Renting the truck through the app was ridiculous and I do not recommend. I have never had problems or had to wait as long as I did this time. Uhaul is great but renting through the app was hard and took way to long. I had to go through so much just to get a truck from a location. They need to really step it up some.

GREAT PLACE TO RENT UHAULS!
TERRYTITUS LI feel it would have been smoother with a person on location, instead of have to go through has of reach someone on the 1-800 number with questions.
Irish MI rescheduled my pickup due to weather. I called the agent 36 hours prior. He did not call me back but another person with Uhaul online did. When I got there to get the truck he was not present. I lost over an hour waiting for the truck. He said he called me 3 times but there was no such record on my phone. The truck was not loaded with dollie or pads. Worst U-Haul experience ever.
INDIA wThe cab of the truck was not clean - very muddy. Otherwise, everything on the truck and the U-haul location was fine
WILLIAMANTHONY EMy original selection and confirmed reservation was to drop off in Dublin va. Uhaul changed this location to max meadows va the day of pick up on the contract. I dropped off equipment at Dublin location. Had terry in Dublin not called me, so I could contact uhaul and fix this, uhaul would have charged me for dropping off at wrong location. Thank you terry for saving me money. And uhaul should not be making changes like this. The contracts are hard to read on the phone. The contracts should match the confined reservations. Seems like a gotcha from uhaul to extract more money.

TERRYTITUS LHad to be moved to another location, ended up driving 67 miles versus 30 miles. No one would help me through custom service.
Samantha FI had a reservation to pick the truck early. When I got there and signed in on my phone it left a message that the location did not open until 9 when my reservation was for 7. There was a lock box on a pole and I knew the key was in it. No called uhaul and was told by multiple People there was not a code listed. I had to sit and wait for 1.5 hours to get a key. Owner gets there and he says that uhaul has the code and I should have been given the code. I said well call him and get the code and was told that uhaul did not have a phone number other than the office. You need to have a contact number for all owners so you can reach them. Shame on uhaul.
Carol CHad a reservation guarantee for 26-ft truck, but it wasn't available and they gave me a 20-ft truck. They did not refund my $50 like they said they would. I thought I'd checked in on my phone using the link they said, but they still charged me the $20 fee for not using mobile check-in.

Larry BThe app and the website showed two different pickup locations on the same reservation number. We had to call to figure out where we were supposed to pickup. The accessories we ordered were not available at our pickup location. The cab of the truck was filled with trash and smelled as if someone had been smoking in it. The back of the truck had broken glass and had not been cleaned.

CHELSEAMARGARET CWhen we ordered the UHaul it was at the Fairlawn location. We wanted to pick up the truck at that location. The truck was there on Friday evening. When we got there to pick it up on Saturday it was gone. We were sent to a Dublin location. We got to the 1st Dublin location and it was not there. The woman there looked up our reservation and sent us to a 2nd Dublin location. When we arrived there it was closed. Finally we got to First Stop Auto location and got our truck. First Stop was very nice to work with however the rest of the experience was awful.

I hgv ave previously rented many times, both one way and local, but after this horrible, impersonal experience, I am done with UHaul.

LISAGAYLE MSite did not have the moving cart requested. Truck was parked in a very muddy location and difficult to reach. Truck also smelled heavily of second hand smoke. I thought U-Haul vehicles were "no smoking"

lance bFantastic experience. Truck was in great shape and everything worked well. May need to test interior lights for cargo area, could not get them to turn on. But this could have been our ignorance.
Andrea GWas told we should have washed and cleaned the vehicle. Was not advised of that when we picked it up. Truck was not dirty and husband was unable to take it to car wash due to physical limitations. Employee said they would "take care of it and charge to back to the originating rental." We were only told to return vehicle with 3/4 tank of gas not that it had to be washed.

richard lThe staff was friendly and tried to be helpful, but it took a while to process my rental as they were not familiar with Uhaul's new software. Otherwise, the truck was in great shape and I had no problems. For what it's worth, I had to go to this location because the one nearer to my house was unexpectedly closed despite the Uhaul website saying they were open, and the second closest site did not have the type of truck I wanted. So, for Uhaul in general, I wish there was better coordination between the website and what is actually available at the various locations.
