When I arrived on Tuesday to pick up the uHaul, I waiting over 15 minutes in an otherwise empty warehouse until a pregnant woman that spoke very little English eventually walked over. She said that she didn't work for uHaul and was unable to help me. She eventually called a coworker on her cell phone and he was able to assist me. His name was Kumar Albi. He sent me a uHaul link to upload my drivers license to. The front and back side seemed to upload just fine on my end but Kumar said he couldn't receive the back side. This happened four times before he was able to make it work. I had also advised Kumar that I wanted to pay for the rental on a different card than the reservation was held under. I was instructed that this would be just fine when I made the reservation earlier that morning with Ian T. Kumar advised me to go ahead and give him that information. I asked if that could be paid in the warehouse and he told me to give him the information over the phone. I advised him that I wasn't going to give out my credit card information over a cell phone, in an open warehouse, by speaker phone. He could not provide any quite or secure location to do so. Sean got in my face and told me to give him the credit card information and that they are licensed and bonded and I had nothing to worry about. As such, I advised him to charge the card on file. This change went through, in full and immediately posted from my account. As I expressed frustration in the processes, another man, probably near 6'5" tall and a very large build, who appeared to be of Russian decent and thug like came out and started yelling at me and my uncle who had dropped me off to pick up the uHaul. I later found out, from Kumar that this man's name is Sean Broadnax. After hanging up the phone with Kumar, the pregnant woman provide me with the keys and sent me on my way. I went to look at the uHaul and found that it contained some damage in the form of scratches and minor dents. In previous rentals I've always done a walk around to note these items, verify fuel and odometer readings. None of this was done. As such, I went back inside and asked for the walk around. Kumar was again contacted and he sent me a link to complete this. I did that and noted that the odometer readings didn't match and that the fuel was almost empty with only 70 miles remaining on the tank. I uploaded pictures confirming my findings and went on my way. I had rented the truck from Tuesday to Sunday. On Sunday, when my husband and I arrived to return the truck the warehouse was again, empty. We sat around for at least 10 minutes before Kumar arrived to help us. The truck was returned clean and damage free. I expected to pay for additional mileage which totaled around $39. Kumar then advised me that the system wanted an additional $215 dollars for the rental and said that I did not pay when the truck was picked up and that they only put a hold on my card. My husband pulled up the bank information showing that the total for the rental was in deed paid, in full at the time of pick up at that I should only owe for the mileage. It was at this point that Sean entered the building again and I'm not sure where he came from. He was extremely aggressive and began to accost both my husband and I. He was verbally abusive and threatening. I advised him that I had a contract to do business with Kumar and was entitled to discuss this matter with him. He then charged for me and ended up backing me into furniture. I am 5'1" and he is substantially taller than I am. I sat down on a couch and told him that I wanted to speak with Kumar. He would not let us discuss this matter and kept screaming over the top of me. My husband, who is only 5"4" tall asked him to back off and tried to diffuse the situation. He became volatile with him and threatened to "knock his ass out". It was at this point that I got up and told him to back the F off. He again threatened to knock us out. I asked my husband to call 911 and another bystander called the cops. Both my husband and I were in fear for our lives and our immediate safety. The final bill was not resolved as Sean would not let Kumar and I speak. Kumar cowered under the threats of Sean. I asked Sean if he works there and I was told he is not an employee of Furniture Elegance nor does he have any ties to uHaul. In his own words, "I'm a friend of his (Kumar's) and I have a right to be here." My husband and I left the facility as we feared for our safety. Sean chased us outside taking pictures of my husbands truck and screaming profanities at us. This store, the staff, and the methods in which they conduct business are grossly unprofessional. I do NOT recommend this location. I would drive an hour out of my way to avoid ever coming near this place again.

Not clearly a U-Haul location. Just looks like a furniture store, in a rough part of town.

We could not find a key drop off box. It was frustrating and I did not want to be charged for leaving the keys in the truck. It's the company's job to provide correct drop off information, and that was not given to us. I waited for 30 min on hold to ask if it was okay that I left the keys in the back of the truck.

My drop off at Furniture Elegance was per the contract, but this location didn't have any signage to direct me and I actually passed by it a couple times looking for a fleet of trucks as a landmark. Once I found it, the staff there were quick to respond and very kind/considerate in closing out the contract. I wouldn't recommend this location to a friend because they have no inventory.

Our experience was perfect up to the part of return. Return office couldn't pull up our contract and took over an hour to turn in. Then I was told that the 3 day rental was set in though we only needed it for the day. Not pleased that a One Day trip cost $421.82.
