I have used Godfrey Motors many time and will continue to use them, your agent there is an awesome guy who goes above and beyond, however, in the last few years the quality, functionality, cleanliness, and overall condition of Uhaul equipment is horrible, to wit; appliance dollies are so rusty that they mark up appliances, electrical issues with trucks (only the wizardry of your agent got us on the road), windshield wipers that were completely disintegrated, a trailer that hadn't been cleaned by the prior person... I hope you get the idea, you need to step up your corporate game Uhaul!

Find a better repair service for your equipment. Truck smelled like a nursing home. Door stuck and ac cutt in and out. I'dl3. Funny at stop lights a few times. Engine light cane on and went out.

I originally booked this trailer through West Des Moines. They were worse than useless. I booked it a month in advance, checked on it two weeks in advance and thankfully, went to pick it up early in the day, to be told the only way I could have it was to drive to Marshalltown, which I did. Not what I needed to do on a very busy day. WDM was not customer friendly and had great difficulty reaching them by phone - all calls went to call center. Should have dealt with 2nd Avenue in the first place.

I dropped the trailer off after hours. Left a voicemail. Called the next day to confirm if everything was ok. No issues. Very good service and helpful. I would absolutely recommend this location to anyone.

Great experience at the Godfrey Motors location in Marshalltown, Iowa. Very accommodating. We picked up our truck and then decided it was too small. I called Godfrey Motors back and they said we could just bring it back and get a larger one. It was quick and we were on our way. Thank you!!

The rep was very nice and fast with the check in on the return of the truck. I have gotten a few u haul trucks from this place. Every time the u haul rep has been helpful and easy to deal with

We drove 100 miles to pick up the truck and there was no truck in the location as promised. We were so worried that we wouldn’t get a truck at all. After waiting for about half an hour, luckily we got a truck from a different location in the same town. However the truck wasn’t reliable that it wouldn’t shift climbing uphills. We could only drive 20 mph during those sections crossing Rocky Mountains. It made our move so much more stressful and slow than it had to be.

I really appreciated the ability to make my move on time with the help of a U-Hall truck from Godfrey Motors Inc. in Marshalltown!

First of all, the location I chose was changed due to availability, the local coordinator was less than polite about the inconvenience it was causing. Then, we were provided with an incorrect address for the new location. When I went inside and was told it was 2 miles down the road, my Uber had already left and the people at the office rudely told me to walk to the correct location.

He answered all my questions. Was very helpful in setting my mirrors and telling me how the payment will work on my card. I would rent from there again.

No one was there, did after hours drop. Give us mileage for the destination of our trip instead of to your drop off center. Quite honestly, the dealings with your national/ regional offices were part of one of the most frustrating headaches I've had in a long while.
