I went online to rent the uhaul. I arrived at the location and walked in , did not have a mask but noticed they had mask at the entrance. I grab a mask and put it on. I then went to the counter and the rep assisted me. I gave her my name and she continued to enter data in the system and then gave me the keys. I asked her if I had any paperwork as I didn't want to drive the truck without a contract, and I wanted to make sure I was be charged accordingly. She's shared she emailed it to me, and I said okay. As I got in the truck I failed to look at the email, as I was struggling to move the seat up. After I was finished with the uhaul I returned it and I saw a male individual and he shared the store was closed and I could give the keys to him. I was a little confused as online it stated the store closed at 5pm. I returned the uhaul a little before 1:30pm. I asked him how was I going to get a final invoice he said by email. I said okay and left. I later received my invoice via email, and noticed I was charged for the safe move insurance. When I registered online I declined the insurance and I called and got the same man I returned the keys to. He said I must have not declined it because I wouldn't have gotten charged for it. I shared I had declined it and I shared that if I could have seen my contract beforehand this would have all be eliminated we would have been on the same page and I would have caught the charge for the safe move insurance. The man then when on to say I was blaming them for being charged, and I said no I'm not, I'm simply saying if I would have been able to see the contract before I left as I had asked earlier this wouldn't be an issue. The man stated I could call the 1800 customer service number to get it rectified, and that he was placing me on a no rent list. That's when I got frustrated and share a few words with him. I will never rent there ever as he was unprofessional and racist. If COVID is the reason why you do paperless transactions, then why wasn't he wearing a mask, and he allowed another family come in without mask, and these individuals were able to see their contract. He doesn't have to worry I'll NEVER come back to that racist establishment. Clearly being threaten to be place on a new rent list because you asked about an incorrect charge, and I share that we could have eliminated the confusion if I was able to see the contract up front ….constitutes being on a no rent list. So be it. I'll be going to the papers with this one as well. The man was clearly racist and I will share this with everyone! I'm being placed on a new rent list because I'm a person of color.

This was my second experience with this uhaul dealer. The first time was excellent! This time was total opposite.There wasn't anyone there when I arrived. They were at lunch. Uhaul did mention that online when I put in the reservation. Or I could have not seen it. Checking out information was wrong: wrong serial number of the truck and the gas meter in link read full when it wasn't. I added photos of gas meter and correct serial number in the link that was provided to me after texting fircrest towing. There were muds prints inside the truck when I looked it over during my pre drive inspection. I cleaned those before I returned it so the next person would have a clean vehicle. I filled it completely to full on the gas. When I returned the truck during regular business hours, no one was there to check it back in. I had to text someone again. I sent that person pics of mileage and gas meter. I have never checked a vehicle in without a person no being there so I wasn't sure exactly what all I should do. But my overall experience with equipment was great. I would recommend them based on my first time I used them. My first experience with them was awesome. Their equipment works well and well maintained. What I encountered was human error. Hopefully the my next experience will go much better.

The attendant was very helpful and attentive, but the location is not suitable for an after-hours drop-off. We're lucky somebody arrived on-site shortly after us, as there was no where for us to park the vehicle, and he agreed to take care of it on our behalf.

Bad experience using 24/7 mobile pickup. Had to wait for someone to come give me keys. 24/7 site asked for a password which i never created nor received. Very disappointing. Especially when having trouble and hearing a 51minute wait for customer service on the phone.

Told me to return it to the fuel level when rented. So I did. And they hit me with a fuel charge because it wasn't full when I returned it. Gotta watch these guys carefully. I'm not saying they're dishonest, but, you know, if it walks like a duck

Given the change in how rentals are handled due to covid, this was an easy process which was extremely quick and handled via text messaging. The person who handled my rental through text message was super kind and quick with responses. Would definitely rent through 2912 69th Ave in University Place again! I needed to rent the 10' truck another day and a simple text request was approved within seconds! Awesome job you guys! Ya'll are the best! Thanks for making my move an easy process!

