i went to the drop off location in advance to be sure of where to leave truck and where to put key. the owner was very courteous, helpful, and informative

I scheduled a mobile pickup because I needed the truck before the opening hours but was unable to pickup the truck due to some issue with the mobile app. I did everything - pictures of drivers license, headshot, etc. The app just kept saying my rental qualifications were being reviewed and I tried chatting with no response ever. When the store opened, an employee there had to complete my checkout because the app just would not work. That put my entire day running late for pickup appointments. This was not a good experience.

Dropping off truck was no problem but there was a customer waiting to pick up a scheduled vehicle and the business decided to close early without notice.

Do not change the pickup location the day a pickup is scheduled! My pickup experience at Farmville Sporting Goods was excellent. But YOU, the main office of U-Haul, changed my pickup location the day I was to take delivery of the 26 foot truck. It is not good business practice to change a "contract" once is it accepted by both parties. If YOU tell me I can rent a truck from location A, I expect to get the truck from location A. After speaking with the employees at Farmville Sporting Goods, I understand this happens frequently. Unfortunately, it reflects bad for them, I was told. But I know it is not their fault. I originally tried to rent from a Keysville storage facility on Farmville RD. My confirmation came back with a location in the town of Farmville. I was okay with that because it was two weeks before my rental need date. However, the day of my rental I received a phone call that this facility in Farmville did not have a 26 foot truck for me! I had scheduled movers/volunteers for the next morning and this facility did not have any truck for me. I was referred to Farmville Sporting Goods and he had a truck coming in at 3 pm; my pickup time was 4 pm. I asked him to call the renter and make sure the truck would be returned by 4. I was able to pick up the truck at 4 but not without some consternation. YOU need to do better for your customers. I will think long and hard before I rent another moving apparatus from U-Haul.

The truck has issues with the brakes or transmission and also the gas gauge I had to put more gas in it because it did not register on the gauge where I had put any in it and it cost me money out of my pocket

Get your order correct. Wrong size truck; truck not full of gas at time of pickup; U-Haul did not follow time of reservation request; no one at U Haul return site at 4:50PM; U Haul wanted me to change the return site to a location more than 22 miles from my residence even though my reservation was for a return 1 1/2 mile from my residence. If Ryder had been available in Farmville, I would have cancelled my order on Thursday afternoon May 16th.
