When I arrived the keys weren't in the lockbox. The owner met me outside with them so I didn't wait long. I reserved and paid for a furniture dolly and a moving dolly and neither were in the van. I didn't have time to wait, so I did without them.

Equipment was somewhat clean and worked well. But I rented the equipment for I e day and stayed in Thunder Bay ON. Y-Haul billed me for a trip to Florida. Ridiculous! It has been 1 week and U-Haul never sent me a proper bill. And they misspelled our last name.

I reserved and paid for a 15 foot u-haul and flatbed for my suv to drive from Kenora to Thunder Bay ontario. Approx 500kms I reserved a month in advance to be sure I had a reservation. The day prior to my scheduled pickup they called to tell me there was no uhaul for me in Kenora and the nearest pickup location was in Dryden Ontario over an hour and a half away and they simply didn’t have a flatbed. I said that doesn’t help me I can’t leave my vehicle in Dryden. And they said “would you like me to cancel your reservation?”. I had to drive for almost 2 hours round trip to get a u haul. Pay for the gas and mileage. Leave my vehicle in Dryden. Drive 5 hours from Kenora to Thunder Bay then the next day drive with someone 7 more hours round trip to get my vehicle because uhaul is a disorganized mess. Would never recommend. Terrible customer service.

paid for 2 dozen furniture blankets but they were not supplied, informed the operator about it and was told they would try to refund the price, never was refunded. the truck and trailer were both dirty when picked up.

Asked male if I could park along store, posted customers only, he said yes. Van had a small box of furniture cleaning stuff in it. Arrived back to find pylons with "City of Thunder Bay" stenciled on them, so I can only assume they stole them, all over my car and a note not to park there. Then I get charged a $25 cleaning fee.

Agent was helpful and polite. The vehicle was not built for long legs. Wouldn't drive long distance with it. Leg would be cramped. The cab of the vehicle was not clean. Could have used a vacuuming. The price was right. Thank you.

The .99c per mile can mislead people in Canada...not realizing that a mile is appx 1.6 Km so th actual cost is about $ 1.60. It works out to be the same but a lot of people don't understand the difference between the two so think the actual cost is .99c Km. This can fluctuate considerably with fuel costs in Canada.

Noticed a crack in the drivers side headlight housing. Noticed that there was no windshield washer fluid at all. I was also disappointed that there wasn't a fire extinguisher but I dont know if uhauls typically have fire extinguishers.

This location was unexpectedly closed when I arrived in the middle of the work day. I hate to hold that against them without knowing any more detail because maybe there was a medical emergency or something and that would be totally understandable. Whatever the reason, it was pretty inconvenient for me, given all of the difficulties that I had recording the truck's condition while picking it up, and the fact that the check engine light had been on for half the trip (the roadside assistance line told me to go ahead and keep driving it, which was fine, but it would have been nice to be able to inform the drop-off location about it). In the end I just followed their after hours drop-off procedure (which was prominently posted and pretty simple) and braced myself for Uhaul to call and try to blame me for the truck looking completely different than their photos of record for it, or for some kind of engine damage, or who knows what. Thank god that never happened; they just emailed me a receipt/confirmation/etc the next day and that was it.

Did not receive the dolly or moving blankets I requested. Had to be downgraded to a smaller truck which increased our costs. Truck was very filthy ...like a thin coat of dirt and sand. They may sweep trucks out but no one is washing them. Doors on drivers and passenger side kept giving warning they were not closed even though they were closed. I will rent from this location again as I do like the workers there (all very nice) and it's close to my house. BUT they need to mop out dirty trucks especially when people are using them to move swede couches and several beds.

The vehicle smelled like urine and had what looked like feces on one of the walls in the back cargo area. None of the doors were locked and I suspected that maybe a homeless person may be using it over night. Extremely disappointed in the experience. I usually use a different location bu for some reason the readjusted my pick up location.

Your service let us reserve a vehicle that didn’t exist, and then when your customer service person called me to change that they let us book it for a time that didn’t exist (the place was CLOSED and did not allow for mobile pick up even though that’s the reservation we made) and we didn’t get our vehicle when we needed it. I won’t use Uhaul again.

We rent a uhaul truck every week. over the last 6 weeks ive had THREE cancelations the morning of my reservation. I have called to receive the "$50" incentive for reservations that weren't held and have received NO CALL BACKS... that's insulting to me as Ive called several times and after EACH of the "missed reservations" I would like to receive the incentive that was offered. I'm going to be posting a VERY POOR review as well as call better business bureau regarding your "fake incentive offer" for missed reservations. DON'T offer it if you aren't going to pay it out when your dealer doesn't come through. I was told after my last call that a check would be sent to me regarding most recfent cancelation but that's not good enough. My first reservation was canceled due to uhaul needing to safety a truck last minute(early February) My 2nd cancelation was a truck that was not returned on time.. it was several hours late due to a customer who was subsequently charged $50 for late return...That should have went to me. More importantly.. I received NO CALL BACKS... We had to shovel out out truck after finding a shovel to use.There was a foot of snow on the windshield. The doors where not locked. The inside was covered in spills and took us an hour to clean out. The back was covered condensation and smelt of urine. If we where not desperate I would have left it. God know if anyone did a mechanic check on it. We were 5 hours behind schedule due to this. I have photos to prove it and wi be contacting the main office.

