If possible, don’t send a customer from ithaca 1h away, moreover when the customer has made a reservation 2 months in advance for a one-way trip that will already involve 11h of driving. Please have one of your employee bring the truck closer. Or at least offer to compensate for the extra gas or even apologize. I had try to confirm one week in advance that I would have a truck in Ithaca, but your company does not allow that. I even had to contact the headquarters without any apology or solution. You just lost a customer. This was the last time I was using u-haul. Ps the waverly location was well run, they were the only one apologizing and giving us extra miles to make sure we don’t run over. So well done for waverly, just overall bad management at u-haul.

Although it is very convenient, the self serve option for picking up and dropping off equipment is kind of sketchy. I'm worried of being accused of theft when I don't check in and out with a live person.

Never got call day/night prior to rental. Received AM email day of rental with guaranteed unit at Waverly (30 miles from preferred location). Arrived and no truck was ready. After 30 minutes of waiting I called UHaul customer service and waited on hold for over 10 minutes. Waited one hour total for past-due customer to return truck which then needed to be swept clean.

Uhaul has placed the local dealers in a horrible situation. They are forced to do whatever necessary to make up for the total disconnect with uhaul central. Given this last experience it is likely we will NEVER rent from uhaul again. The issue is not with the local branches.

I dropped the truck off right as this location was closing. The gentleman working there graciously stayed several extra minutes and turned the gas pumps back on so that I could fill up the U-haul.

They took care of the mistake made by the az location and even called me about the mistake. Great communication. Thank you
