Went to location day before to confirm opening at 9AM. Owner showed up after 10, sat waiting in cold for over an hour. Messed up my appointment. The metal cage right behind the drivers head rattles non-stop. 4 hours of driving with that rattling was awful. I have rented vans from Budget, U Haul and Penske many times. This was awful.

zahir C.They did not want to take the return. Said to go to Coram. It's only 8 minutes away. Lie we picked this location and Coram is 30 to 40 minutes away. We had to be pushy ND insist My husband had to undo trailer himself and we had to lift off ball hitch. This location needs to be dropped. No a good representation of uhaul.

ALAN E.This was by far the worst experience I could have imagined. First, my reservation was set for 9am pickup. This location advertises hours from 9am to 6pm. The U-Haul representative did not show up until after 10am and only after I had repeatedly contacted U-Haul for assistance who also was of little help. Set back cost me over an hour of fee's to the crew I had helping with the move as we all sat around staring at each other waiting for a truck to load. Then, once the rep decided to finally stroll in, he gave us a truck which had a obviously flat tire on the inner axel. I pointed this out to him and he was actually trying to convince me to take the truck as is. Said you'll be fine as long as you don't drive on the highway. I insistently refused and made the mechanic plug the tire. I could not imagine someone trying to force knowingly defective and unsafe equipment to people. If I would have taken this truck and had an accident who would have been at fault? Seriously U-Haul? You spin the U-Haul cares motto but obviously do not live up to this at all. This location should NOT be a U-Haul rental. Its a real dive to begin with.

This guy was such a horrible man that he charged me max just bc he didnt like that I was upset. I was only able to make one trip w my move, unable to complete my move. The story of my experience is too long to write. Spoke w uhaul w my entire complaint. (They were very nice) i have to wait 3 days to hear from the area manager. I'm extremely upset & was not offered another uhaul from a different location. I have no source to move now, this service is unacceptable and I should be refunded my entire day. I should also have been offered another vehicle. Poor poor poor service.

Louis C.This owner is untrustworthy. First of all, I ordered online for a 10-foot truck and a utility dolly and checked in successfully and nothing indicated that the dolly was not available. However when I went there to pick up the truck and the dolly, he told me that he does not have the dolly. Since I needed it so badly, I begged him for help. He sent me to another uhaul station for it, saying that the owner there told him that there was a utility dolly there. I then drove there but the owner there told me that the first owner lied to me. I then had to drive another 20 minutes to a uhaul center to get the dolly. The story does not end here. I drove back to have the truck I ordered and he told me to record the mileage and remember how much gas should be returned, but never mentioned that I need to thoroughly clean the truck, so after I am done, I just broom cleaned the truck, to a status cleaner than that when I received the truck. Since I used the truck in a clear day for only 8 miles for a small amount furniture, no dirt or garbage, so broom clean should be good enough. But when I returned the truck, he did not want to check the truck and told me that he would take care of the rest. However, half day later, I received an extra $25 cleaning fee charge on my credit card. The amount of money is trivial, but the owner's character is ugly.

Matthew Z.l, the trailer was beaten up, 4 different tires on it, electric wires where damaged, right indicator didn't work, the second day lights stopped working at all, I couldn't get to my job early next morning because of no night time lights working, the only lights that worked where brake lights and left indicator, when I called uhaul the connected me to road assistance, wtf, and on top of to start of with again the trailer was NOT AVAILABLE AT THE RESERVED LOCATION, so I was send somewhere else.

ROBERT S.The truck was not clean as it had mail and potato chips in it. And when I went to start it the battery wouldn't was dead. He had to jump start the truck and I was told to drive it and then let it idle for a half an hour wasting fuel! I returned the truck with 3/4 tank as thats how much gas was in it when I left and I was told I would be charged. Don't think I'll rent from uhaul any time soon.

Dirt and sand on floor, dust in cluster. Luckily we brought wipes to clean it down. We were sceaved out. Would like some form of a refund...

Instead they keep trying to charge credit card for incorrect fees. Would not recommend. Dispatcher: Michelle Miller dixon was rude, confrontational and made up erroneous charges that we did not agree to. And made promises so that she could get a rental that we were still using but never followed through with promises so we still in the process of a dispute that no one has taken the time to call about.

DAVID W.Honestly the process of renting the van was smooth. Ralph's was acceptable although the person working there did not wear a mask both times I was there. Also, they were not open when I returned the van as stated on their website which in turn caused me to be charged for 2 days instead of one This was resolved with a phone call. I am still waiting to hear from u haul as I was also double charged for the mileage used. I have used u haul before and this seems to be a problem with u haul and not the place van was rented from. Still waiting
