First, the check in process was more than frustrating. Due to my cell phone carrier not working barely at all in this location, my phone wouldn't allow me to check in. The woman there was excellent and helped me check in using her phone. When it was time to get the trailer unhitched, the man there was awful. He said he didn't want to do it because it was raining. When he finally agreed to unhook the trailer, he told me where to drive to. When I got there, he said I had to back it up into the slot where it would go. As I've never driven with a trailer before, it was taking me a long time to get it right. Finally, my sister got out of the car and told him that this wasn't going to work and can he just unhook it and walk it into the slot. He said he could, but it's awkward. When my sister replied asking him what he wanted to do then, he walked over and started unhooking the trailer, then easily slipped it into the slot. While the woman I dealt with was wonderful, he was a complete jerk. The check in process could be made easier, too, especially since cell phones will not work properly in certain areas.

-Total millage was rounded up to the next tenth. -Truck was parked in the mud, got stuck, and had to be towed by a guy who seemed to appear to have been bothered to do that. -When I called to address the issue, the lady at G&M answered, and said I had the wrong number, then would pick up and hang up every time I tried after that initial call. Overall, the truck was great. But terrible customer service.

I live in Buckingham County and had to travel 45 minutes to Kents Store to pick up and 45 to return it. I started looking at Lake Monticello and they had none. Then i was being sent to Charlottesville about 65 minutes, then i called U Hal and i was told Kents Store had it and that is where we drove to. The only thing that helped us get over the long drive were the wonderful people there at the garage. They made us laugh and turned a annoying situation into a nice visit. You should thank them for I was really getting ready to use Pinsky until they made my day. Marylou Pullen

The attendant was very slow and not customer oriented. The office is not in a professional setting. It's more like a junky bedroom with a desk.

We were not sure where we were supposed to park the truck as there are no signs. We asked a gentlemen at the adjoing gas station where they are normally parked and he had no idea. The uhaul place was closed so we made our best guess at where to park and dropped the keys in the drop box.

Pick Up Experience was way too slow and unorganized. Took close to 45 min to complete paperwork and get trailer. People were nice but not trained properly or something that resulted in delays. Trailer was full of leaves and debris. I did not complain as after taking 45 minutes wanted to get on my way. I have a photo of trailer when I picked it up should you wish to see for yourselves.

Very poor. No heat. Lights where on for air bag to be serviced. When brought to the managers attention his reply was it not my responsibility. There not mine. Wow.

My appointment to pick the vehicle up was at 3:00, but it was closer to 4:00 when the U-Haul employee arrived to rent it to me. No apology. I was sent into the lot to connect the auto transport to the truck myself with the offer to let her know if I need any help. No instructions. The auto transport was sitting in a mudhole. I noticed previous damage on the truck and took pictures of it lest I be accused of causing it. I opened the back and saw there was a dolly and some moving blankets I hadn't asked for, an indication that the truck hadn't been inspected before my rental.

I only wanted one day, one way rental. I was told if we didn't keep it both days, we would be refunded for one. Not true. They also entered the starting milage incorrectly. Sadly I didn't verify at pickup so I've been charged tho we stayed below the milage. Lesson learned. Will not use Uhaul again & will always double check behind other companies.

I reserved it near my work so I could pick it up right after I got off. well the guy wasn't there at the time I reserved so I had to call several times then wait for him to show up and then apparently the customers from the night before didn't drop it off at right location so I had to drive and extra 20 min. out of my way to pick it up. then where I wanted to drop if off was 10 min. away from my new home but no I had to drive and 30 min out of my way to drop it off at the right location since I had to do a new reservation. so between me paying for gas and stuff it was ridiculous and it wasn't even clean when I got it.

Had to wait 45 minutes to pickup. Person who could issue the trailer was not there and only one person could hand out the trailer.

When I went to pick up my uhaul it was stuck in the mud the owner tried driving out of the mud hole and kicked a lot of mud on me and in the process almost hit me with the truck

Owner is a nice man. Only problem I had is that he forgot to put the furniture pads in the trailer. There were 3 on the trailer, not the 12 I paid for. I would like the charge for the pads to be refunded.

I was told if I dropped off the truck at a certain location I would have my truck for 50.00 dollars less but, never got my discount.

I was charged for 2 days of rental when I returned the trailer in less than 24 hours. I had it from 8:30 am to 6:30 pm. I contacted customer service when I returned the trailer and I was assured I would only be charged for 1 day but my credit card has not been credited.

We were overcharged for our rental and despite contacting them we have not received a reply.
