I did not ask for moving blankets or a moving dolly, but when the guy opened the back of the truck to show me, there was a dolly and a huge mess of moving blankets all strewn around the truck. He said I could just use them. We had to move the blankets out to have room for our stuff because our movers had their own dollies and blankets. When I got ready to return the truck, I noticed a sign that said there was a $25 fee if the blankets were not folded, so I folded them all, but then I was late with the truck by 30 minutes -- not surprising since there were probably 30 blankets in the truck that we messed with all day moving them out of our way and then folding them. On top of that, two of the blankets were wet, so I had to just spread them out to dry. The guy that checked me out lacked enthusiasm or customer service attitude. He was ok, just not what I would call service oriented.

Had requested a 15' truck with a dozen pads. When we picked up the truck, the employee said we were ready to go. When he opened the back of the truck, there were no pads in it. He opened the truck next to it and found some pads, and then found a couple more inside the store. He placed those in the back of the truck we were renting. When I counted them, there were only 8. He couldn't find any more, so he gave us a $5 refund. At home, we loaded the truck, and were going to head out the next morning. It rained over night. When we arrived at our destination to unload the truck, we discovered that several boxes were wet on the bottom, that had been stacked in the area above the cab. Luckily nothing inside was damaged, except for a few paper items. We then noticed water stains in the cargo area, where it appeared leaks had been occurring for some time.

Horrible experience renting u-haul from this location. When originally scheduled the u-haul I had wanted to rent it from a different location but was sent to this location due to the truck I wanted only being available there. Scheduled my pick up time to be 1pm on 8/3/18. Arrived 20-30mins early to find that the location was not open. The lights were off in the building, open sign turned off, and door locked. Hours on the door indicated that is should be open and there was no sign anywhere else indicating why is was not open. Tried calling the number for the location and the phone just rang and rang. Ended up having to call u-haul and was on hold for 10-15mins before finally getting a hold of someone. Explained the situation and was placed on hold for another 5 or so mins. When the lady came back on the line she indicated that the location apparently had a power outage (the rest of the strip the location is located in all had power). I again asked how I was supposed to get my u-haul and was placed on hold again. The lady came back on the phone and said the individual working that location had "left to get a something to drink since the power is out and would be there in 3mins". When the individual finally appeared inside the store we were able to get our u-haul. If we wouldn't had arrived 20-30mins early we would not have received our u-haul on time as it took 20-30mins to even get a hold of the proper people and get someone to show up. We were on a time crunch with moving with our schedules and if we wouldn't have been able to get our u-haul on time it would have caused major issues. I find it absolutely ridiculous that nothing was done to notify people/customers that the location had to "shut down" for the time being and that nothing was done to accommodate for the issue.

How about not having the customer try to guess how much gas to put in to get it where it was when we received it. It should be done the same way as rental cars do their gas.

I had to wait because only one person was on duty. Then I had to wait for the person to get the truck ready around back. The I had to wait for the blankets to be loaded. Because only one person was there, I had to figure out where and how the truck controls were. I was not told in advance that the gas was not part of what I had to pay when I checked in the truck. The one person on duty was friendly and competent; like most of us, he could only be in one place at a time. The drop off did not go well at my new location. Because it was not U Haul owned, I had to leave the truck in an alley because the people working there were busy with other things related to their business. DO NOT LEAVE A RENTAL AT A NON U-HAUL FACILITY. I was not told there were 4 blankets missing. I found out when the bill posted. I was charged $26 for this. I only used 2 blankets during the move. I was tired from the move and inadvertently left them in the garage. No one called to ask about the blankets. They just charged me. I WILL NEVER USE THIS FACILITY OR U-HAUL AGAIN. Most of my issues have to do with the drop-off location and billing.

Location was hard to find. I was unaware that is was part of another business and all the trailers were parked behind the strip mall. I had to help put the first trailer on my truck due to the angle of the parking lot only to find that the hitch was improperly functioning. The angle of the parking lot was downhill on the second trailer that the Goin Postal employee attempted to put on my hitch. Consequently he couldn’t slow the momentum of the trailer and the hitch ran into my bumper and mangled the license plate, frame and cover. I told the employee that there’s damage. He said nothing. I guess he felt that it was my problem to deal with.

On the u haul contract there was no phone number or name for location. Location is behind the buildings out of eye sight. Found by accident. Very very unhappy needing to hunt location after a long move.

There were a variety of trucks and supplies in the back of the store, so you have to go in to see what they have. The store is a one stop shop sort of place so they have everything you need for moving and mailing!

Their hours are extremely limited, so you have little choice but to use the mobile rental checkout. The trucks are all in the back of a strip mall so it's hard to find. The lockbox for key retrieval is broken and neither the automatic code nor customer service's provided codes worked so the had to send me elsewhere to pick up a different truck. What should have been a 10 min pick up, took over an hour.

The uhaul truck was great. George the manager was great. Mattie one of the clerks was horrible. Her customer service is lacking. She was condescending and disrespectful. Although the location was convenient I will never use it again and will let my friends and family know not to use it also. I will also be filing a complaint with the company she works with.

The online self service is the worst interactive application I have ever dealt with. I waited over 30 minutes for the online verification and then whoever was talking with decided to stop talking with me and then I ended up calling customer service and they finally helped me. The drop off location was the wrong drop off location and the pick up location on this website was wrong also. I picked up from lee's summit and dropped off in lee's summit. I set everything up online and it went downhill from there. If I ever need anything like this again it will be in person or with another company entirely. This self service needs a major overhaul and made the experience very bad for after hours.
