Very bad service, the equipment that I rent did not have it and they charged it

This location should not be allowed in the UHaul network. -made me wait 45 minutes for a truck despite it being reserved 2 days in advance because they didn't process anything on their end. (They even said they were expecting me and chose not to prepare the truck until I arrived). -didnt give any paperwork or instructions on rental processes or to confirm vehicle condition -didnt offer insurance or any moving supplies -incredibly rude -changed my one way return to a return back to the original drop off location after I had pulled away. Fortunately the drop off location was able to fix it.

After waiting about a half hour for confirmation, the clerk at the Food Mart 4 U did not want to give the keys over because he was not sure if I went through the process of renting the U-Haul truck and insisted he needed to get confirmation with a “Walter.” Even having a U-Haul rep. on speakerphone confirming the ok he went on to make me wait another 10 minutes or so to attend to other customers. When he cleared the line of any customers the representative again told him the same and that she reached out to the very same “Walter” fellow but got no answer either. The rep. had to tell the store clerk several times his confirmation is not needed that the renting process has been completed by me and that I just need to be handed the keys. In the midst of all this the clerk would speak with 2 other associates in their tongue amused and smiling at me, adding discomfort to frustration, as I was on a time crunch which almost prevented me from completing the sole purpose of renting a U-Haul truck. The issue of waiting for confirmation prior can be overlooked as things do not always go as smoothly as one hopes, but customer service etiquettes should always be in play; for it can be instrumental in saving face. Overall, all around bad experience, from follow ups from U-Haul to really bad customer service at the convenience store where the truck was located.

I was not able to get verified in the app for over 30 minutes and then once I was verified, the store where I had to get the key from couldn't find my reservation although I had the code in the app. Overall, I was delayed by over an hour on a day where I needed to get a lot of accomplished. Overall, very unhappy with U-Haul.
