Sharlinda S.This location is horrible! I received the wrong truck and everything i asked about i was told this location didn't off that! I used 100 miles bc i got a too small Truck! I called several times about the rental and was told on Friday by Andrew that a cautionary alert was placed on my account to receive free miles bc of me receiving the wrong truck! And i didn't! I'll never rent from Uhaul again and will be closing all storage accounts

Linda H.Better signage. We got there late due to traffic issues. Because we were late we couldn't check out the truck (unmanned location). After a few calls found the location operator. Called numerous times and went to an endless ringing number. Found the business that operated it was close by, drove over and was able to get my truck.

Michael W.The inside of the truck had dried mud all in it and it reeked of cigarettes. The back was also dirty. There was less than an 1/8th of a tank of gas in it, so I immediately had to put gas in it and also get charged for gas. The loading door was hard to open and close.

MISTY S.I was charged a fuel fee. I brought the truck back exactly at the same level I picked it up. The pickup ticket had one “dash†above 3/4 marked and I brought it back just above 3/4. There is no “dash†above 3/4 on the fuel gauge. I was charged a cleaning fee. I assume it's because the box wasn't spotless. There was no trash inside the box. The drop off location didn't even check the truck when I dropped it off. If they weren't satisfied with the cleanliness I could have made the box spotless in about 1 minute. And for far less than the cleaning fee.

Deborah S.The truck didn't have hand truck nothing to cover up your furniture . With know hand trucks make movers job very hard. I had very heavy furniture, washer and drying. And they had to bring heavy furniture down 9 flights of steps. I felt very sorry for them i have very heavy furniture . Know one sure have to had gone through this somebody sure have check truck to make sure everything you needed was on truck.

KAVITA B.I recommend you upgrade your website to include a way to change turn in locations. We could not find the first location then went to the North Pinehill location & it was no longer available due to a January tornado. I tried to call to change & couldn't get anyone on phone then tried later to do live chat but no one answered. Disappointed in that situation. But the truck was clean & we are thankful we could use it.

CONNIE W.Gardendale drop-off location was a much smoother experience. We parked the truck on the lot, and took the keys inside, and gave it to them, then we got a call the next morning as we were headed out, asking us where we dropped the keys! I said we turned them in at the counter at the flea mall. He apologized and said he didn't recognize it was us, because we turned the truck in a day early, and to have a good day. Ok. So how about refunding back the money we didn't spend on the 3rd day, and going out and checking the number on the truck with the number on the key tag to make sure they match, and give the customer a receipt that it was accepted, and turned in on time? Not that hard! I would also know my inventory of vehicles to rent at a glance, by the key returns.

Ronnie J.I rcvd. Text to check out after i had left location since i had dropped off 15 min.early(just at closing time). Left key in box i had gotten it out of. Thankfully everything checked out ok next day per email. Service was excellent both times i have rented from the flea mall location in past month.
Nancy S.This location failed to have my rental ready when I requested. I had a confirmation email from Uhaul that the time I requested it ready was accepted. THe pickup location failed to review their records and therefore I could not pick up the rental when I needed it. THis cost me $200 dollars I had to pay helpers to stand around and wait for two hours. Uhaul said they were going to provide me a credit of $50.00 but I have nit received that credit.I expressed to Uhaul the $50.oo credit was not adequate. Uhaul said they would look into providing additional credit but I have not heard from Uhaul to date. Douglas T.I ordered extra equipment to help with our move and it wasn't in truck when we picked up . Off course it was a online order soo i called the 1-800 number and they stated the next area closest to me with the equipment I needed so I had to drive across cities for there waited in line forever just to finally get there and the young lady said she didn't have that in stock she doesn't know what they were talking about Over the ohone extremely frustrating I asked for more time to be given since I'm ruining up and down the road to get the things that should hsve already been in truck and they told me they couldn't extend it
Tamara M.There should be better communication between pick up and drop off locations and between people who work at the same locations. If I did not get an item on pick up that I was charged for as a customer I do not want to hear “I was not here when you picked upâ€. I'd like the customer service rep to at least try to reach the rep who was there to verify. The phone number for this location gave a busy tone so I wasted a drive there (as instructed by drop off location) to receive a refund for a dolly I did not receive.
Edward W.The contract had the incorrect amount of gas. I had to get that corrected after starting the Uhaul to verify mileage and gas. After loading the Uhaul and getting on I-20, I noticed the left brake light and signal light was not working. I called the 800 number and held for 20 mins, then was told to call roadside assistant. I had someone to fix the problem because of my time schedule with movers. I couldn't waste any more time on the phone and waiting for roadside assistance. Uhaul should have been checked before renting to next customer.
vanessa C.This review is for the U-Haul main office, not this pickup location as management is up to the corporate offices. I reserved a truck, dolly, and moving blankets 1 month in advance 2 miles from where I live at 8am as I had scheduled others to help me. My reservation the Huntsville AL U-Haul office called me with a day before the move was at 10 am, and a 45 minute drive from where I live. The pickup location forgot to put my dolly in so I had to go back for it, and said they were out of moving blankets because U-Haul had not sent them any. Completely unacceptable. I'm not sure what the point in reserving a truck at a certain time and location a month in advance is if that equipment will not be there when the reservation comes. I have previously had good experiences with U-Haul but this was a huge let down and inconvenience. I will be using another company the next time I move.

If I had known I had to have it back by 10 the day before I was suppose to return it then I would have just kept it until then.

After leaving the cars in the truck and leaving it unlocked I basically just had to leave it there and hope someone didn't steal it. It is insane that this location does not have a drop box at the main entrance or anywhere else that can easily be found.

Paul M.I was very disappointed that my preferred location and time was not honored. If I had not come back in town early and arrange pick up on Sunday instead of Monday, I would have had to drive 20 miles out of the way and wait 2 hours to pick up the truck. This is unacceptable. When I make a reservation 3 weeks in advance, I expect to pick up where I requested and the time I requested.
