The truck wasn't very clean at pickup; looked like it was untouched after last customer dropped off. A little disappointed, especially during this period of Covd, it should have been at least wiped down/disinfected; I made sure I did before, during and after. It also seemed that the fuel measurement could have been a little less cumbersome. I would rather pick up a truck with full tank and ensure it's topped up on return. Othe than that, I am happy with the product I get from Uhaul.Craig S.

Be sure to read everything and know that you're not actually paying for the unit but for the KMS/Miles driven. Our charge went from $45-56 to a whopping $304. Not impressed with the smoke and mirrors in the advertising. Should have given my hard earned money locally, but went with U-Haul as I was under the impression it was going to be cost effective. Lesson learned for the future. I will not be using U-Haul again. Very unhappy with how much everything cost.Chelsea L.

The uhaul was very dirty upon pickup and we weren't provided with the furniture dolly that we had paid forFraser K.
I reserved a 10 foot truck and they didn't have any. The man told me to take a 15 foot truck instead. When I asked him how much the difference would be he simply said 10 dollars more in total. I asked him if he was sure and he reassured. He completely forgot to mention it would cost a dollar more per kilometre. This has been a terrible experience as he failed to give me the truck I reserved.Jose S.

The location attendant was very rude and tried to scam us for some extra â€œgas moneyâ€. He did back off after we showed him the proof and some pictures. He tried to scare us by being rude but got out of the situation by being honest. Never going back or recommending this location again. The company Uhaul, is great though, no complaints about them, only good wishes.Jaspreet G.
Communication between U-haul and this location is absent. I booked an 12 foot trailer, only to show up and be told I booked an 8 foot trailer. The rep didn't speak good English and did not understand that I needed a 12 foot trailer, and my confirmation clearly showed a 12 foot trailer. Nothing but frustration with U-haul. No one to help you lift the trailer onto your truck. No jacks on the trailer.Alexander P.
This was a terrible experience. They did not check to see if it was attached properly to our truck. We got charged an extra deposit charge extra for paying with debit even though they have my credit card on file. I booked a 26 foot truck at another location in airdrie for Monday Aug 3. I asked over chat and called a bunch of times to make sure it was ready for 330 that day. Yup yup good to go. Get there and the truck is there and the office closed at 12 and no one called me. I was moving and get screwed over.Cache T.

DANGEROUS! Broken electrical wiring, so no brake, hazard or signal lights on trailer only 12 kms into a 500 km drive. The police politely allowed us to go and buy the required wiring. Then it was discovered there were NO working hydraulic brakes on the trailer at all. Oh, and the "safety" chains and S hooks had no way to connect the trailer to truck as they had been compromised. Had to buy new connectors for the chains as well. Finally, the safety inspector advised us the hitch connection was "stripped". A ten hour drive took three days - time spent repairing the U-Haul (U-Pay) trailer. Unbelievable and very DANGEROUS!Victoria D.
Unfriendly. Unhelpful. The trailer I was looking to rent had a burnt out tail light, that I thankfully discovered. When I notified the the lady working, she acted as if it wasn't a problem and the trailer worked fine. Only when I told her I didn't want to use this trailer, did she say she would give me a different one. When I asked her for new paper work so it had the correct unit number, she scoffed at me because it was an inconvenience. I've rented from Uhaul several times, but never from this location...by far the worst!!!!Ryan W.

We reserved a 26' truck. We showed up to receive the truck tonfind out there was none available. We were forced to use a 15' truck to move a 4 bedroom household. We had to make several round trips to complete the move. Uhaul charged us for every kilometer which ended up costing us double what it would have had we been able to get the 26' truck that we reserved.Andrew V.
Don't recommend they can pick up the truck in a different town, then charge them three times the amount quoted for mileage. Extremely unfair.Derek K.

Ensure that the equipment is checked and working properly( 4 marker lights were not working and one of them was falling out of its socket) The chains were actually tied in a knot and not just twisted up. The brake chain was attached to the safety chain( (my wife had to ask the staff connect the trailer up) There were no rubber chain locks on the chains (as I have noticed these on 5 previous rentals) Called Uhaul direct to book and the agent took down the right information and she read it back to me. Went to pick up the trailer and found that the duration time was not added properly. That location could not rent the trailers they had, out for three days, not available. We made them find another trailer and that was at the Balzac location. This latest rental was horrible, very unorganized and to say the least stressful. I originally stopped to Fuel my truck to pickup furniture and thought oh a uhaul would be so much easier...first quote was 40 I had the truck for 2 hours he charged me in mileage and it ends up being 170.00 plus 25.00 of Fuel I put in...pretty ridiculouswillis M.
1. Gas station charged me $7 gas for 25km usage, which I think is a lot. 2. My uhaul bill says net paid $40.11, but my credit card was charged $44.46 ? Dont think ill ever rent a uhaul or refer a friendd-souza P.

The worker was rude and did not care to help me. the truck was not properly inspected nor was the paperwork properly completed. Nothing matched the paperwork and the worker said he could not change anything. Tried to push me aside to help other customers without resolving. Also, I booked way in advance and was told it would be at my selected location. Then the day before, I was told that i had to pick up my truck at a further, inconvenient location that added fuel costs and mileage on my personal vehicle as well as the trucks. The first customer agent i spoke too was rude and inconsiderate. Based on these experiences, I would rather haul my stuff on my back rather than utilize uhaul services again.GERALD L.