The man at the pick up/ drop off location was nice enough but didn't really seem to know what he was doing. The van stunk like sweat and there was garbage on the floor, an empty pack of cigarettes and spills all over the centre console. The van drove fine but the whole experience overall was just gross.

They were very confused by the order. They couldn't figure out that we had rented a furniture dolly, and it took some doing to get it. We didn't ask for or receive furniture pads, but were charged by them anyway. The vehicle was full of animal hair and smelled of cat urine. Still, it made our move a heck of a lot easier, so it was overall a good experience.

The access hatch for the fuel tank was bent and gapping open and held on by one rivet. The loading ramp got caught on in an ripped it off leaving it wide open and dangerous for my movers. Right reverse light was out. I booked the unit 2 months in advance and at a location at my end of the city. I had to drive the Uhaul an extra 18.5 kms, which I had to pay for, because the local move units come from only that location?!

They cancelled my truck because I did not pick up right away. Plus the truck had a tripping hazard in the bed of truck. Also the manage thought I was crazy for not knowing it was thier busy time. Very dissatisfied with your customer support.

The vehicle wasn't ready, in poor repair and not clean, smelling of smoke in the front, dirty and with small leftover pieces from the previous move in the back. The reservation was screwed up (showing 4 hours rather than 8 as I had requested) and I was subsequently overcharged even though gentleman who helped me had called me to assure me that the reservation had now been extended. The problem was not with attempting to provide good service, but the location was sketchy, the truck in bad shape and the billing did not reflect the quoted price.

No communication until I reached out.. was suppose to receive a call on the Wednesday to confirm my reservation/pick up.. location switched last minute.. and customer service representative was absolutely rude to my sister when they called her to confirm as a “alternate person” to verify my reservation. This knocked 30 minutes off my uhaul time. Won’t be using this service again.

My pick up location was at Woody’s Rv as my contract stated. I went there days before to make sure I was correct. The employee assured me I was too pick it up at Woody,s. After a lot of effort I was told to pick it up at Hardisty street. The employee there was very informed and helpful.

The operator at Hardisty was great! A pretty sketchy area of town, but he was helpful and awesome! Unlike the jerk at Gore St! Who you guys should consider cutting off as a uhaul rep! If I spoke to my customers the way he spoke to me, and if I spoke about my company the way he spoke about you, I would out on my ass before I knew what hit me! Just FYI!!

The truck I picked up was dirty to the point that I wore glives the whole time I was in it. It was obvious it has not been cleaned in months. The cup holders had scum and rocks in them. The floors had dirt, gravel and other unknown stains. There was a huge Thermos, lighter and wrappers inside. My guess, someone is using this for personal reasons. If I was not desperate for a truck after my first rental went to shit I would have just walked away.

When I walked into the building the manager was wearing a mask that only covered his mouth and not his nose. During a worldwide pandemic they should not be allowed and I will not be using this service location anymore and I will also tell everyone I know that this happened and that they should not use this service location either.

It would be great to have humans there during scheduled business hours. We waited 10min, then banged on the door, before calling customer service for guidance. Tell customers that there won’t be a human present if there won’t be and give them proper simple instructions on how to do the self check in process. Update the website. Website was extremely slow. We sat there for 30min trying to let it loud, retrying after 2-3 min each time. We finally gave up and drove to wifi to try to help it, then had to drive back. Lubricate lock with temperature appropriate grease so they don’t freeze up. We had a heck of a time warming it up to free the thing. Have a number on the door for immediate local assistance for after hours issues. Scrape off the snow if possible, especially on the truck identification number for customers who don’t know where to find the number. Change the gps location of the front door so customers don’t have to run down the road to the next building to be “located” at the “correct” location. It took us 2 hrs to finally get the truck picked up and on the go. It was very frustrating.

We had an awesome experience with the use of your 26 foot U-Haul truck. It was very clean and it was an overall good feeling to know that the truck was relatively new only 60,000 km on this truck, all around it was a good experience with absolutely no issues.

Be careful with the entrance door to the Hardisty St location. There is a metal strip on the door that busted my knuckle open and caused it to swell up right before my huge move.

Should not have been charged 20 dollars for after hours, especially when they close early on Saturday. I brought the trailer back just after 6 o'clock and i could have kept it until 1130 the next morning.
