When picking up… There was nobody on site during the hours of open operation. There was no one there on site to help me check in. Ultimately, I waited almost 2 hours trying to connect with Matt mobile app and the U-Haul representatives over the phone back-and-forth trying to get a hold of the manager before I was able to get access to the van that was reserved. Nobody ever showed up the entire time I was there. I did receive help from the U-Haul company via phone to access the lockbox. Upon return of my vehicle rental, the manager on site had a flippant attitude and said he could leave anytime he wanted during the hours of operation and it was no big deal. I told him that Every legitimate business makes a sign on the door saying that they would be back shortly or something of that nature… To which he replied then I am not a legitimate business. That he can go to the bank or pull the weeds if he so desired. When I talked to the U-Haul representatives they told me that he should be on site and they could not get a hold of him during my time of need. Ultimately it caused me Much annoyance as I was dropped off and was left with a low battery on my iPhone trying to do everything I could to get the rental van that was reserved for me sitting in the parking lot. So from the pick up to the drop off was a completely horrible experience of with much frustration and lost unplanned hours of personal time, left with a low battery on my iPhone trying to do everything I could to receive the rental van that was reserved for me sitting in the parking lot. Top leaked onto my packages in the moms attic portion of the truck. Someone had did a temp repair with duct tape rental manager was unaware of the issue. Leaking water soaked two boxes of electronic equipment. Looking for some contact from someone in corporate ASAP.
