Berdina ConnollyThe fuel handling is very poor. I was explained the system, so I expected it to be clear. I was informed there was "3/8" of a tank of gas. This is ridiculous in itself. If someone is taking a vehicle, it should be already filled. When I got in the vehicle and eyed the gauge, it wasn't on the "3/8"th mark, but close, so I assumed that "close" was what was expected. I didn't take a picture. Why would I at this point? After my usage of the vehicle, I proceeded to refueling the vehicle. Now I have to guess(?) how much to put in. Pump, check, pump, check...ridiculous. I returned the vehicle only to be told it is not exactly on the 3/8th mark and I would be charged $35. Well, it wasn't when I was given the vehicle. I was told I should have taken a picture. What a system! I then had to proceed back to a gas station to add more fuel, but then of course went over the 3/8th. But i "certainly would not be given a refund." This is the most absurd system ever. If the vehicle was full when I took it, it would be much easier to have it full on return. No guessing on how much to add. Very disappointed in this transaction.

clifford eolittThey charged me an extra $35! Said the I haul truck did not have the same amount of gas as when I picked it up. I made sure the gas was 1/4 full the same as when I picked it up. They will not return the $35 and charged me more for gas!!! Will never use them again
JANICE ELIZABETH WALTERSWe booked the uhaul at b and b storage in harebay . It was confirmed the day before the truck was there . Drove to the location and nobody was there neither was the truck . We ended up having to drive a hour extra each way to gander location to get a truck
Natasha WisemanThe locks used on the vehicles for after hrs pick up are horrendous. They are very difficult to open. This is the second time I have rented from this location in 10 months and it’s the same problem. Moving is very stressful and having to deal with a stubborn lock does not help. I would have gladly chosen another location but it is to far away.
Michael Joseph DwyerI would recommend this location because it is the only one in Gander Newfoundland. There were no TV or art boxes in the store and there was no packing tape in the store. I needed both. And, although I had rented a 15' truck, the only size available to me on pick up was a 26' truck which increased my cost by $140 on the ferry from Newfoundland to Nova Scotia and likely increased my gas cost by 20%. I was really not happy with that.

Robin BrownU-Haul changed my reservation to a truck twice the size..! The location was NOT able to do anything about it...saying that they did not have any other trucks. I saw 2 vehicles sitting on the lot that were smaller. When I asked for a discount for the extra fuel that the bigger truck would use... they told me that was up to the receiving location... All in all a bad experience .!
Thomas SanderThat last question I would have to say — “ the location is fine but having trucks or covered pull trailers on site is a problem here , where we live is hub of Gander Bay Area, a very large area. We reserved 2 trucks but could only 1 when time came , the second one was not. Available when we went to pick it up . Closest place they said to get one was in St John’s …… 4 hrs drive , each way , away!!!!! Or Lewisport ….. an hour to get the & an hour back . Not good enough ,,,, need to have more trucks or covered trailers on lot at all times . Might not like my comment but we were in a horrible situation when truck reserve was not available when needed ….. hope you had a wonderful long weekend, cause we certainly didn’t. MY opinion …. Stay safe .

DON BARBOURThe lock was super hard to align letters to put the password and open. Spent 30 minutes jiggling and tweaking letter alignment. Couldn’t get lock to work proper on return so I locked key and lock in truck only to be told after, there is a drop box for key. I was informed the rental location had to call a locksmith to get the key, which I find very hard to believe, that a rental location doesn’t have a spare key. Sounds pretty stupid to me if they can’t predict this might happen!!!
Jeffrey WeeksThe only issue I had was the website originally let me book the vehicle for 7:30am. But when it came time to confirm the reservation it said it wasn't available til 9am. Other than that, top notch service.
