The employee at Gil's (not Gil, but I forgot his name) was extremely patient and kind. His customer service is better than any UHaul location I've been to (and he's not even a direct u-haul employee). After leaving the location after drop-off, my friend said that it's good to know that this location is a good place for UHaul rentals. Thankful for his help!

Uhaul needs to do a better job of ensuring proper maintenance to equipment. half of the lights on the trailer which I rented were not operational, and the trailer rode extremely rough even behind a heavy 3/4 ton diesel pickup which has been used to haul much heavier loads with a smoother ride.

I was really disappointed that even though I put the tank at the same level as I received it by putting in $15 the app still charge me $20 for gas. I hope I can get a refund for the $20 which you can also confirm with the service manager that I am correct. 4136874971

I requested 2 furniture dollys, and they only had a record of 1. Also, it is NOT ok for you to add things like moving pads, only so I have to remove them. That was on the uhaul site, and had NOTHING to do with Gils Auto. I should not have to double check what I have ordered!! That's on corporate!!

Fix the app! It would not load on pickup spent half an hour waiting to verify. Then when I dropped of the Rental it started the return and then it just stopped.

The mileage was wrong. The cab floor was dirty. The windshield was full of pine needles and twigs. The driver side door lock was broken. The self check out app is not good. It asked me for all my info (drivers license), twice!! Even though I had already entered it and it was under my profile. The location was pitch black and it was sketchy. I couldn’t even take pictures or properly examine the condition of the rental.

Whoever designed the mobile check-in/check-out on the app needs to go to jail—it’s that bad. There was so much that was required to check in that should’ve been available as soon as the reservation was made. Pictures of your license (at two different steps). Names and contact info of people who can vouch for your identity (creepy), proof of residency (why the f*** would anyone ever think to have that on them??!!). It asks you to enter the odometer and fuel meter reading before you can get the keys to get into the vehicle. My reservation was for 2:45 and I didn’t leave the parking lot until 3:45. I shudder to think what would’ve happened if I couldn’t get cell service at the pick-up location, which is another thing whoever designed this process never considered. The ONE positive experience I had was with an employee at the pick-up location, I wish I got his name. He saw us sitting in our car for half an hour struggling to check in and stayed late after closing the shop to help get us going.

My beef with this rental was with UHaul, not Gils Auto Repair. After putting us in a truck we recieved a phone call 1 hour later advising us that we needed to return the truck and swap for another - due to UHaul. We were 15 miles away with a loaded truck at that point. Really messed up our day.

Kindly have instructions for pickup sent immediately the order is placed especially for off-hours pick up when there is no one to speak to onsite. And the instructions should have detailed steps on what to do. I was almost frustrated trying to pick up the truck I had ordered because I arrived at the right on time instead of earlier. Thanks to another pickup center location which I called and were helpful. That said, it would be a good idea to have a number to reach during off-hour periods.

I have no issue with Gils I have an issue with UHAUL, I ordered a 10' for Saturday June 24th I rec'd a confirmation. I arrive at 11 am to be told there was not truck available. He had a 15' one I asked if I could get that one for the same price he said he could not alter prices in computer, I asked if I could get the mileage waived he said he could not do that either. I needed to call U-Haul, I really had no choice as we needed to move my daughter and I had 3 other people coming to help. Truck was bigger than we needed.

Gil's did a good job getting through the complete mess of Uhaul's awful, confusing, incomprehensible "software" that Uhaul forces renters to use. The people at Gil's were great, and I will patronize Gil's, but NEVER rent a Uhaul from anyone ever again. The online rental process is near impossible and just makes a mess of things.

There were issues with the reservation that caused a delay at pickup and the attendant didn't know how to resolve it. Then, the reservation window was changed from 2 days to 1 and so I was late returning the truck. One of the attendees called to get the status and was the most rude person I've ever talked to on the phone. He was incredibly condescending, sarcastic, and flat out disrespectful. I will actively avoid and tell others to avoid this location.

The check in/ pick up process was quite lengthy since my reservation was canceled for an unknown reason. Customer service was attentive and fixed the issue quickly. Would recommend an in-person pick up vs. mobile if possible. Will likely make the check in smoother. Overall, satisfied with equipment condition and size of vehicle.

The service was ok but the system was down and we had trouble doing the check-in. So I had booked the truck for 2pm and was only handed the keys at 2:24. This made everything much more stressful, so much so that I forgot to refuel. Otherwise, it was ok. The truck was quite beat-up but worked just fine.

The truck was in poor shape. The driver’s side sun visor was broken off, the passenger side door’s handle was torn off the door, which made it very difficult for my wife to close the door from the inside. In addition, the check engine light was on for most of the return trip, which was stressful because we didn’t want to break down on the side of the road. Furthermore, the truck’s cab was dirty and smelly and steering wheel was sticky. It was apparent that the truck needed a good cleaning and some major repairs. On a good note, our front office agent was extremely nice and very personable. Excellent personal service.

When I arrived to pick up the van, I found out that your system had sent texts to my landline asking me to upload photos of my driver's license. I don't have cell service at my house, which is why I gave the landline number. Fortunately, the owner of the shop was able to use his cell phone to photograph the license and upload the pictures to my order. You need to offer the alternative of receiving messages via email rather than by text. Not everyone lives in a place with good cell service. When I returned the van I was told that I would receive my receipt by email. But when I got home, I had at least 6 emails from your system with a copy of my contract but no receipt. It's now almost 24 hours since I returned the van and I still have not gotten a receipt, nor has my card been charged. The owner of the place where I rented the van was great. Your automated system was not.
