raul hernandezThe online check in and confirmation was easy. (they even made an earlier time exception for me when I called the 877 number) The location is easy to find and parking was good. The issue of getting the key from the box was a bit tougher than I was expecting. I walk up with my confirmation and see two locked key boxes and a drop box. I open the app on my phone and stumble a bit trying to see what next step I was to do, (they pre-verified my credit card and email) says to take a picture of my CDL. Now it wants me to scan the back? (all while stooping on the ground with my wallet laid out on the asphalt?) Now it wants me to verify the truck number. (walk across the parking lot and find it) Now it wants to verify the licence number (walk back to the truck again). Now they need me to give them a number to someone that they can call to verify what they just verified. So I am now pacing around the lot waiting for them to call my girlfriend (who's now waiting at the storage place wondering what's taking so long and gets blindsided by an operator asking questions by a U-haul rep). We clear that up and I get a code finally on my screen. I dash over the key box and the hockey puck shaped lock is pretty high up for a short guy and the digits read upside down. Trickey but not a deal breaker geting the four digit code to read on the lock, but the hidden little lever to open the shackle is suck! I pull and cuss for a few minutes and finally got the key!. Truck was super clean and ran great, I drove 13 miles total and was back a few hours later. I park it and clean up, lock the cab and walk back to the drop box. My paperwork confirmation had no instructions and there was no instructions posted so I drop the key in the box and head to my car to leave and check my computer when I get home. Now before I drive off I check all my U-haul emails of ad's requesting dollies, blankets and boxes to see what i need to do...nothing. I now check the 80 page "Terms and conditions" email and after scrooling for ten minutes i found the link to check in!! Says to take pictures of the dash, fuel gage and all sides of the truck...I already locked it and dropped the key!! Frustrated I drive home call the 877 number I had and the U-haul lady was so nice, she called the furniture place and they got the key and checked in for me. The reciept came shortly after that with zero surprizes on the bill. So some of this is probably "User error" and doing this process a few times has to get easier but my suggestion (unless I missed the instruction) would put something on the "confirmation" paperwork of what the "check out" process is. And fix or replace that lock..that was tough.

Arturo vallejoIt was a bad day I picked to move! I made a reservation online to pick up a 15-ft truck at 9 am. When I went to the store, which was not open until 10am. I was supposed to get a info of combination lock to obtain the car key but U-haul network was down! I waited until I got help when store opened but they could not help either since U-haul server was down. Unfortunately, I'd hired a group of professional movers to help moving and they started charging their services at 10 am. Eventually, I got a truck out of the store at 11 am. I have to pay extra for the movers. It's not the store's fault but U-Haul should have helped to relieve for the extra I have to pay to the movers.

julio alcantarI had a hard time finding if at first since it is not an actual U-Haul facility. I was looking for or expecting to see a U-Haul sign. Maybe having a sign or something that makes it a little more clear where the drop off is could be helpful. I wasn’t told it was called Genesis Furniture just “U-Haul Neighborhood Dealer”. Parking lot and facility was nice and easy to pull into and clean, just was initially unsure of exact location.