My mileage was misrepresented on my final billing statement by 14 miles. I called customer service who basically told me that I should have reviewed the mileage before and after my rental. You can be assured that I will from now on, whatever vehicle rental company I use in the future. I have rented many cars in my lifetime and never once had my mileage misrepresented. That's because it is a highly competitive business and they cannot afford a poor experience. The customer service person at U-haul was more interested in the policies and dïdnt teach out to me personally to find out what my concern was or how he could make my experience a better one. Additionally, I believe there may be some issue with the person reading the before and after mileage but he was not interested in looking into that. I will be looking for other moving rental options and/or facilities in the future. Beware!

The gentleman there was very nice and very efficient. Would definitely recommend this place. Vehicle came in good shapet. The guy even gave me a pair of nitrile gloves and some sanitizing wipes. I'm sure all uHauls are doing that for their customers during these time but it was just nice to get that. I'm satisfied.

Didn't realize you had to do online return since we were returning within business hours. No one was there so I called but in the meantime I dropped the key in the slot. The person I spoke with guided me through the process which included taking pictures of the odometer/gas, interior cab and the back and where it was parked. Unfortunately since I already dropped the keys in the slot I couldn't take a live picture however I did take a pic of the odometer/gas before I left the truck but it didn't give me the option to upload a pic I had already taken. I sent the pic to my daughter and then took a pic of the pic on her phone and uploaded it. The pics of the cab I had to take from the outside looking in and was able to take a pic of the back and where it was parked. I was able to get it done but I didn't realize I had to go through that process since I was returning during business hours. I understand the COVID issue played a part but a little inconvenient.

The truck was in great condition, but the bed had been painted. When I went to load it I found it was still tacky, a minor set-back. There weren't and other trucks available. The gentleman working that day was helpful and lent moving blankets to lay down so I could get on with my move. I was happy with my service.

I was overcharged for an after hours drop even though I returned the vehicle in person. They didn't even mention anything about an additional fee if I were to drop off the vehicle after hours. Very disheartening to see this type of tactic being utilized. Don't see this with other U-Haul locations

The phone number I called was given as the Gig Harbor location when I set up the rental. When we got there to pick up we were told our pick up was at the Univetsity Place office. So we drove an extra 6 miles to that location to pick up our rental. This cost us an additional $12 in mileage fees plus a $5 bridge toll we would not have had otherwise. Additionally we did not receive a text or verification of our rental which I expected.

Absolutely recommend this location. However my overall experience with uhaul has been extremely disappointing. Cost me twice as much as it should have all because they neglected to tell me until 8pm the night before that they didn't have the equipment I had originally reserved.

I got charged for the safe move plus $28 protection which I decline. Guy said he would notate it so I do not get charged when I return the truck. I got charged a week later, my rental charge included that safe move plus which i already declined. I called to get it refunded. I got a receipt showing a refund for safe move $14 which was incorrect. I called back to fix it. Still no full refund, when I went into store the guy there was rude. Didn't apologize for his mistake, since I got charged regardless of him saying he would fix it. He said they had nothing to do with it and gave me the district manager #. Which he should have handled since it was their mistake not mine. Poor customer service and I want my refund.

The people at this location were nice and helpful. However this was not our scheduled drop off location and my husband had to walk over 10 miles home when our original location was only a block from our new home. We got no notice of the location change and I don't know why we were forced to drop off here.

The location was hard to find (instructions ought to be provided). All the people were nice, which I appreciated. The "19.95" rate is misleading given the charged rate per mile. I ended up paying over seventy dollars for four hours, driving around 35 miles. Those are expensive miles!

I turned the uhaul in 2 hours late and got charged a full day. I'm not sure if that is the norm but on my receipt it shows uhaul was rented for 2 full days instead of just 26 hours. I'm disappointed and would of not mind getting charged the way I did if it reflected the correct return date and time.
