aggressive, standing up, moving towards us aggressively. We'll NEVER do business with them again, and will tell others in Cheyenne about our TERRIBLE UHAUL experience. If you guys want UHAUL to have a better brand, then you shouldn't let people like Good Guys be part of your team.