There was one woman serving customers and the U-Haul line was ignored while she served at least 15 other people who arrived after the U-Haul customers. Basically, they needed 2 people people working in the store, one for regular customers and one for U-Haul customers.Norman M.
The unit was a bit dirty on the outside and inside. I found it a bit odd there was only 1/4 fuel in the tank. It makes more sense to me to have a full tank and return it full.Josh H.

The gas level was incorrect on the contract it showed 1/4 tank but was actually almost empty. I went back in and they adjusted it. The kms shown on the vehicle were also not was stated on the rental contract. The clerk that gave us the vehicle mentioned that there would be a credit on the file from U-haul as the tank was empty, when we returned the vehicle the next agent said he didn't know anything about that and we would have to call u-haul. To top it all off we received 3 printed versions of the contracts and on the back of those papers were 3 other renters private information including address, dl, telephone and email address. This needs to be addressed by head office as it is a major breach of privacy and security.Maico T.

The Truck wasn't ready, its had no gas and both the cab and cargo area was dirty. During covid-19 I thought that to the very least the cab would have been cleaned. The wipers didn't work passenger side mirror was stuck and wasn't able to adjust. Over all the rep was kind, but he threw me 4 sets of keys and told me to pick a truck. The trucks that had gas in them was parked behind other units and he said he couldn't move them. The truck that was available was filthy and had zero gas. I know I shouldn't expect too much From uhaul as its a cheaper rental, but I feel the basic common needs weren't acceptable. I won't be renting from your company again. I'd be willing to pay more for safety and better customer service.Chris R.
Woman at the counter went out of her way to be rude and dismissive. Dropped off on time and can price it with time I purchased gas at their location to fill it passed what I had when given to me. All around bad service and I feel like I had 40 stolen from my visa for an extra day that I did not deserve. I dropped off on time. Rented and paid for 24 hr usage only but was charged an additional day saying I dropped off passed 7 pm which I untrue. I will dispute the charges. Send the ignorant woman at the register the bill for extra day as she didn't speak English and did her best to make it difficult for me. They took forever to get me going. The employee kept leaving me to process people coming into the gas station. It took over 25 minutes for me to get the keys. The tank was completely empty once I did get get the truck when I was told that there was half a tank.Manuel H.

At pick up the Uhaul system could not complete my checkout due to a system bug. It was quickly made my problem by both the store clerk and the Uhaul support person I called to help me. The truck was extremely dirty and muddy from the outside, where I had to clean up your truck without charging UHAUL for my cleaning service. It was NOT safe to drive this truck due to the muddy mirrors and widows. I would like a reimbursement for my cleaning service I provided. U-Haul has been for years my truck rental choice, now I am very disappointed.Rami S.

The trailer was parked on the side of a busy road, pointing downhill on ice. The trailer has no jack. The wheels were not blocked and the trailer and chains were frozen to the ground. This was a super dangerous situation.Dustin L.

Hello, the van only had 1/8 of gas in it and the paperwork that I signed had a different level of gas on it. The km showed in the paperwork given to me at pickup were wrong! The van vas super dirty from the outside and ok from the inside ( had to broom the dust out from the cargo area! I Had to remove snow from the van ( front windshield, front lights, back of truck to have the tail light to be visible and the licence plate to be visible). When I picked up the uhaul and I was doing a walk around to make sure that the van has any unreported damage I opened the big back door for check the status of the cargo area and a lot of know fall on me because the van was not cleaned for me to be picked up! I used uhaul multiple times for work purposes and this was the worse experience that I ever had! One thing that I forgot to mention it's that the lady that worked at the store ( she was super nice) she sent me out with 3 keys of different uhaul for go and check witch uhaul it's Accessible, so I was walking around their yard and trying the 3 different set of keys in all the trucks. What I'm thinking it's that if someone was not aware of gas level or km count they had to pay 120 extra mile on their bill and probably 30-40 litre of gas that they didn't use. So I don't know how it's responsible for the inconvenience that I had to deal with, but this was not fare to me because I'm a regular customer of you guys.Jagdeep S.

Couldn't find me in the system even though I presented a confirmation number. Clerk had to create a new booking and told me he was unable to apply my credit which I used when booking online. Told me I needed to contact uhaul direct. The truck was ok, no windshield washer fluid and windshield was dirty. I contacted uhaul who informed me he can Indeed add the credit and they would contact the area manger to walk him through the process, which I don't understand as a authorized location why they don't have there reps trained? This isn't the first time I've had an issue renting from uhaul. When I returned the truck there was a lady who asked if I filled the tank I replied it was filled to where I got it when I picked up. I had pictures to show before and after. She tried to tell me she applied the credit yet reviewing the receipt it was not credited and she ended up handing me $10.00. I'm extremely frustrated that renting through uhaul is so difficult when-picking up. I wanted an hour of my time between picking up the truck to sitting on hold waiting to talk to someone at uhaul which cut into my schedule. I am seriously questioning using uhaul as I've had two bad experience in a row. My family has used uhaul for many years in Ontario with no issues and I seem to continually have issues here in Alberta and your authorized dealers. Extremely disappointedNicola O.
