I feel a local use was expensive. 19.99 day turned into 194.00 very misleading. I was informed of email check out only to return after seeing email to close out my rental. I kept uhal until 11am not whole day. So if I had a choice I may not choose a misleading company again.

Louis Godfrroy, the UHaul agent I used, was extremely helpful and got the tow dolly ready very quickly . I would recommend the Godfroy Garage in New Lebanon, NY to anyone who needs a UHaul item.

The 10' box truck I rented did not have snow tires. I think it is irresponsible of UHaul to rent trucks in New England without snow tires.

The car pickup site I agreed to was in Pittsfield. After the fact I was sent over the mountain to Godfreys. The U-Haul rep at Godfreys was rude and unhelpful on the phone. He was not there at pickup time. I had to ask him three times how soon he would arrive. He tried to charge me over $50 more than the agreed to price. This whole experience left a very bad taste in my mouth and it's highly unlikely I will use U-Haul again.

Even though I reserved the truck 1 week before moving, the truck I reserved was not at the agreed pick up location. The only option was to take a smaller truck. I had to make 2 trips in order to accomplish the move. Each trip was 45 minutes, therefore, I drove for over 2 hours, not to mention the extra money spent on gas. U-Haul made my move a hell. I will never use UHaul again. I hope that this is not another " see how we care about you customer service ploy" and actually gets read.

They charged me a cleaning fee after I called UHaul to notify them when I opened the door to the box it was filthy probably due to improper use at the pick up location. I was told I wouldn't be charged but just looked at my account and saw an improper $27 charge

I did after hours drop off, which was uneventful since I didn’t have to rely on anyone else, and took care of it myself.

Fix your call centers. Hard to verify reservation. Pickup location was not where requested, was told only 8 min away from pickup request however had to drive 28 min to get unit. When I needed to change credit card info since my original card was stolen took 25 min and a hard time simply changing card so yo could get paid! Probably won’t use uhaul again.

I rented the van and it smelled awful inside!!. It was clean but covered in spider webs. I feel as though I was over charged ESPECIALLY since it's advertised largely on the side that it's 19.95. I had the van for 3.5 hours drove 87 miles. I paid 92.66. I was told it would be 19.95 for 4 hours, at .59 cents per mile, plus tax and a 1.00 environmental fee. The guy estimated that I would drive 120 miles. If you're going to charge me mileage ahead of time then you should mapquest my to and from and get the accurate mileage not guess. My total should have been 78 dollars. I'm disappointed to have paid 104.66 that includes the gas I used. I appreciate the service since I did need to move however I didn't expect it to cost 3x more then what you advertised it for.

I asked for a location 10 minutes from my house, was given one 45+ minutes away. (i'm aware that what i asked for was not guaranteed, but 45+ minutes away?!?!) When I called ahead of time, the location didn't have the tow dolly i'd requested, so I had to change to TWO different locations. One with a tow dolly, the other a nearby truck. It was a huge pain in the ass. To answer the question: don't do the same thing again.

This was not the location that I was supposed to pick up at... My original order was never entered into the computer. I had to drive two hours out of my way to get this truck when I needed it.

I'm a very small person, and this vehicle(10') was not only easy to drive but extremely comfortable. All of the amenities were working perfectly, and I dont have any complaints about the truck or the location I rented from.

I made the appointment to pick up the trailer at 4:00 PM. When I got there, no one was there but there was a handwritten sign that said "be right back". Thirty minutes later a truck pulls up, drives right past me standing in the lot, parks, gets out, doesn't even acknowledge my presence. Walks inside and shuts the door. A few minutes later I decide to go in, he is sitting at the desk with a grumpy face, doesn't say a word. Doesn't say "Sorry I kept you waiting", Doesn't even say "can I help you"? Just sits there and barely looks up at me. I say "I am here to rent the trailer". He does paperwork in silence, goes outside, hooks up the trailer, and says "all set". Finally got on the road almost an hour later than planned. Oh, and he did a lousy job of attaching the safety chains, they dangles so low they kept touching the road, and the rubber stoppers weren't even on the hooks, they could have bounced off the hitch. I had to take them off and redo them properly. Poor, poor, poor. Won't rent from this location again.

Inspect and replace tire strap webs. One on the right side was shorter than the left. It was cut or broken. I had to go to store to buy a new one. Lost 2 hours travel time

Your rep called and tried to get me to drop off at an inconvenient location instead of this one which was only a mile away from where I unloaded. I resisted and she did authorize this location. But I found the attempt annoying.

This location was very friendly and helpful. I had to drive a long ways to get the size trailer I needed because there was not any near my location. The owner here was helpful and accommodating to me. The only issue I had was corporate uhaul. They didn't just charge me $20 extra a day like they told me. It was actually more like 40 with all their fees and penalties. Very falsifying.

The truck we got was old and was a gas guzzler. There should be a standard for how old the equipment is. Manager was nice, though. Glad to support a local business.

When I call the location that was located 1/2 mi up the st from me, to make my reservation. I told them what truck and day i needed it for. There were no problems and everything was set. When I arrived to pick up the truck i needed, I wasn't in the system for that location. Come to find out i was to be picking up the truck 10 mi away out of state. I was never told that i would be a different location. and 10 mi both ways adds up to $20.

I was charged for insurance in the contract, which was not explained to me. In fact, when I turned in the truck to the Bennington Vt location, I was informed I was charged $126. for insurance. I did not need this insurance as my auto insurance covers this. I was told to request a credit back on my credit card which I do herewith.
